The CPU and GPU temperatures are almost perfect. However, the chipset chip located close to the GPU gets too hot, causing the case fan to become super loud under heavy load. I think I’m going to add a small heatsink to the chipset chip and see how it improves. If you want to try it, be aware of this problem. However, this setup is suitable for a Home Theater PC (HTPC) for those who need a small, sleek, and powerful system that supports 4K or 8K TV.
Yes that's what I'm using mine for a htpc. Yes. Let me know how u go with the chipset heatsink. I also saw someone 3d print a mini fan inside their case to go under the network card. Its on thingiverse. It also had a shroud. Not sure if it will fit with the gpu as well. Might have to mod it. Have u seen it? I can't seem to post the website here.

@@itggearthis GPU position blows air into the heatsink and from there going hot into the case, would venting the side panels like you did for the top help with this? Prob with CPU temp as well since the blower is pulling hot within the case too.
@@A.A6r3u The MSI RTX 3050 LP 6G does not blow air into the case at all. The heatsink fins are straight, and the airflow is directed outside the case from both the front and the back. As you can see in the Afterburner graph, the GPU and CPU temperatures are not a concern.

@ITG Gear im supprised to see that not even the m920q has the second m2 connector i have a m720q 10t7 with a i5 9400t which im thinking of adding a gpu to tho the plan was a modded sparkle arc a380 or a a310. but i must say i like the idea of printing another shell for it so i might go for the 3050 if i can find a good price for it and later upgrade cpu to a i7 9700t or i9 9900t.also if you dont already know it you can unlock advanced bios settings and disable the max 35w cpu tdp so you can run non t cpus tho the extra heat would most likly be an issue in these smaller cases but with a good a compact thermal siphon system it should be possible i think tho not cheap. great video thanks for the idea cheers!
its me again, modify the case to have ventilkation to fix the issue with airflow with the modified gpu size edit: btw you can somehow use the extra space for a slightly taller cpu cooler for better temps
The CPU cooler uses three mounting screw holes, so a standard CPU cooler cannot be installed on this PC. The big issue when installing the GPU while using the 3D printed case is not the GPU or CPU temperature, but the VRM temperature and the motherboard's power delivery capability, which causes the CPU to throttle all the time. If you plan to install it on this tiny PC, it won't work. The RTX 4060 is 115W and requires a 1x 8-pin PCIe cable. The Lenovo Tiny PC motherboard cannot supply enough power for that GPU and CPU, and it will cause unexpected shutdowns under load. Thank you.

I think it should work if you use a 35W CPU like the i7-8700T. If you use a non-T CPU, the PC should not work because this series only supports a 50W GPU when paired with a 35W CPU. Thank you. However, in this setup, I bought the whole tiny PC for just $120. Building an ITX gaming PC costs around $1000 or so. So, this video is about renovating an old PC to make it usable again, helping to save the world from being polluted by e-waste.
Interesting. I’ve checked my 230W power adapter, and I noticed that it is about 20mm longer than the PC, which is 200mm long compared to the 180mm depth of the PC. I’m not sure if smaller watt AC adapters like 135W or 180W could be smaller than this. I was thinking of putting the PC into a mini ITX case like the A1P or SKT A9, but I’m struggling with the fact that I still need to put the power plug tip outside the PC case and plug it into the PC’s DC input. Maybe we could solder the wires directly to the board, but I don’t have the skills to do so.
Do u have the lenovo hdd flex cable? I wonder if it will be long enough to somehow mount a 2.5hdd above the cpu space. That way u can maximise storage and space inside the unit. 2tb drives are pretty cheap.
It is Creality CR-10S Pro V2 supports a print size of 300mm x 300mm x 400mm. Its maximum speed is 180mm/s. However, the print speed in this video is 50mm/s.
I would like to require some help! I have a m90q gen1 i would like to add an asrock ARC A380 6gb LP to it, however i have to remove an extra serial port and an extra display port from it in order to fix the videocard in it.. Also, i cannot find and front and lid model files for my particular model or does these work with all? thanks in advance.
My 3D files do not fit the Lenovo M90q. As you can see, the Lenovo M920q USB port and power button are located on the left side, while the M90q has them on the right side. Thank you.
I think it can work. However, be aware that the durability of 3D printed material is relatively weak. It would be more practical to use an ITX case like the A1P or SKTC A9, which support a flex PSU and a full-height GPU. These cases are nearly the same size as this PC, just a bit thicker. We could put this tiny PC and its power brick into one of those cases and design an I/O shield for it, or we could install a standard ITX motherboard. There are a lot of fun possibilities to explore.
It does not have any CPU temperature problems for me with this setup, so I did not try any other CPU coolers. Therefore, I cannot recommend anything to you. Thank you.

It won't fit with each other's design. Those files are designed for different purposes. The ThinhDora files are cleaner because they don't need too much ventilation, and they're smaller-only 54mm in height, designed for the RTX A2000. This makes them easier and faster to print. My file contains ventilation on all sides to work with an open-air GPU and is designed to work with the original GPU bracket. The case height is 65mm, which is 11mm thicker than the original to fit the MSI RTX 3050 LP 6GB, which is 42mm thick instead of the 36mm thickness of the RTX A2000. So, you cannot use a combination of these designed files.
In this video showcase, I use PLA+ filament for printing. I also share the 3D model files download link in the video description. For anyone interested in building it on their own, they can download the 3D model files and print in any material they want. Thank you.

Love it. This will be a cheap affordable upgrade option for my m720q. Currently have a T1000 gpu in it. The lp 3050 will be a nice upgrade.

GPU doesnt need an external power supply? Power only comes from Lenovo?
All RTX 3050 6GB models have a TDP of 70W and do not require an extra PCIe power cable.

Can you try with rtx4060 low profile? Does it bottleneck?
Motherboard is designed for 135W, so it cannot support an RTX 4060.
It would be even better if you could integrate the power brick since there is a lot of space above CPU

The PCIe slot on this motherboard is not a standard PCIe slot, as you can see from its different shape. It is designed to work with its riser kit.

The case height is 65mm, which is 11mm thicker than the original to fit the MSI RTX 3050 LP 6GB, which is 42mm thick instead of the 36mm thickness of the RTX A2000. So, you cannot use a combination of these designed files.
