When you realize that the "canon" of Smash is that they're all toys/trophies being played with and everything we see is their owner's imagination, most of these questions get their answers
There’s two reasons why Ridley is tall as any other character because one he’s slouching during a battle and he probably had to get shorter because he was too big because it was the reason why he wasn’t going to be in smash ultimate
More specifically during development of the prior games Sakurai decided that there were 2 essential criteria to properly representing Ridley as a fighter in Smash that he couldn't meet: His monstrous, intimidating stature and his unrestricted flight. While it could be argued that a reasonable compromise was made for incorporating Ridley's larger stature into Ultimate by giving him a taunt that has him stand up straight the unrestricted flight criteria was certainly abandoned for obvious reasons so it would seem that for Ultimate he changed his mind.
@@KHloreExpert Well said. It's worth noting that Smash Ridley is an amalgam of previous appearances, with a height ratio to Samus coming from Metroid NES, his coloration and features similar to Super Metroid, and the barbed tail from Other M. I think Sakurai did a great job for a first attempt, but Ridley's design could use some tweaks.
2:26 On that note, I believe it's pretty common knowledge at this point, but Gaur Plain is another stage named incorrectly. The stage is located on the Bionis' Leg, and Gaur Plain is an area of that leg that can be seen in the distance, so that means you are not fighting IN it, but in another location. It is believed that the stage is called this way because the music that plays in the Bionis' Leg is actually called Gaur Plain, so this is technically the first Smash stage to be named after a song and not a location.
For #16, the cross makes sense (if you use it properly, by having it go back to him) since it’s the same one being yeeted around. And for the one with Jigglypuff’s singing conundrum, there are tons of times in the base Pokémon series where a Pokémon can get hit by something that makes no sense. Like Pokémon which are *on fire* can get frozen.
Steve has a couple He can Place Blocks in Mid air (He can't do that in Minecraft) He gets dirt from Gerudo Valley (a stage covered in Sand), actually, you can go to multiple stages and find some mistakes here and there with this one The TNT is too Small, and the Magma Block is too Big
Steve can place mid air in bedrock, he can get dirt perhaps deeper in the ground (stretch but ok), and its Minecraft were talking about, you can theoretically change the objects sizes with different things.
4:20 Simple: Mewtwo is just using its psychic powers to make itself weigh less by using upwards force, therefore allowing it to conserve its physical energy.
One typo about Jigglypuff on the Kalos League Stage, On this stage you have a moment on it dragon type pokemons that Can shot dragon type attacks on the stage, despite being a fairy Type, Jigglypuff can get hurt by dragon attack despite being totally Immune to dragon type (pokemon Logic)
15 is pretty easy to explain. Basically, sephiroth teleports all fighters to an alternate dimension, where he destroys it as a mean to damage the ff7, or smash, cast.
I always thought Sephiroth’s final smash was a highly complex illusion, which would explain why his final smash is so garbage compared to how it looks. I think that all the fighters would just get a massive headache from it all
@@SenseiblueTheCatboy that's because it's an Illusion if it wasn't an Illusion then it would be OP the reason why I think it's useful is because if you get the Shield Break or sleep status effect you can KO your opponent with it
5:14 well in final fantasy dissadia, there was something about supernova being a transport to a new dimension that he destroys just to kill you. So he creates an infinite amount of dimensions and will destroy an entire solar system. Kinda badass. Safer Sephiroth is also what he ACTUALLY looks like Edit: well the disgusting bizzaro sephiroth is kinda the in between as well
I think it was mentioned in some sort of interview or somewhere that Supernova is only an illusion which is why it cannot kill in Final Fantasy 7 and also causes debuffs.
#15. To answer this, I have a very simple canon explanation for the final smash (Sephiroth Main here btw). Sephiroth has the ability to create illusions, so the final smash is most likely meant to be an illusion. This probably also explains the realtively low damage output from such a devastating looking final smash (33%, in a game were a good FS can deal over 60%). I do not mean to call the creator an idiot or any other derogatory terms. I only mean to enlighten some of the research I have made on the many characters in Smash Ultimate. Please enjoy this video and do not take it too literally. I do agree that Sephiroth's FS confused me for a bit too.

I think I can explain number 17, (the goldeen one) so basically in the first ever Pokémon episode in the ever first season, misty tries to fight team rocket with a goldeen and the goldfish just splashes around
3:07 I think why it actually makes sense so basicly they are being payed money and they fight for it it is a "Friendly" Competition that's why when they lose they clap
For the one with projectiles in space (#-1): The projectiles you showed being unaffected were all just light, which should obviously should not be affected. All others were not light and thereby affected
@@jayb8934 Yeah. OP is wrong about light not being affected by gravity but they're technically right in the sense that light is negligibly affected by a planet's gravity
10:00 I would actually predict that the Piranha Plant would beat Waluigi based on the picture. Waluigi has only appeared twice at that point (if I'm correct) so one of the most well known enemies from Nintendo's biggest franchise would definitely have bigger priority over some weird guy that only appeared in two Mario Tennis spin-offs.
15 is simple, since in the original game and even Remake, Sephiroth is known to mess with the cast, so it's an illusion to mess with your character. Even in the original, Other Moves Sephiroth can make do more damage than the supernova, so it isnt real. Hence the status affects.
The answer to most of all of these are simple. They're toys... The first game in the series on the N64 starts out with the characters being brought out of a toy box. Master Hand and Crazy Hand are literally the hands of humans playing with toys.
The real answer for the character sizes in smash dates back to the first smash game that all the characters are just toys made to be similar size and we use the toys to fight other toys
Some of these things make me mad. Like the simon and richter one, number 16. He asked why they can pull all of these things out of no where but, if he played a castlevania game he'd know there's an inventory system. It isn't smash who's coming up with it it's the creators of castlevania. It just makes me really mad because if he actually had these questions he could just look up half of these.
0:48 well that’s how it works in Pokémon, sing can put anyone to sleep (granted they don’t have an ability/effect preventing it) even to the same species as the user.

Okay, I can actually explain the Goldeen one. I think that's based on a running gag in the first few episodes of the pokemon anime where someone (usually Misty) sends out Goldeen on land and it can't do anything due to being a fish out of water.
(0:50) You make a good point about most stuff, but at least certain things like the move sing is for gameplay balance. Also a jigglypuff is a species, not an individual character.
(6:40) Olimar without the suit is as far as I can tell 3 cm tall. A Wii disc is 12 cm, so that is correct. But the picture provided seems to be wrong. In the picture, including the spacesuit's antenna, that's a third of the disc, and Olimar inside the suit is much smaller.
2:47 i guess you may not know the lore so here: the smash characters are actually toys being controlled by a little kid aka master hand and crazy hand so they fight each other against their will
The biggest offender of the inconsistent wall jump is Luigi... like WHY THE FREAK CAN'T LUIGI WALL JUMP? He wall jumps ALL THE TIME in the Mario games!!!
Number 11: Both Banjo and Duck Hunt are a single model, so the entirety of the duo gets powered up. Ice Climbers, however, are two separate models. Rosalina & Luma work differently. Since the Luma can't act independently from Rosalina, her size changes apply to it too.
they are fighting each others because in the first game they are toys being played with by a kid, and sometimes, kids can make weird scenarios like that
The reason why peters electric towns, don’t want her to miss because he’s actually doing part of it he doesn’t use the full move he just gets dizzy before before. He uses the whole move so that way he doesn’t hurt himself that’s how he doesn’t hurt himself.
Sephiroth's final smash makes no sense, because, he blows up the entire solar system, yet it's weaker than quite a few other cutscene final smashes, like getting hit by some noodle arms, getting punched in the face, and getting hit by a flaming sword once.
Just a few Koopa family ones: How come in Smash Bros, Lemmy, the famously short Koopaling, is roughly the same height as Iggy, who literally dwarfs nearly everyone else, including his older brothers? Why are the Koopalings even fighting Bowser Junior? Aren’t they technically his guardians/adopted siblings? Also, why are they fighting Bowser? He adopted them and they can just gang up on him without emotion or repercussions. Kinda ungrateful. Come to think of, why are they even fighting each other? Something about watching the Koopalings brutally kill each other for no reason is kinda unsettling. I know that sibling rivalry is a thing, but I didn’t know people like Ludwig or Lemmy had so much pent up rage towards their own family. How do their weapons even fit in the Clown Cars? Where do the buzz saws, hammers, boxing gloves or cannons even come from? Why do none of them have their wands? I mean, Roy and Morton, I could understand, but Ludwig and Iggy? Surely not all of them forgot or chose to leave their wands behind. Why are ANY of the Koopas fighting Peach? Isn’t Bowser’s whole thing that he loves her? And why would his kids beat up the one person who they know he loves? The Koopas can also be put on the same team as Mario and Luigi, but still fight Peach and their own family. What is going on? How can Junior or any of the Koopalings fall off screen when their Clown Cars can literally fly? Going back to that point, Ludwig shouldn’t be able to fall off screen at all, since he has both his Clown Car and his levitation/flutter jump powers. Iggy and Roy somehow do not lose their glasses despite being in the midst of fierce battle and frequently being upside down. If Bowser fights Bowser Junior or any of the Koopalings, he is committing child abuse, and yet everyone thinks this is fine. Why is Bowser so out of proportion to his kids in Smash than in the games? He canonically towers over most of them, and yet they all seem to be the height of teenagers and Bowser is only, like, twice their size rather than 3-4 times their size. Bowser can breathe fire, I get that. But, canonically, so can Junior and Ludwig. So…why don’t they? Why is Bowser the only Koopa who utilises the near-indestructible capabilities of his shell? Why do the kids even bring their Clown Cars? At least ones like Ludwig, Iggy, Lemmy and Roy are way more effective at fighting on foot. Probably why they don’t use their Clown Cars often, if at all, canonically.
The Goldeen thing makes perfect sense. It makes far less sense in Pokémon the game. I’ve always wondered why fish Pokémon were able to hold their own in out-of-water situations.
I remember that in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Pokémon Trainer could survive and move on many stages for some odd reason. Like in Delfino Plaza and Rumble Falls, where Pokémon Trainer automatically teleports offscreen, or in Summit, where the Trainer is at a slippery surface. In Brawl, Ice Climbers could also summon a huge iceberg moving around Delfino Plaza, while in that stage: Andross could shoot squares without even colliding with the background. Like seriously, what the heck XD I wish these nonsenses from Brawl were brought back in Ultimate. Granted, Iceberg still returns as a FS in Ultimate, but the problem is: it pauses the stage, unlike in Brawl.
There's actually a video I watched where Smash Ultimate characters are their actual sizes. That's a pretty good explanation of why. You can practically only see Kirby and Olimar with a microscope while Ridley covers the entire screen.
I used to think back in Melee that Goldeen was useless because they were not in water. I kept throwing Goldeen into areas of water like Great Bay in hopes that they would swim around and deal a strong attack with their horn, but alas, they just fall off the stage.
Answer to 1 of your questions: I do believe Sephiroth’s final smash is an illusion Also, Ridley is actually big, she\He’s just crouching a bit. In his down Taunt it shows us how big he REALLY is.
Little Mac has one of the best walljumps despite not being able to jump in his games Fox is faster than Wolf, but in their games, Wolf is faster than Fox
Entertaining video! -I think it doesn't make sense how Chrom and Lucina have different properties on their swords despite them having the same sword. -The whole "beating up children" thing with Toon Link and Ness....as well as peaceful characters like Isabelle -Robin can accurately run out of resources, but Simon can't, despite item management being a big part of Castlevania NES. -Olimar is missing a lot from Pikmin, from his deep voice to his caring attitude towards the Pikmin, whereas in Smash, he's a brutal warlord -Just Mr. Game and Watch. Everything about him. -Why is Dr. Mario not a costume for Mario? -It's fantastic that Sans and Cuphead got songs, but the Doom Slayer got robbed in that regard. -Heihachi would've been really cool, and Jin Kazama is more interesting than his father while still carrying the Devil Gene that Sakurai said was important for Kazuya.
3:05 since when where Mario and peach married. Also in smash 64 we see the characters as toys so we know it’s just a child’s imagination of the characters fighting.
Here are a few things that I don't get in smash bros: 1: How does air dodging work? I try to hit someone and then they air dodge which makes the sword go through the person. I can't even use the final smash when they air dodge. 2: How does Steve find his materials in some objects like metal. How would he find gold from a living thing? 3: How does Byleth's sword not reach high enough? I'm just about to die from going off the stage and his sword doesn't reach too far. I try that for the first time and his sword reaches the stage. What is up with that? 4: Where do people go when they die in smash bros? Do they just teleport onto the stage or does the responder thing just pick them up? These are the things I don'get in smash bros
Everything is explained by the fact smash bros is canonicaly someone playing with their toys.

0:28 the epic fight between Roy and bowser jr
4:40 I agree with most of these but I disagree with Meta Knight, Meta Knight could just shove the food from his mask hole or whatever and eat it
(0:50) You make a good point about most stuff, but at least certain things like the move sing is for gameplay balance. Also a jigglypuff is a species, not an individual character.
5:29 sephiroth’s Final smash is an illusion
Since the Luma can't act independently from Rosalina, her size changes apply to it too.
they are fighting each others because in the first game they are toys being played with by a kid, and sometimes, kids can make weird scenarios like that
10:32 maybe bowser jr told them how to do it
I honestly thought bowser junior duplicate his magic paintbrush
The reason why peters electric towns, don’t want her to miss because he’s actually doing part of it he doesn’t use the full move he just gets dizzy before before. He uses the whole move so that way he doesn’t hurt himself that’s how he doesn’t hurt himself.
Sephiroth's final smash makes no sense, because, he blows up the entire solar system, yet it's weaker than quite a few other cutscene final smashes, like getting hit by some noodle arms, getting punched in the face, and getting hit by a flaming sword once.
don't forget marth's critical hit, a normal sword swipe that can OHKO at 0%
@@heliodorable4612 true, I was thinking more roy or chrom, but, they all have similar one-shot final smashes.
Just a few Koopa family ones:
How come in Smash Bros, Lemmy, the famously short Koopaling, is roughly the same height as Iggy, who literally dwarfs nearly everyone else, including his older brothers?
Hers the answer:
Its a game.
Like seriously, what the heck XD
I wish these nonsenses from Brawl were brought back in Ultimate.
Great video! Looking forward to the 3D Sonic ranking!
The best way to start the weekend
i think the reason the charecters are fighting eachother even if they are friends is because friendly battle
Cloud and Septhiroth:
AKA for sport.
me hearing him say “why?” a million times ….. bb..bbecause it’s a video game.💀
4:12-According to smash bros wiki, Kirby is 60 pounds
I used to think back in Melee that Goldeen was useless because they were not in water. I kept throwing Goldeen into areas of water like Great Bay in hopes that they would swim around and deal a strong attack with their horn, but alas, they just fall off the stage.
Answer to 1 of your questions: I do believe Sephiroth’s final smash is an illusion Also, Ridley is actually big, she\He’s just crouching a bit. In his down Taunt it shows us how big he REALLY is.
Ridley is confirmed male
@@williamwolfxrivera2418 K
Supernova is confirmed real
@@ivrydice0954 Ok well in that case yeah… I have no idea.
4:45 Ayo! 😂 Whats that eating animation ROB? 🥴
He's having a good life💀
The piranha plant made it into smash after Waluigi it just became playable first
Little Mac has one of the best walljumps despite not being able to jump in his games
Fox is faster than Wolf, but in their games, Wolf is faster than Fox
This channel has came a long way since the AlphaBrad days :)
Entertaining video!
-I think it doesn't make sense how Chrom and Lucina have different properties on their swords despite them having the same sword.
-The whole "beating up children" thing with Toon Link and Ness....as well as peaceful characters like Isabelle
-Robin can accurately run out of resources, but Simon can't, despite item management being a big part of Castlevania NES.
-Olimar is missing a lot from Pikmin, from his deep voice to his caring attitude towards the Pikmin, whereas in Smash, he's a brutal warlord
-Just Mr.
6:21 its a fish on land
In the 3rd episode misty sends out goldeen on land and it just flops around
It doesnt even make sense since he's not taking it literally like he should.
1:32 I was expecting him to say pokeemon
7:32 I'm sorry, can we just point out how lucky this man is? 2/3 turnips were stitches??
2:54: they fight each other because i think they are hypnotized
It leads you to the backroom level 5:07
Fox doesn't drive it he pilots it #25
0:59 because that's how it works in pokemon.
It makes sense with pokemon but that series barely make sense at all.
@@arandomname3575 ok.
I always assumed from the first game that it's a kid playing with his Nintendo toys.
1:27 it's because bad water.
theyre probably just fighting for fun
because its a party game (allegedly)
3:05 since when where Mario and peach married. Also in smash 64 we see the characters as toys so we know it’s just a child’s imagination of the characters fighting.
0:17 can't believe light ain't affected by gravity smh 😔
0:18 because energy doesn't follow gravity
the thumbnail got me 💀
Here are a few things that I don't get in smash bros:
1: How does air dodging work? I try to hit someone and then they air dodge which makes the sword go through the person. I can't even use the final smash when they air dodge.
2: How does Steve find his materials in some objects like metal. How would he find gold from a living thing?
3: How does Byleth's sword not reach high enough? I'm just about to die from going off the stage and his sword doesn't reach too far. I try that for the first time and his sword reaches the stage. What is up with that?
4: Where do people go when they die in smash bros? Do they just teleport onto the stage or does the responder thing just pick them up?
These are the things I don'get in smash bros
Why on earth would you use male byleth? Everyone knows female byleth is the better character
@@connorosborne3545 Cause he lacks cringe leggings.
#15 Supernova is an illusion that sephiroth creates, just like in the original Final Fantasy VII
