All I wanted was a Pepsi.
All I wanted was a Pepsi.
Why don’t you give me a Pepsi?!
Just one Pepsi
"You'll drink coke like your mother and me or so help me I'll have you committed!"
Old man Muir.
He said, " doesn't matter, I'll probably get hit by a car anyway." Not trying to. Just wanted to clarify that :)
That's never the way I heard it. The quoted lyrics on the internet are from the "Still Cyco" version of the song. I think in the original it definitely sounds like "trying to."
Suicidal Tendencies have so many great songs.. nobody hears is an excellent one to listen to
I went through my teens with this band, I was one of those teens that just seemed to think differently than everybody else. Knowing that somebody else felt the same way because they thought differently helped a lot.
Still listen to them when sometimes when I'm in my brain is going nuts, seems to help help calm the craziness inside.
From Utah theme song
@@C.Noble13
lol me too.
What are you trying to say, I'm crazy?
When I went to your schools, I went to your churches,
I went to your institutional learning facilities?! So how can you say I'm crazy?
The lyrics on this are amazingly articulate considering what passed for lyrics in lots of music like this.
Yes lol. Like money talks cryptic slaughter. Incomprehensible lol. I fucking love cryptic tho
That part goes hard
Welcome back girl!
THANKS LOVE
This song takes me back... my big sister loved this song.
One of my favorite punk songs! I STILL known this song since 1987.
The original teen angst song. It's always reminds me of those parents that want to know everything their kids are doing or thinking.
they were a thing in the 60s and 70s
@@mike04574 They still are!
Teen angst is nonsense. This has a clear point
@@thammar1990just because it’s teen angst doesn’t mean it’s not valid
I started listening to them in the very beginning, I was 16 and totally related to this song and this band. Very shortly after I left home and lived in my van. Ended up in the city made lots of friends and lived my life. I'm 56 now and don't regret any of it but wish I did it sooner.
did what sooner...living in the van? :)
@michael aldan left home in my van. I was 16
You are so my new favorite reaction videos. This is one of my favorite songs and you actually took it seriously while listening. You are so great.
Man this brings me back to my younger years
My dad was a psychologist specializing in adolescence.
I was treated like a chemically dependent, mentally disturbed kid out on a day pass.
It sucked.
I am glad my sister got the dad he became after our growing pains. I played this song a lot.
Glad to see you again!! Keep em coming!!
THEY PUT ME IN AN INSTITUTION SAID IT WAS THE ONLY SOLUTION TO GET ME THE PROFESSIONAL HELP TO SAVE ME FROM THE ENEMY MYSELFFFF
what a comeback, India
Got that?
Love this reaction!
Girl, you're the best!!!
I TRY :(( THANK YOU!
@@OhMyGoshIndia oh, don't try, YOU ARE!!!
I Love This Song Reminds Me Of My Gutter Punk Phase
Can You React To The Sugarcubes Next Please
God, I wish I could go back in time and see them again, in a tiny little venue, like Chain Reaction.
man...this was my band when I was a skater.....didnt think anyone actually would make a reaction video to this haha
I loved that song so hard back in the day. Been a long time since I heard too.
love the variety on this channel. Very unpredictable taste in music. This song was huge in Los Angeles in the mid-80’s and I remember seeing the record for sale at Musicland in the Mall.
Totally
Crazy at it's best! Great reaction!
India Reacts, have you ever heard The Psychedelic Furs "India?" Not a request, just wondering if you know it.
NEVER HEARD OF THEM
@@OhMyGoshIndia, better songs are "Love My Way" and "Heaven," but Thought you might like your name in songs. Then again, I don't know if your name is India, yet!
@@OhMyGoshIndia anouther song with india in it would be Alanis Morrissette's thank you India, pretty good one if you havent heard it. ua-cam.com/video/OOgpT5rEKIU/v-deo.html
glad to see your song reacitons back
Gen-X anthem! 🔥🔥🔥
Great Song, Great Reaction, Great Woman... Peace!
Long time fave, thanks for this, esp. your sympathetic and compassionate take. D
my dad showed me this band and i’m IN LOVE
Hellz yes i saw them back in the day one of my favs
Been loving this hilarious song/video for 30+ years.........I never thought I'd see someone forcing themselves to sit through this video, completely BAFFLED by whatever-the-fuck-is-going-on!!! :D :D :D And just Not Getting It, at all! This is awesome.
Punk is awesome. Another band would be Social Distortion.
I love my girl India but I don't know if she's ready for Social Distortion.
@@dorothydunn3285 SD is table stakes. M.I.A., Agression, D.O.A., Descendants, Agent Orange, 7 Seconds...I could go on and on. :)
@@tomkingston1468 yeah I completely agree. Oh my God I just got such a thrill imagining her watching a descendants video, No All 😉
i used to skateboard to this song when i was a kid!!! Loved it then and love it now!!!
“You can’t bring me down” by suicidal tendencies
Thanks for doing this song.
Waiting for someone to do this.
Plain wrap on the shelves. Perfection.
Don't know how I missed this one.... One of my all time favorite bands....Check out "You Can't Bring Me Down"
Or Gotta Kill Captain Stupid
How will I laugh tomorrow, trip at the brain, go'n break down, nobody hears, send me your money all great
My teenage years just came back through this song.
About to see this band in honolulu this saturday , february tenth at a club called the republic.
How can you say I'm crazy?!? After went to YOUR SCHOOLS! YOUR CHURCHES! YOR INSTITUTIONAL LEARNING FACILITIES!!! One of the most truest things ever said, This came out in the 80's and it's sad but true this applies in 2022!!
❤ UT
The original album version said it doesn't matter the insurance money is about to run out anyway. And in this version he said it doesn't matter I'll probably get hit by a car anyway.
This is the original version from their first album in 1983. The "insurance money" line is from the end of the re-recorded version they released 10 years later in 1993 on Still Cyco After All These Years. A much more metal version that re-recorded all the songs off the original album plus a couple from the second album. Apparently the original released on Frontier Records back in the day was out of print for years (I had no problem buying the tape in the early 90's), so they re-recorded and released them all on their current label. Just to show ho on top of things the Grammy's are, they nominated the re-recorded version of this song for a Grammy 10 years too late.
Old school skater music! Love it!
I’m just returning to this channel. Sorry I missed this the first time around. It’s one of my favorites. Gotta love Jack Nance and Mary Woronov as the parents in the video.
your rockin the sweater your extra beautiful in orange
This is a great song. Your interpretation is interesting
Missed you
Suicidal Tendencies was mostly fast music. One of their slower ones, and a great one, was "I wasn't meant to feel this asleep at the wheel".
The only reason I listened to that all the way through is because you did. I'm a fan of you.
Try, How will I laugh? Suicidal Tendencies
You should hear Monopoly On Sorrow by Suicidal Tendencies. By far, my favorite song by them and absurdity badass live in concert!
I really dig the harmonies on this track.
Hollywood used to listen to the original studio album virgin and then this video version came out on MTV it was that little bit different sound and just a little bit different lyrics but it was excellent. I think this is about 85 or 86
OMG! I I haven't heard this song in years! Where are my Doctor Martens??
Doctor Martins???
Doctor Martens, - also known as Doc Martens - are the boots the punk rockers like to wear.
And definitely don't forget the tie dye!
And now you have to react to Ice T's Bodycount version of this song, where he updated the lyrics. His version isn't about Teen angst and misunderstanding parents but rather about people in their forties dealing with modern day annoyances, such as not getting your inlog code from a guy in India or being hassled by a Vegan when you're trying to eat a pulled pork sandwich.
Oh shit. I loved them.
its 2021 and he probably still hasn't gotten that Pepsi yet
Some parents were like this with their kids in the 80s because I graduate in 86 and they were just over the top.
They stick me in an institution said it was the only solution for me to get the needed professional help to save me from the enemy myself
Find the lyrics online, powerful piece actually...
Sorry I'm leaving so many comments but body count with Ice-T covered this and it is hilarious excellent! So look up body count institutionalized
Other great songs by them Lovely, How will I laugh tomorrow..., You Can't Bring Me Down
From the movie "Repo Man"
Back to the Future 2 referenced this song here: ua-cam.com/video/11BwLs3pHF4/v-deo.html Cypress Hill also sampled it in How I can just Kill a Man
That background guitar though...
One of my favorites from the Repo Man soundtrack.
This song would make anyone crazy😛
So Many great S.T. songs, "Send Me Your money", "War Inside My head", "You Cant Bring Me Down", "Suicidal Failure", "Nobody Hears".....
This is from my high school days❤️❤️❤️
Frank Wilson "Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)
New age version is by Ice T's band Body Count.
I loved this as a teenager
Listen to "pledge your alegence"
You should listen to the band
Infectious Grooves.
The bassist from ST plays in Metallica. Robert Trujillo. ST is one of the best bands from the 90s. Freedumb is an incredible album
They came out mid-80s
Rob Trujillo wasn't in ST until the `90's. On this song it's Louiche Mayorga.
Look up Heaven. By FAR Suicidal Tendencies best song ever.
You should check out Infectious Grooves - I’m gonna be my king
UTAH theme song of non moes.
gotta react to Body Count's version of this
You gots listen to Body Count (Ice T's metal band) re working of this song. It is just as good.
You look stunning in that color.
My first tattoo 1988. 🤟🏻
Where have you been
All he wants is a Pepsi
React to Abel Pintos: El Adivino / live in River Plate. PLEASEEEEEE!!!!
They do have one that came out in the 2000s that was called nobody hears you can see how the main guy saying got buffed up in his later years.
It’s weird how Mike changes in the 80s,
in 1981 Mike Muir looked like a skinny skater/surfer beach bum kid, then in Live at Rollerworks 1983 he looks like some big football jock then he looks a little skinnier in the Institutionalized video then he changes from big to small and then towards the end of the 80s(87-88) he’s more slim and athletic with muscles then he gets fat in 1989
I first time I heard it the group they were getting there records were being burned by a Jim baker telling
that was an actress if im not wrong whats her name
.. jus giveTHAT MAN A Pepsi!
Original skate anthem
You are so beautiful ❤️😊
Check out Body Count's cover of this.
4:47 that was how punk shows could get
I have an older brother who saw them in 1984 who used to surf and skate and was into Punk Rock and said you truly had too be into it because if you couldn't hang, you could get beefed (your ass kicked really bad)
Times are different now though.
React to: "manías" - Thalia ❤
Great band with a long discography. Next song: Lovely
This is a hymn, girl. You may not understand because youre too young hahah. I first listened to this song 30 years ago, I guess, in 1991, when I was 7 to 8 years old.
Los 90' babys
PEPSI!
All i want is a pepsi!!!
All i want is a pepsi
Suicidal tendencies has much better songs than this noise
