I had this watch for roughly 6 months. It oozes quality. Everything feels solid and that’s coming from a Rolex oyster perpetual that costs 10x more. I seriously can’t say enough about the quality of this watch. I will say that I did sell it about a month back but that’s only to buy the 904L premium model. I didn’t think the ocean 39 could get any better, but i was yet again blown away. Nothing in this price range or even well above comes even close and I’ve had my fair share of watches.
If you're going to go with a homage, this is the way to do it. A large part of the 15 grand watch experience for a tenth of the investment. And, I do love a friction clasp!
The bad thing is if they release it, they let the same movement without moding it, and it have ghost date position. If they make real no date dial with no date movement then yes i would want that also.
@@Visitor555 does it really bother you that bad.. i think this ghost no ghost position is a thing that gets in your head trough the reviews you hear. Its one more click..
@@roybrolsbeak If it cost 50$ it will not bother me. But if we talking about watches costing 420-500 Euro then it shouldn't be like this. Its like something with spare parts that was made like frankenstein. If it has no date on dial should not have movement with date.
Great choice! There's just something special about Steinharts. The Ocean 39 GMT Premium 500 is right up there with the SARB033 as the favourite watches in my collection. I'm sure you'll love yours too.
What's your wrist size? I have 17cm. Last year I got a Steinhart Ocean blue 39mm. Stunning watch! But I would like it a bit larger size, it looks small for my taste. I would like a Pepsi 42mm version but still am unsure about if the 50mm lug to lug with such straight lugs will be good or not.
@@patricj951 Hi, Wrist size 18 cm. I find it to be a good size. I prefer watches that are a bit smaller. 36-38 mm is what feels best. But i have also a G-shock and that one is huge, but it works fine. Best Regards Mats
I have an Ocean blue 39mm. And I can confirm other's statement of the quality of Steinhart. It's a stunning watch with excellent finish. It definitely rivals Tissot and Certina in same price range, yes I think higher pricerange. Do you want a Rolex homage of very close to Rolex quality for ~1/15 of the price; get a Steinhart.
@@WatcheswithGeorge old is not 5 years! My Rolex submariner is 2003 I have it serviced every 8 years never let a drop of water in. The watch repair guy has fixed it he said the gasket was poor quality
Hey man. How are things? I still have the watch and actually bought a second one :)) ocean 39 Pepsi GMT with and aluminum insert. I'm really sorry for the delay but I will do SOTC and also a review of both. Thanks again for the comment and support.
Hey there. Thanks for the comment and support. We have to be realistic here because the lights of Tudor and Rolex have mastered the design and they have the history, does Steinhart? ...No.. but they have quality and they take it serious. In my opinion.. totally worth it.
Hey there. Thanks for the comment and support. Fortunately I didn't need to go through the warranty in anyway because I haven't had any issues with mine yet, but I have a friend that went back and forth with them on a faulty bezel but eventually got it sorted. Thanks again
A man with calluses all over deserves to enjoy a nice watch or two.
:))))))) damn right man. Thanks for comment and support.
I have one of these and is certainly the closest I’ll get to a sub for a while but I’m really content with the quality and price.
What’s a bit of a bummer is that the dial is matte ( as it looks? ) would be awesome with that „glossy“ look
I have the steinheart 39 ocean and a omega sea master and the steinheart wears and looks just as well as the omega 👌
Mine's still going strong after5 years. And still as accurate as watches costing many times more.
Hey there. I think it's just incredible value.
What is the +-sec/day after 5 years?

Welllllllll, if you're going to go all the way with a homage, it would be a Tudor Black Bay Heritage or 58. Just saying.
@chrish5503 sure, but we talking here almost 5k € vs less than 500€
I spent 2k on a longines diver, sent it back and bought a steinhart. You cannot beat the price for what you get in a steinhart.
I'm getting the new ocean 39 904 premium. Top of the line to cherish it for life.😍
For life. A fucking Steinhart. You need to get out more often.
Would love to see Steinhart release a no date version of this.
this 100%

I've had 2 somehow something was off. Just a feeling. but u can't fault the quality
Have they changed the dial it doesn’t look matte no more like on most other videos . This one looks inky black ? Lovely watch
Glad im not the only one. Thats whats preventing me on buying one lol
