I have to use sun sleeves on my arms. I’ve had a lot of sun damage as a kid: too much surfing and we only had Sea & Ski lotion (60s & 70s).
I wear a wetsuit or rash guard when I play in the surf. I use Hawaiian Tropic for the same reason you do: it’s intoxicating. But I limit my time in the water for an hour+ then reapply. I’ll look into the zinc products as I cycle long distances. Utah sun is brutal, very dry. Thanks for the tips. Oh, I do run in the 50 HT on my “monks cap” I’m developing. My dermatologist checks me & burns me every 18 months. She says I’m doing better

Too funny... I've tried the zinc-based sunscreens, some of which you have, to "go natural" and they make me look dead for hours. 😛 I seem to default to the Banana Boat Sport-type of sunscreens, for better or worse, as they don't stay greasy. Oh, and I've been thinking about getting a new aero helmet 'cause I'm starting to develop a "solar panel" and most aero road helmets don't have vents on top. 😞
