- In this video we build a pavilion over the outdoor kitchen ! Complete with a smoke hood 3 chimneys to ventilate the building , solar power ,lights and ceiling fans , a wood floor with pavers close to the grill for catching any coals that fall ,and plenty of counter space . Finally I can cook in the rain and won't have to tarp the grill in the winter !
Whipples are worth waiting for. Enjoyed watching. Love listening to you's guys talk. Very soothing. Saw you over there helping with Belle's Cafe. All in the family. I love how you all support one another.
Thank you !! yeah she's really made a nice little coffee shop , and everything tastes too good !!
They are, aren't they?! Truly enjoy following Mick and Belle now. Wonder when we will get to see a family video? 😊
Hey, that is one beautiful, fancy and well built, outdoor kitchen. ❤ You've done an excellent job and it will last a lifetime. 👏 There's even room for company. 😉
I was watching a program several years ago on Link TV that they were cooking and baking on an outdoor oven, made the old fashioned way and I thought that's what you were up to. I'd like to have one of those someday. It's good to see you again. You and your brother do excellent work.
Because of you, I finished my pizza oven with a good foundation, thank you brother.
Awesome !!! glad I could help !
Well after almost 48 minutes of amazing work and perfect edits and I always learn tricks from you and dave. I really think this video is Exactly what UA-cam is all about. I know how much work it is to build something like this and ALSO have to move the camera angles every time you do anything. A 2 hour job turns into 3 4 with camera work. This video was amazing and so much work. I hope it hits 1 million views and well deserved!!!
Thank you !!! I hope it hits a million too !! and yeah filming sure slows everything down A LOT . Really happy you enjoyed it !
Words of wisdom. "Stop overthinking and trying to be cheap. Just go for it."
sometimes its the best choice of action , thanks !!!
Absolutely! It applies to me perfectly. 😔
This is the LIFE!
Just working on your own building stuff. Outside in nature. Not stuck in an office all day long!
👍
So nice! And cozy to cook in and enjoy. Love the design too. Thanks for letting us enjoy the build.
Sitting on the little balcony watching this vid on an iPad is so much better than sitting inside watching a movie on the 65”. Well done.
awesome !! glad you enjoyed it !
Always fun watching you conceive, plan, design and build your projects. I'm 74 years old and I still learn something everytime. Great build, love the hood. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks !! I'm pretty happy with that hood too . glad I didn't go with a barrel !
I usually can`t sit here and watch a video for more than about 5 or so minutes, but your video, had me sittin thru the whole 48 minutes! Amazing build you did! Love it!
Always enjoy watching the Whipple boys do their thing. Great work. Keep it up!
Thanks !!! will definitely try !
I’m an architectural drafter and I feel like I definitely learned some things from this video. I always try to consider how to make things buildable as I don’t have much construction experience myself.
Working smarter not harder 👍🏻 Fantastic job!!! Might be the best outdoor kitchen I've ever seen. 🐾🙏🏻✌🏻
I shoot for that goal , don't always hit it but do my best !! thank you I'm glad you liked it !!
@@blackspruce1861 our best is all we can do.
Agreed!!
It's a pleasure to watch you as you think about problem solving your projects and to see the finished product. Thanks Ryan!!
Let's get this man to 100K subs! This channel is excellent! I always learn something.
Took the words out of my mouth. 💯
Thank you !!! it's getting pretty close not even 2k left . thanks for the support !!
Thank you !!!
Dude is awesome!
Excellent content Brother. I always learn something when I watch your content.
The only thing better than this for me is if you would have built it at my house. Great video, you're blessed to have the skills to do this yourself.
I’m about to do this project at my home. Thank you for the tips on doing it yourself. I have a teenage son who will probably help for at least 15 minutes or so 😂 so those will come in handy.
LOL !!! glad to help
André Brazil here!
Im learning a lot wirh you man!
Thank you very much!
Man I loved your idea of pre-drilling all your roofing holes at one time. This was perfect timing for me because I'm about to build a cover for my tractor. Great video
Thanks !! I can't take credit for that I actually learned that when I helped my brother do a roof on his place in2003 but it does work really well. hope you have a great ti me building your tractor shed
Beautiful structure Ryan. Excellent job. Very nice lighting. Lots of room for cooking and lots of room for guests too. Best Regards.
Thank you !!!
All you need is walls and a bed and you could live in there!! WAY OVER BUILT! Just like l will do.... Great build guy👍
Thanks !! I guess I could . its actually for my little cabin here's a link to that build if you want to check it outua-cam.com/video/9p169VHPE9s/v-deo.html
I’ve found that packing gravel around the treated post make them last longer. I’ve had treated posts rot off within a year of sitting in dirt. 😳😏 Not the case when packing with gravel.
good tip
The Whipple Brothers have my favorite outdoor construction channels
Everything is real simple to follow nothing feels out of reach
Good music very soothing voice overs all around great videos
Thats awesome thanks !!!
You can also add a seating area and a dining table, I'm looking forward to it.
@@galatasarayzzers me too . I ‘ve been keeping an eye out for the right used patio stuff but might just build a table
@@blackspruce1861 ❤️
You do such a nice job with everything you have built. That's a great spot for family get togethers.
Thanks !! I'm really looking forward to it !
The perfect get together spot, absolutely beautiful! Hello to the Mrs. and the pooches!
Relly enjoyed watching you built that. Thanks for sharing
awesome !!! happy to !
Aside from an awesome pavilion your music choice for the video was awesome.
Thanks !! I keep trying to find a new track or 2 every video to make them sound a bit different . I'm pretty picky on that so glad you liked it!
Beautiful!! You're truly gifted!! 👍🙏
Thank you !! I'm glad you enjoyed it !!
Great job Ryan l like how you started out putting the trusses on the structure first upside down. Common sense and skill goes a long ways my friend...it turned out looking really nice my friend.. there's nothing like hearing the rain hitting the metal roof while having a cookout!!👍
Thanks !! yeah I love that rain on a tin roof sound , and it's going to be great to be able to cook on it while raining now
Wow Ryan, that is quite a "level up"! Looks beautiful ❤.
Thanks !! I'm really happy with it !
I remember watching you're original outdoor kitchen video! love it man looks great :-)
Thanks !!
you did a fabulous job .always like watching you do your projects ,everythings well thought out .
Thank you !!
That is some nice work. About the only change I would make would be to char all the wood in ground/ concrete contact to keep the rot, moisture and termites out. You used pressure treated in sandy ground so that will last you as long as you could wish.
Thanks!!!
Another great project well-done, Ryan :) And the four footed helpers are always welcome during breaks! (And Brothers can always lighten the load :) Good to see you both ... enjoyed watching this build. See you down the road ... God Bless you and yours
P.S. Another pro tip from the Whipple Crew ... pre-drill the steel roof panels before installing them. Thanks!
Thanks !! it's always nice to work together with my brother , good time you as well have a good one !
The outdoor kitchen sure does look pretty. Fantatic job, sir!
Thank you !!
That’s a solid build man! It will be around 200 years after we’re all gone . 💪💪👍👏🙌🤘😁
Thanks !! that would be pretty cool !
If I had an outdoor kitchen that nice I'd have an excuse for putting on a few pounds. Always nice to have Dave show up, he needs one of these in the UP.. maybe add some screens for his. I think your water ideas are solid, keep it simple outside. Too many things that can freeze/crack over the winter.
I told him the same thing , he should do one and screen it in
Love your outdoor kitchen !!! Great design. Love to watch you build !!!
Thanks !!
Beautiful outdoor kitchen good job.
thank you !!
You do great work, well thought out and executed. I wish I was your neighbor and could help you with your well.
Thanks !! I'm still debating on the well
@@blackspruce1861 check with your neighbors and find out how deep their wells are. We'll drilling is about $6 a foot in Florida.
Love the alternations of the sheet metal and clear sheeting on the roof!
Thanks !! it's really nice to have a bit more light inside and be able to see the trees and sky above !
YES! I absolutely enjoy all of your videos! Your pavilion looks AWESOME! What a great place to relax and spend time with family and friends. 👍
awesome !! thanks I'm looking forward to some get togethers
great video, i agree always worth the wait! always learn a lot watching you and dave
Thanks glad you don't mind the wait cause I've been pretty slow this year lol
This is an outstanding build. You are truly a master craftsman!!
Thank you !!
With Supervisors like that, it would take me twice as long to finish the project. but worth it !!
They're not production oriented no !! but they're great company
Amazing knowledge and skills. I can't drive a nail without bending the hell out of it.
Thanks !!
Thanks, Ryan. We really enjoyed learning some new tricks. The hood over the grill is a great idea. Your doggo's , as always, are ready to help. You're a great team.
glad you liked it !!! they're always happy to help with the food testing lol . Thanks again !!
Beautiful - You do such great projects. Enjoyed watching very much. Thank you.
Thank you !! I'm happy you enjoyed it !!
I enjoyed watching your video very much. Loved your skills, your patience in doing everything by yourself, your determination; the way you took your time to film all the details of the work being done, and the final product itself. Everything came together so beautifully.
Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us out here as I learned quite a bit from you
I now have to "stop overthinking" and start doing a bit more.
Thank you, sir!
Thank you !!! thats awesome , really happy you enjoyed it . some times its the best action , you're very welcome and thank you for checking it out !
Very nice. I like your skylights!
Thank you !!
Awesome job! Lots of good family times will be spent out there.
Thanks !! I'm really looking forward to those days !
Awesome build. It's so relaxing watching your videos
Thanks !! thats awesome
Fantastic build! Very inspirational. Thanks for bringing us along!
Love watching your awesome work. The outdoor kitchen looks fantastic. So did the mushrooms.
@@charleshutchings9355 thanks !! They were almost makes me want next spot hurry up
Great job, you should be very proud of what you accomplished 👏👏👏👌
Hey Wayne ! thanks I'm real happy with it , you'll have to come up for a cook out sometime
hell I'll even let you do the cooking lol
@@blackspruce1861 l would love to come and visit you and have a cook up but that’s a little difficult for me as I’m from the south on the east coast of Australia. Thanks for the invite anyway
looks great! off-grid luxury! All the best!!
Thanks !! the fans are the real luxury , so nice
Only improvement to me would be to screen that thing in. Looks good.
That might happen at some point worst ones here are the gnats . they don't die but drive you insane!! thanks !!
Outstanding video. I’ve been wanting to build something like this at my cabin to use as a carport in the winter so I don’t need to keep the tractor under a tarp. I’ve had analysis paralysis trying to figure out how I’d build it alone. This video really helped me envision the best way.
Thanks !! thats awesome ,I'm glad it helped!
👌🏻Great beautiful work as always. Sara from South Africa🇿🇦
Thank you Sara!!
Excellent job on the pavilion Ryan! You're building skills and knowledge is top notch. It will be really nice in the snowy and rainy weather. Todd from da U.P.
Beside the enjoyment of watching the build and admiring the architecture, my mind wandered to the fact that it wouldn't be difficult to enclose the kitchen and have an additional cabin, if the need arose.
Glad you liked it ! you know I never even thought of that but it would be pretty easy to do
I remember seeing the video when you first built that grill out there, I was like what the hell! it's in the bushes but i get it now. Super nice job i see you are very patient, my drawback on building things!
Now you can use it year round
Nice work 👍🏼
Thanks !! I have been using it year round but not tapping it for winter will be great !!
First video ever watched, but it wont be my last! Fantastic job!
awesome thanks !!! I'll see you on he next one !
Great build. I love the finished result. You have a great combination of straightforward, practical, and aesthetically pleasing. And you didn't even recommend we give the chainsaw a whirl. :)
Thanks !! I think thats kinda my specialty simple ,practical , yet nice looking . I don't know that I would recommend that saw . I like it a lot more than I did at first but there's definitely more powerful saws in the battery world than this one . I do like that its quiet though
That was really awesome! I saved that to my play list cause I'd lie to do something similar. Great work!
Awesome glad you liked it !!!
One of the most enjoyable videos I've come across lately on UA-cam - LOVE THIS !! Inspired to build something like this on my property based on this vid - keep up the great work and awesome builds !!!
I would love to see it screened in… Great workmanship!
A man of many talents! thanks for the inspiration
Thank you !!!
Superb build and craftsmanship! Sometimes only you know how you want it to turn out, but also changes 100 times the way you visioned it from start to finish.
Wow! Nice build! Thanks for sharing. 👌👍
Very cool project and so nicely done again!
Thank you !!
Very impressive for a 1 man show, Looks really good
Thanks!!
I learned so much in this video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Thats awesome , glad you liked it !!
The cabin is looking bloody good. Enjoyed the video 👍👍👍
😮 woww... Thank you for showing us this perfect work of professional architecture, congratulations!
Thanks !! happy you enjoyed !!!
Looks Really Cool, I can't wait for you to come and build mine, lol.
Thanks !!! it's gonna cost you lol
@@blackspruce1861 Oh I figure as much.
Nice job, Sir! 🙂
You can't beat a good outdoor kitchen
What an awesome build! TY!
Thanks !! happy you liked it !
Off grid done right!
Thanks !!
Ryan,
Love the detail in your videos. Little tricks to make the job easier! Really enjoyed this video. Have a great day Brother!
Thanks !!! I'm really happy to hear that . when I'm editing I stare at it so long I start to wonder if I even like it lol . You have a great day too!
Fantastic journey you brought us along for.
My first time watching your content and I really enjoyed seeing how you went about dealing with the different aspects of the task.
The end result looks amazing.
Peace.
Love it. I will build one outdoor grill/oven. We call it a Dirty Kitchen in the Philippines.
Our method here is to build foundations on stone slabs and make sure the logs are above the ground. At least in rural areas where concrete is not common back then. The reason is to avoid the wood logs getting soaked wet during rainy days (we have rains all year round).
Man, that thing is awesome !!! What a great video !!!
We are in the process of tearing down a small outdoor kitchen.
I have got a whole different plan in my head now.
I hope that you don't mind me incorporating some of your ideas in my build.
Thanks
Excellent project, wonderfully done! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it !!
Whipple magic..well done.
Thank you !!!
Excellent job on that build. Looks fantastic. You’re going to get a lifetime of use out of that.
Thanks !! I hope too
The ol' Black Spruce needed some 'Radical' assistance with this build, eh? LOL-good to see brothers help each other on big projects. You guys do great work.
LOL ! yeah it's nice to have some help no and then , Thanks !!
Great build . Can’t believe you did this all by yourself. You need some friends . 💪💪💪👍👏
Thanks !! my brother helped set the trusses . for the most part I like to build by myself though it lets me go at what ever pace I feel like that day .
That's awesome! You did a great job and your attention to structural detail really kicked it up!!
This is so nice! We live outside so what a perfect addition to any homestead! Great job! Great skills! Good video! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful a small shelter in the jungle
Thanks !!
Thats some good livin right there!!!
Thanks !!!
Most excellent build. Totally awesome tips and tricks for doing this by yourself. Thanks again for an excellent video. Jim in Oregon
If you paint the underside of the metal roof sky blue you won't get spiders or flying insects nesting in your roof. Optical illusion.
Thanks Jim !!!
What an amazing build 😮❤
thanks !!
Good job Ryan. Being gone a bit, but still here, Paul from down under. 😊
Thanks Paul !!
Those are some nice hammers... Thank you for the inspiration of your build. Looks awesome!
yeah I really like that battery nailer , thanks !!!
Yep doing Anything Right means it will be more time consuming AND more expensive. Respect to " Mr Spruce" for demonstrating that and his determination to DOING IT RIGHT! I have a friend who made a very good living building decks, docks over water, pavilions etc and he was initially the most expensive service in the area but always right or if not right he'd fix any mistake at no additional charge. Within a few months of starting his business he became THE Contractor for this kind of work and he lead that community till he retired, still the highest $$$$$ but Definitely the BEST> A lesson many contractors will probably Never Learn.
Awesome 👏 you’ll enjoy it for years to come.😊 As usual I enjoyed your vid, thank you
Thanks !!! glad you liked it !
