Too bad we couldn't have connected sooner, I worked as a sales rep and installer for Nudura ICF forms. I have worked on well over 300 Nudura projects. It is a great product, excellent choice! -Dusty
The "twisty thingy" tool we called a "pig tail" in the 70's. I think a lot call it a "tie twister" these days because the little wires with eyes on each end are called wire ties. Wish they would have had these ICF back when I was working in construction. Tip: when you hook the pig tail into the tie, pull back toward yourself and hold a little pressure as you twist it. The pig tail stays engaged better that way.
You're so happy to have each other to help out. I just love watching everything you do on the homestead. And as I keep saying I will come to Alaska one day. I must see for my own self the beauty of your state.
The vertical black ribs are for strength, hold the rebar, AND they are also your wall 'studs'. You screw the interior wood wall to that. It is also very useful to screw wood braces on to prevent a blowout or bulging. The inventor was indeed a genius.
My dad used to work in construction and did a lot of steel work that twisty tool you were demonstrating on tying the rebar together he called a Pig tail.
Hello from Eagle River, AK!!! What a super cool project and for taking us along with you. It will be great and it is great to hear about the work you do with the Veterans. Thanks for sharing a great adventure :)

I really hope that guy didn’t didn’t take all summer to put the nadura together and charge him. We can set up and pour a 8foot Nudura in 3 days with 3 guys and Nudura has there own staging so you don’t have to waste wood it screws right to it with turnbuckles to straighten the walls.
Hey Eivan, the land looks beautiful, well done🎉.
You guys are killin it 😍!

House is looking great. OH MY, could not work with her everyday. You can tell he has been sufficiently beat down from his time dealing with her.

Legos!!! 😊
I would be worried more about vermin on the electrical cable. I think you should’ve put it in pipe.
Did you put down caution tape above the pipe you put in the ground?
we had some orange caps for that.
