Reason: Bacteria, Mold, Fungus on your body! EWWW. Refrigeration will NOT preserve your product. Nasties start growing within 24 hours even when refrigerated. However, please refrigerate if you do not use a preservative at your own risk.

I ordered a whipped base before and it had a preservative already in it. As usual Yaya it came out beautiful and thank you for sharing

Most already have a preservative when you buy them, so they are fine if used as is. However, if you add ingredients and make a whole new product, it is standard to add a preservative again. I hope this helps. 💜

Thanks again for another amazing DIY video! Quick question, if I don’t have Phenoxyethanol and Ethylhexylglycerin as preservatives, what can I substitute them with?
Finally have seen someone talking about Phenoxyethanol, how much percentage is recommended in a product? Will be glad to hear your answer
You can try A preservative with a wide pH range. The one I have can thrive in ph between 3 and 12, so it works well for most cleansing products like soaps. I will look into some others with a wide range. 😊💜

Some bases already come with the preservative phenoxyethanol, would we need to add more?
Most bases already have a preservative when you buy them, so they are fine if used as is. However, if you add ingredients and make a whole new product, it is standard to add a preservative again. I hope this helps. 💜
