Tbh I liked Oceanhorn. It was a Zelda away from Zelda. It reminded me alot more of Phantom Hourglass than it did Windwaker, and the story is unique enough to be considered an above average game in my books.
Oceanhorn is a pretty good game. I actually downloaded it for Switch for the similarity 😂 When I saw Kirby Dream Course, I had Marble Madness flashbacks 😨
To be fair, Ocean Horn is a mobile game that found its way to consoles. At that time it was released, developers like Gameloft were ripping off games like GTA, Assassins Creed and COD and offering pseudo-mobile versions of those franchises. So in a way, there was an agreement between both developers and consumers that these games were supposed to be rip-offs, cause they offered a similar experience to their official AAA equivalents in a mobile format. Nowadays a lot of these AAA franchises are having official mobile games. But interestingly, we are still yet to see a mobile Zelda game, so Oceanhorn is still a good alternative there. But of course, it makes no sense to play it on the Switch, when i could be playing the real thing.
Oceanhorn was actually really fun. 1 and 2. 2 was probably more of a Breath of the Wild ripoff than 1, but with even more features like and over the shoulder third person camera like Resident Evil and it actually is worth the money. Out of all these games you talk about, Oceanhorn was actually worth the time and very well made.
I was excited to try oceanhorn at first despite knowing it was a Zelda clone since it came out when the only Zelda we had on Switch was BOTW. once I started it I was so incredibly bored because of how SLOW THE CHARACTERS MOVES
Tony Hawk games have always had a mode where you do tricks and claim pieces of land in your color. So Scoot is definitely aesthetically similar to Splatoon but I think it's more like that Tony Hawk mode than anything.
The Indie battle game actually has some cool characters in it, even the one guy from Friday Night Funkin. I don't think that game counts as a rip off. Tbh, I'd still enjoy playing all those games
Pico and hank came from different games, Hank is from (blank) madness and Pico is from I think the same game although the games are always on Pico day (usually)
Holy shit bro, when I started watching a little over a year ago I thought you were super underrated but you're starting to blow up. That makes me so happy to see dog, you have no idea. Keep it up man, you deserve it
0:40 Italian emphasis on tony lol. Becomes a don with unlimited fire flowers. 1:38 don’t take chests for granted. Kena has you manually dive in to get lol and some games have bad animations like star ocean divine force and Valkyrie elysium. I did have a barrel get stuck in midair for Oceanhorn 2 for no reason lol. Robopon 2 is better, you got a party and they fight at the same time.
I've played Oceanhorn, it's not bad but also kind of underwhelming. The game is pretty short and the story really needed more explaining. Although there is a sequel that I haven't played yet. I'd love for a real Kirby's Dream Course remake. If some rando indie dev can do it, why not HAL? And I *LOVE* the idea of an Animal Crossing game that has some tribal/raiding aspects to it. That game seems a lot more interesting than New Horizons just for that aspect alone.
I used to play oceanhorn 2. I never even heard of Nintendo aside from pokemon and liked oceanhorn 2 but struggled. After playing totk and botw oceanhorn feels less original but still the confusing, fun adventure of it is game. Now, there's a vague memory slot of galactoss.
Oceanhorn took inspiration from The Legend Of Zelda That doesn’t mean they ripped it off. And honestly I think It is a really fun game and they made a 2nd and it is MUCH Different than the first, and both games are on mobile and Zelda isn’t so it is actually pretty helpful in my opinion
Ok whoa! I maybe recognized the characters you pointed out and maybe like 1 or 2 more (from games I've never interacted with). But that Indie Battle game has Crow from Nefarious!?!? Did they have the permission for that?
I love that "bulby" also copied the trees from super mario 3d world and just coloured them green. It even looks almost identical to one of the captain toad levels!
The weirdest thing happened when I was watching your videos when I was watching the part with the Zelda rip off once it was about to end there was a ad about a guy playing Zelda
I know a game on Xbox called craftopia, and it literally uses animations from Breath of the wild, but it was also released in 2017, so I’m not sure if it was a copy(I don’t know what month or day) Edit: It released last year
There is no shame in liking Oceanhorn, they did do take a lot of elements but they made their own thing (ish), and it was the closest thing to a Zelda game available in IOS, i really liked it. Lep's World is another game i had fun playing, but it wasn't as refined as Oceanhorn.
ocean horn is actually a pretty good game and did you know that theres a second game on apple arcade and i think you should play it if you make sequel to this video
I don't feel right about you calling stuff like Oceanhorn "ripoffs." It just feels like an excuse to shit on indie devs for daring to take inspiration from another game they liked (Not to mention your comparisons to BotW are completely unfounded since it came out *5 years* earlier). At least with Pokémon you didn't use something like Coromon/Nexomon, or worse, something like Monster Sanctuary or Ni No Kuni (Games that are COMPLETELY different, yet people call them "Pokémon clones/ripoffs" all the time). Robopon makes sense, at least.
Oceanhorn is one of the most fun games I played. It's basic but still really good. Oceanhorn 2 was meh, but I feel like the first one really did great for itself.
For the pokemon thing, loomian legacy comes to mind when people talk about similar games to pokemon... loomian legacy clearly has love and care put into it, which separates it from robopon or whatever it was called 😂
That Oceanhorn, BotW/Windwaker ripoff was so...well, I found it funny that somebody actually pulled it off. I have to be honest, I don't know anything about making games and the rights to them or whatever, but no copyright issues, no anything with that Oceanhorn game?
I bet the reason 95% of "Indie Battle's" Characters aren't from indie games is because the devs weren't able to get permission. I bet most of the characters are just made up anyways lol
Nintendo(when they see companies making rip offs of their IP's): passes Nintendo(when they see their fans making fan made stuff based on their IP's): OK THAT'S A LAWSUIT!!!
Wooooow you make me wonder... What would happen in that parallel universe where Hudson could be the owner of the best IP in gaming revenue and where Game Freak died for it mediocre games in the process. Geeeeezeeeee that universe sounds better than this one!

there’s a more direct animal crossing new horizons ripoff called Isla Sinaloa. the dialogue and everything is exactly the same and the characters are something else 🤣💀
oceanhorn came out in 2013, so I doubt the outfit was trying to copy botw.
it’s crazy that it looks so similar
It's a bit like his Wind Waker pyjamas, I thought.
You're right! Still did a ton of other copying though
BotW came out on the WiiU
@@crystalcubing4259 in 2017
Tbh I liked Oceanhorn. It was a Zelda away from Zelda. It reminded me alot more of Phantom Hourglass than it did Windwaker, and the story is unique enough to be considered an above average game in my books.
yeah the sequel especially
It also came out a good bit before botw, so him saying they copied Link's look from that game is inaccurate.
I agree. I think it's just a coincidence that the art and animation look a lot like the Zelda Series.
Oceanhorn is a pretty good game. I actually downloaded it for Switch for the similarity 😂
When I saw Kirby Dream Course, I had Marble Madness flashbacks 😨
Oceanhorn came out on mobile in 2016
Oceanhorn actually has a sequel too.
@@octolockg5059 yeah, also a pretty good game 🙂
I really wanted to try it haha maybe I'll get them both soon
@@octolockg5059 No it has a prequill

2:20 "Four unlit lanterns, I wonder what you have to do!" -basically every bonus chest puzzle in LoZ
They had some good ones in Link’s Awakening.
I liked the oceanhorn game, while it may have taken some HEAVY inspiration from the zelda franchise, it has a lot of cool unique stuff.
I was excited to try oceanhorn at first despite knowing it was a Zelda clone since it came out when the only Zelda we had on Switch was BOTW. once I started it I was so incredibly bored because of how SLOW THE CHARACTERS MOVES

But it came out in 2013, impossible to copy it
@@eightohthreefilms I never said it copied BOTW. It copied 2D Zelda and wind waker
@@studioarentain3960 yeah you're right

This stage looks like it was ripped straight from a Mega Man fan game.
The Indie battle game actually has some cool characters in it, even the one guy from Friday Night Funkin. I don't think that game counts as a rip off. Tbh, I'd still enjoy playing all those games

Yes I love em too there really funny

That Kirby dream course didn’t necessarily seem like a “rip off” it’s probably just a basic golfing game
Oh my god. Can't believe you suffered through these rip offs just for us to view. Gotta respect that. You did a great job
All in a days work. Thank you man!
@@InfiniteBits Great. First Mario Kart, and now entire Nintendo franchises. I think they're taking this way too far.
newgrounds being the background took me tf out 🤣🤣
I can’t believe they didn’t add characters like sans, cuphead, the prisoner (dead cells) or the knight (hollow knight)
The game got canceled much before those characters even existed

I actually have a physical copy of robopon it as an unusual cartridge
I’d love to find the GBA sequels someday
I just love how in Bulby's Dream Course there is an enemy that is literally the same enemy that appears in Kirby games.

Oceanhorn 2 is frickin fun as all heck.
The lore has driven me clinically insane
For the animal crossing one, there is a game called galactic getaway and it's exactly like animal crossing
Ocean horn is on the Nintendo eshop meaning they probably approved it being their so I may buy it TOTK will allways be the best though.
Oceanhorn isn't really a rip-off and more of a "inspired by it" type of deal
Not gonna lie the leprechaun knock off mario was my childhood I used to love that game
gotta say, the dreamcourse ripoff looks really enticing. since the original is pretty old and kinda discontinued, ill give it a shot
Good to see you back! Hope your holidays on the South were nice!
If you ever played graffiti in any of the tony hawk games that scoot game is a blatant rip off of those game modes
Hmm...Animal Crossing with guns, Pokémon with guns this year... how coincidental! Two cute Nintendo franchise ripoffs with guns!
Oceanhorn took inspiration from The Legend Of Zelda
That doesn’t mean they ripped it off. And honestly I think
It is a really fun game and they made a 2nd and it is MUCH

tbh I remember playing Oceanhorn when I was young, and I only realised it was a 'rip-off' when I also started playing the Legend of Zelda.

Everybody hates games like THIS!!!!
Here coz of a great recommendation from your acquaintance Ernie 😉
The Kid from 'Indie Game Battle' is definitely the player character from 'I Wanna Be The Guy'. Didn't really recognize anyone else.
I think the character named "Teslakid" is supposed to be the Protagonist of Teslagrad
Aw yea, I'm now playing Sonic Jam 6 and Sonic Adventure 7. Also, Kung Fu Mario 6.
And 7 Grand Dad
Yeah no that’s literally a ak 47
Ok whoa! I maybe recognized the characters you pointed out and maybe like 1 or 2 more (from games I've never interacted with). But that Indie Battle game has Crow from Nefarious!?!? Did they have the permission for that?
Another banger Infinite Bits video
My sisters had that leprechaun Mario knock off as a kid on their fire tablets since is was one of the few games available on it
Sentry Knight is from Sentry Knight Tactics, The Kid is probably from I Wanna Be The Guy, and Zee Tee is from Eversion. I am not sure about the rest.
Can you see that little guy there he is from a horror game
Good Job on 100k man. I only just realised
"virtually the same" *shows something that looks vaguely similar if not entirely different*

Tony and Bulby should totally have a crossover with the kid from the Zelda ripoff!
That would be awesome!
I love that "bulby" also copied the trees from super mario 3d world and just coloured them green. It even looks almost identical to one of the captain toad levels!
