- I am busting 20 Super Smash bros. myths, urban legends and rumors in todays video. Questions you've always wondered like can you play as the master hand, is Rayman a secret playable character in smash ultimate or can you actually get over 999 percent?
In this video, I'll take a look at a complete history of Super Smash bros rumors. Our journey covering major rumors starts with Super Smash Bros. on the Nintendo 64, and goes all the way to Super Smash bros Ultimate on the Nintendo Switch. 3:03 Bowser’s down throw in Melee is specifically coded to deal damage based on the opponent’s weight; the heavier they are, the more damage they take. However, Jigglypuff’s weight value is so low that Bowser’s down throw deals no damage to her (alongside Pichu and G&W)

I remember when I was a kid, my friends and I would stay up allllll night for many nights trying to unlock sonic.. truly believing the myth was real.. It’s such a shame it was fake..

I wish some of these were real, what if there is actually a character that is so freaking impossibly hard to unlock that nobody has done it to this day
It would be so cool... but data miners and leaks would spoil the surprise, it would be practically impossible for them to get away with it (plus, it would probably be pretty hard for the devs to keep that big surprise a secret for so long).

I've played melee a billion times when I was a kid and I've never seen ditto appear,so people claiming that it can appear is wrong,cause as much as I played melee,ditto is the only pokemon that's never ever appeared

The water dealing damage to fire types only works in brawl against pokemon trainer. Fire deals more damage to ivysaur, electric deals more damage to squirtle, and water moves deals more damage to charizard. They took it out in ultimate
That’s dumb they took it out, because that’s actually true within Pokémon lore isn’t it?

If Yoshi eats giant Jigglypuff, she'll grow even bigger when she pops out of the egg.
10:55 Giant Jigglypuff: one more little detail to this: if you play as Yoshi and Jigglypuff and you do this little glitch and then use Yoshi's B-attack (where you put Jigglypuff in an egg) Jigglypuff will grow even more. A little bit with every B-attack until it's so big that it simply is in the blast zone and loses a life.

I remember in a video, Masahiro Sakurai, had a lot of action figures which he used as fighters for smash bros, at the time when he mentioned Pyra and Mythra in his house.

11:04 this is exactly what happened when luke and Kevin play this.
The master hand glitch works because the master hand is the first character listed in the code. Like if the characters all have numbers in an ordered list, Mario is 1, Luigi is 2, peach is 3, etc, but master hand is 0. So when there's no character where there needs to be a character, and you actually get it to go through, you get automatically assigned the first character from the list, which is 0, which is master hand.

it's more likely that those Metal Mario videos just set the character to Metal Mario, rather than editing regular Mario. Metal Mario is actually a distinct character with distinct (and worse) hitboxes, not just increased weight and defense
Ditto was always in super smash bros. melee, he has a random chance of replacing other pokemon.

Another thing: Pokemon Stadium (I think the first version) has an image of a cat hidden in a house in one of its forms. This was rumored to be Sakurai's cat, however he confirmed the cat is not his.

Myth: The Smash Series has a great deal of respect for the Sonic franchise.
I know the secret character unlocks are clearly fake but it would have been nice for consistency if you actually followed the instructions to get them. Like the Metal Mario one sounded pretty simple. It wouldn't have hurt to do the steps instead of just saying "well obviously this is fake."
Giant Jigglypuff also grows even bigger for some reason when Yoshi eats her

I believe bowesers throw does no damage to jigglypuff because it is either bugged or its because Bowser does damage based on the characters weight, jigglypuff is pretty much a balloon

Any Electronic Gaming Monthly is likely to either be an April Fools Joke or get busted. This goes for *_EVERY SINGLE_* "Busting xx amount (insert game) Myths" video, I've already seen 3 other videos in the "Video Game Myth Busting" series, and if I recall correctly, which I doubt because I watched the first two (oldest two in the playlist which are at the bottom, and I wish it was sorted by when the videos were posted from oldest to newest instead of the opposite, but I get _why_ that isn't the case), point is, if I recall correctly, which is unlikely due to the fact I watched the two oldest videos in this series late last night, either way, I believe that almost every Electronic Gaming Monthy myth was either an April Fools joke or busted

Master Hand uses the D Pad in Melee so press the D Pad plus other buttons. You can fully control him.

There was no costume of players going more than 999 percent so the game thinks to put it back to 0

I believe Ditto is in melee but only his picture when you pick random in tournament I believe then that means we are Ditto, we he is in the game, Myth kinda confirmed

Hey I saw this in a video if you play Pokémon trainer in I believe braw you take more nock back as charzard from water moves ivysaur from fire moves and squirtal from grass moves as a reference to type charts
