A Touching Tribute to Chyna

- On the heart-breaking news of the early demise of beloved wrestler/actress Chyna, Doug Stanhope has released a clip from his until-now shelved special "Popov Vodka Presents an Evening with Doug Stanhope" taped live at The Funhouse in Bisbee, AZ.
As you'll see from this touching recollection of his evening with Chyna, Prince isn't the only artist who left a lasting impression on the people who were exposed to their art.
Chyna will never be forgotten, thanks to this touching tribute!
People don't get it that a lot of his dark humor is an honest commentary on the sadness of humanity.
Don't try to make some public psychological commentary out of just some sick humor
that's why its funny dip shit
Kenneth Thomas why not?
@@kenneththomas2032 Kenny is hurt from Doug's accurate perception of life
In my opinion, the best comedians and satirists apply this method to the very best of their respective material. After all, comedy IS tragedy upside down, and laughter it's a natural human response to fear, i. e., being surprised 😱🤣
Edit: and in my opinion and limited experience, Stanhope is second only to Bill Hicks (R.I.P.) in this respect.
Aside from the all mighty Carlin, Nobody bests Doug when it comes to describing the rock bottom of society.
Absolutely Nobody!
Ahmed Sultani for me It’s Bill Hicks, George and Doug, and maybe the other Bill.
I agree with the other two assholes. Bill Hicks was great at it! Black comedians are good too, but they try too hard to only point out problems with white people, which is kinda racist in itself
Frankie Boyle lives it and presents it in all it's brutal beauty like Doug and ofttimes with the eloquence of Carlin. All geniuses who've seen through the veil of society facing the incumbent self-destructive depression then conceiving a bleak level of dark humour strong enough to make it light, and in so many cases they've become teachers of everything society has left unsaid shrink-wrapped in humour to make it palatable.
@@GregArnott Frankie Boyle is now WOKE and not funny.
@@edwardlionheart2689 Frankie is from Glasgow and therefore has always been left wing. So sorry you never realised that
It's always surprises me just how accurate Doug descriptive language can be. Especially when he's describing something you don't want to see.
he's truly an artist
You do tend to forget just how verbose he is.
I'm jacking off to this as we speak.
"I'm Doug Stanhope, that's why I drink"
And
the last great living comedian
It'sAGundam disagree, Dave Attell is still alive
Decidedly one of the all time greats!
Huh, I was just about to say Attell. I'm glad others recognize Godliness.
Bill Burr also
Chapelle too
The world will be a better place when "Popov Vodka Presents an Evening with Doug Stanhope" is released in its entire. Do it for the starving children, Stanhope.
I've been arrested twice. The first time, I blacked out on Popov. Never touched it again.
+J Ribs That should be quoted on the bottle.
+J Ribs ...right...because it was the brand of vodka that got you arrested.
+Stephen Bawdrick I'm one to tell people that all hard liquors, no matter the type or brand, will get you the same level of drunk if the proof is the same. I got arrested, because I was young, dumb, and drunk. I never returned because I decided cheap shitty vodka binge drinking in college was not a good idea. I didn't even imply what you're suggesting.
+J Ribs then you better steer the fuck clear of drambuie.
Doug Stanhope makes Louis c.k. sound like Jerry Seinfeld.
Perfect eulogy for Chyna. Rest in piece, little she-ogre angel you.
hey guys. just doing some shameless self-promoting. used some stanhope in my new video, please check it out /watch?v=wauLJHrHlF4
Rest in piece both you and your bee-stung Asian eye.
Stanhope is IT. One of a kind, just as Pryor, Kinnison, Carlin were
"bee-stung Asian eye"
Saw Stanhope live in pdx. He was so spun he couldn't speak. Left early with no disrespect. Did not go to some bs manager and demand a discount. I dig the art. I appreciate stanhope for the human he is.
@Skelter American and westerners in general have no clue what constutites left or right at all. Stanhope criticsms are left wing polemical postions of right wing oligarchies, and the current state of collapse of the US empire
@@mydarlinggirlrachae He's just a comedian dude it's not that deep
"looking around the room for comforting eye contact" I'm crying again...awww that was good :)
Old Geezer here, I think Stanhope is too honest for most people. I love 'em. I have a good education , traveled the world but this guy's life makes me examine everything I have ever learned. He is so good and smart, it's scary.
This is why I love his honest human it's real life experiences and probably 15% of society has experienced scenarios like this but don't talk about it. Some of us on here have lived stuff like this. Lol
If you never read his two books I highly recommend it. He reminds me of Hunter S Thompson’s style of writing
I want to say that this is the best 12 minutes of comedy ive ever heard by like a pretty large margin. so brutally and relentlessly honest and dark.. ive never laughed so hard
Are you that guy from American History X?

"Eight mistakes." isnt a proper sentence.
I send this clip to chicks on tinder when I already know it's not going anywhere but they haven't ghosted me yet. Because I like Stanhope and I want his fanbase to grow.
You're a legend
I did that in my 20’s. Doesn’t really work. Chicks aren’t funny and don’t have senses of humour. unless they’re fat. if they’re hot they’re just dumb.
Fuck me, one of the funniest Stanhope bits I've heard for years. :D
His description of Chyna's film was so vivid, I had to go watch it just to see if it was as horrific as described.
It was. "How am I going to cum to this atrocity" is an understatement.
Same hahaha 😆 Stanhope isn't lying.
You took one for the team.
It's trending on Tik Tik now! :)
dear God. please release more of this special

"Didn't even reach the knuckle hair." Had to catch my breath on that one..
that was outstanding
he has some sort of super power when it comes to Metaphors and Describing gross things . It's so fucking funny
Nobody can make my sides split like Doug Stanhope.
I'm literally in tears I'm laughing so hard.
Vulgar. Disgusting. Vile. Sickening.
Genius.
Why on earth did I think this was going to be a sweet touching story?
Why, indeed?
I will say, it was definitely a touching story.
Doug, I'm so damn proud of you. If those teenaged millionaires you just met with in LA are asking if you have it or not just show them this. 85,000 in 20 days, bro! You have it!
"It looks like a bee stung Chinese eye".... Lmfao!
TY Doug, my life is complete! I have lived to hear schadenfreude used correctly in a comedy routine... mark that one off the bucket list

Proof that Stanhope actually is cerebral.
@@neuman1887 there's a method to his madness, for sure

Stanhope's rants makes life suck a little less for a short while
pure gold as always!!
i'm sure i've heard this before , but i mustn't have been listening properly, 'cos you had me crying laughing 3 times . . . thanks man , i needed that
This is how I talk to my friends when they ask for relationship advice.
How the hell do i buy "Popov Vodka Presents an Evening with Doug Stanhope"?
Doug Stanhope is genius at adjectives, the emphasis, feeling and strain he puts into his voice. By far better than others limp wrist-ed comedians out there.
The look in her face when he witnessed her hitting rock bottom....omg. Love him. My drunk uncle tries to say funny stuff like that in conversations, but his delivery is terrible. Stanhope has to rein the Drunk Uncle great story teller!
Would love to say that was one of the greatest bits of all time, but Doug has so many great bits....still one of my favs
Pure gold.
I cried... it's brillant.
That's like tearing the last three pages out of Huckleberry Finn!
"Pre-Cambrian bone-brow" HAHAHAHAHA holy FUCK that's funny!!
"It looks like a beestung Asian eye"
Yes! I heard this bit live in El Paso so long ago and have been hoping to hear it again. Finally!
I can't stop laughing my ass off! Doug Stanhope is the best!!!
Nobody makes me hurt like Doug..love the guy
"welcome to show business" I just picture John Lequizamo from that movie Spawn
I saw Doug do this bit a few years ago at the Tampa Improv and was hoping it was gonna be on Beer Hall Putsch. It wasn't but I'm glad it's finally gonna be out somewhere because holy FUCK is it funny.
A "Touching" Tribute to Chyna.
I see what ya did there. Subtle. But accurate hehe
"She looks like Hellboy"
This is fucking great, I really want to see/hear this full special. The crazy bastard is in fine form
I cried through the whole thing.
"Pre-cambrian bone brow" hahahahaha
"A Retractable Dome" brilliant!
My all time favorite comic, Doug Stanhope (yes, even above George Carlin). I would subscribe to this channel, but I'm going into comedy myself and I'd sound too much like him from watching him so much.
Much love Doug! I hope I never meet you because you're amazing on stage and I'm sure you'd be polar opposite off stage.
That's actually a great strategy. Whenever I tried to write or work something out I'd get to that moment of clarity of "this is hilarious" and then its often followed by "fuck, I hope nobody EVER figured out this platitude before. I better google this shit". Which is kind of annoying but it isn't a bad thing cause it maintains a level of integrity and keeps what your writing and saying competitive (for lack of a better word).
Listen to Doug stanhope podcast
Above Carlin is ridiculous. Ask Stanhope himself.
Jimbo McSpunk Carlin’s later stuff was sub par. It was good for anyone else, but it felt so weak.
@@brucelombardo you're kidding right? His early stuff was good but it was damn near kid friendly often times. Of course stand up as a whole was in its infancy but it still took a while for even the great George Carlin to polish and refine. U catch his opening bit on his HBO special 'Life is Worth Losing"? That opening rant is just epic. I was lucky enough to see him live shortly before he passed and he still was killin' it even @ 69 years of age my dude. Everyone has their opinion but I hafta totally and respectfully disagree with your assessment.
Love Doug!! His voice has got me through some shit. Plus, I think he's super cute. I love intelligent, but slightly dysfunctional (from a societal perspective) people that make me laugh. Ticking those boxes...
a bee stung Asian eye.It doesn't get any funnier.F()king brilliant!

Very touching indeed
RIP Chyna

So ready for this new special.
+Evan Goch No date yet, just soon as announced on his last couple podcasts. It was recorded during the last half of 2015 I believe.

Thanks to whoever puts this channel together. #TrueKillerTermite

I used to be able to just close my eyes and tug it Douggie. Glad I got to see you at the Mall of Africa in Bloomington, MN.
hes like the charles bukowski of comedy. this sounds like poetry. Bill hicks did a little bit of that with the billy ray cyrus bit
Try listening to that at work without bursting in laughter
The greatest comedian of all time!
he's more of a great storyteller rather than a comedian, he just so happens to be funny lol
Yep cause I'll bet 97% of his skits are real life experiences. I should become a comedian cause if I could convey my life experiences like he does he'd go man I did the same crazy shit as you man like millions of us have.
It was moving.....I shed a tear or two.
'A bee-stung Asian eye' ... Priceless!!
Truly, a class act
Just Doug Stanhope so real he's money let's have it. It's way to real.
I'm really touched by this.
His wardrobe alone makes me laugh out loud
Please release this in its entirety. I would gladly pay for it, also when is the newest special coming out?
That was fantastic. Listening to Doug speak, one gets the impression that he's in some sort of decline, whether it be in ability to be funny, or material to draw from, but I disagree, Doug. You keep churning out gold, year after year. Your brilliant, hilarious metaphors are second to none.
Do you ever revisit a video and read a comment you left, and 1) you don't remember leaving it and 2) you realize how much of a twat you sound like?
No, he does sound depleted in interviews. According to him its because he's sober. The friend who worked so hard to convince him to stop drinking even reluctantly told him he wasn't funny without it.
What a shameful display of horror and disrespect. Is this what our society has regressed to? I can't believe people take such glee at another person's rock bottom experience.
Never laughed so hard in my life.
Major Ramsey Its comedy. It's not to be taken seriously.
