Homemade Whipped Soap recipe from your SOAP SCRAPS!

- Hey Everyone! Thanks for joining me this week!
Today we are making whipped soap with our soap scraps! The amazing Abra at lustration soaps developed a recipe that allows us to simultaneously get rid of scraps of soap, and make a brand new product for our customers to enjoy.
You can pick up the recipe at her website, thelustration.com/products/ho... for just $5! In my opinion, $5 is a total steal for allowing you to create new product from something you would otherwise throw away.

Thank you for sharing this and linking my website. You did a great job on the video. I wanted to add a tip. If you add boiling water for the water portion, it will help those scraps melt down in the double boiler.
If you’re shredding up a bar of soap to use I always like to shred it on the fine side of the grater. That also helps with melting completely.

I would never buy a recipe period. Everything is free through Google and pinterest
500 gr Soap shreds+400 gr water+300 gr glicerine +360 gr stearic acid. Put everything in double boiler (pot-in-pot with water in the first pot,that stays on the flame). Wait for melting (up to 70-80 degree), stir from time to time and then mix/whisk the melted composition.
Super frustrating to not have a way to buy the recipe. I have a bucket full of soap shreds and I keep checking back to see if there is a way to get the recipe ❤️

Hello! I used this recipe, but there’s a brown syrup that is collecting at the bottom of the whipped soap. I’m unsure what it is or how to deal with it….any ideas?

Without giving away the recipe, can you or Abra please list the ingredients, this is a great idea but there’s a huge list of ingredients I won’t use because my brand is all natural. No point buying a recipe if I can’t use it. Thank you🥰

No it doesn’t. I have some 6 months old that has not hardened or deflated.

So what is the preservative in this?
It doesn’t need a preservative because it is low water. If the water content was higher then it would need one. However if you feel more comfortable adding one by all means add one. The useage rates will depend on the preservative you use. Hope this helps.

So I emailed her several times saying I would love to purchase the recipe however I need to know if it indeed has a preservative in it or not. She will not respond!
