I like your cigarette analogy. When I stopped drugs I didnt keep saying I'm an addict with six months in recovery. I thought and said, I dont do drugs. Maybe I did, but now I dont. So that they werent part of my identity.
Finn, all of your videos before this one were valuable. Jerking off is medically and psychologically healthy. The religion industry with their 4,200 churches (profitable franchises) not so much
In my opinion, which I believe most sex therapists would agree with, masturbation is not a sin (except for those with certain religious beliefs) nor is it unhealthy. Victorian sexual sensibilities have had a bit of a comeback as of late with the fad of the so-called ,"no fap" community which seems to be more political in nature rather than health-driven. Our human brains are wired to lust. Yes, unlike less intelligent animals we can exert control over our base urges to some extent. But I loath the artificial constructs of organized religion that places unnecessary stress and constraints upon its followers, which I rather pity to be honest.
Interesting choice of background music for your topic: Beethoven’s Moonlight sonata (1st movt). I love this piece. So ethereal, mysterious. Is your family Catholic or just yourself? I am sorry you feel that lust and j*rking off are wrong, sinful. You are just creating unnecessary stress for yourself. I think that most things are not bad/good per se -they become “bad” if they end up ruling our lives and limiting us. J*rking off can actually be healthy. Once a day is perfectly natural and normal, especially at your age. Enjoy it. No need for guilt. As long as you respect yourself and others. Take care, Finn! :)
My family have never really been religious but it’s something I’m starting to get into. As for je*king off I still hold the belief it is sinful and wrong but I understand some may not see it that way. Have a good day
@@FinnF812 What caused you to think this way? Do you feel overwhelmed by lustful thoughts and general horniness to the point you feel guilty and makes interacting with others really awkward? Some people who feel this way sometimes choose to think like you do. I’m not sure it’s always THE way. I’m not preaching here. Just friendly advice. It’s your life, you decide what goes. I would just say that as humans, we have an infinite number of thoughts coming in and out of our minds. Some of them are meaningless and silly and not worth thinking about. We sometimes ATTACH IMPORTANCE to some of those thoughts and then we get “stuck” in a vicious circles of trying to avoid thinking those thoughts. By this, I don’t mean just sexual thoughts. Any thoughts. I found that if we become “objective observers” of these thoughts and just allow them to pass on their own without us trying to push them away then those thoughts will lose their power. That’s because we are giving them less power to disrupt our lives. It’s part of our biology and how our minds/brains are to think lustful thoughts and get horny. It’s part of us. No big deal. Be proud of yourself. Nobody is perfect! The less importance you give those urges and thoughts the less you will feel the need to “regulate” yourself and you will strike the right balance eventually. Don’t worry!
Medacine and science both agree that moderate self pleasure is healthy, normal, and even beneficial. Sexual feeling are healthy and normal not a sin. The way NO fap frames sexuality is that it's dirty, it's not, it's perfectly natural and no one should feel ashamed of what is natural. Please stop shaming yourself and your peers. More education required.
I am concerned about the reference to "sin" and whether you are tying it to lust or masturbation. Depending upon whether a person is Christian, Jewish, or neither, there are different answers to this. If I guess you to be Christian, I have to point out that "the sin of Onan" mentioned in the Bible is told about in the Old Testament. Further, Onan's offense was premature withdrawl to prevent pregnancy, not masturbation, which is nowhere mentioned explicitly in the Bible. That part of the Bible has a vast assortment of rules and laws which do NOT pertain to Christians. Classics among them are the Kosher laws found in the book of Leviticus. Do you eat pork, shrimp, crab, cheeseburgers? Do you have any clothes that are made from two different fibers? If so, you're breaking the rules, but if you are a Christian, or not Christian or Jewish, they don't apply to you. The bottom line here is that perhaps you're concerned about this for reasons other than its ascribed "sinfulness," which in my humble opinion is pure modern-day religious bigot hogwash. You're going through a period in your life when your reproductive system is running rampant, and is capable of much more than it will be able to manage ten years from now. It is biological. Be that as it may, if this is a matter of personal choice, and your own ethics, than I say more power to you. But if you're being pressed to it by someone's religious notions, I would contend that if they claim to be Christian, they're off the mark. Again, if you are just looking to exercise self control, and help others to do so as well, more power to you, but I think that masturbation is an excellent way to relieve stress.

Masturbation isn't a sin. It's normal and a healthy part of sexual development

Wanking is not a sin. It's a natural and healthy stress reliever. Everything in moderation but this is a battle you don't need to wage.
