As always you have a really good content, i admire your work sir, i'm inspired to build one just like this but i guess i will have a hard time building the connection for cpu fan (argb) and lcd screen.

very hard-work project and nice video, you improved voice in in your video a lot, keep going
Thanks so much for the idea with the CPU fan! I have a similar setup in P330 Tiny and CPU fan noise drives me crazy. I also couldn't find the adapter for the stock fan, so I'll go route with cutting. As an idea: you could try removing the GPU fans and install a single 180x25 fan to cool both CPU and GPU simultaneously.
I wonder if moving the new CPU fan more to the middle and using a duct to exhaust the hot air out the back as designed would also work? I'm more familiar with the 6th-9th gen CPU version of these Lenovo, but those have an optional 65w copper heatsink that also cools the VRM. 8:40 240W should be plenty btw. I run a 12500T and a 4060 in a Chinese JW H610 PIO motherboard and it's been flawless doing VR. Thanks for the great ideas and the design work. I want to print it without the LCD screen and possibly have a custom riser made so I can fit an 'ITX' GPU inside instead of a low profile because that expands the options a lot.
The GPU takes up 16mm of space inside the PC body. This means if you want to install an ITX GPU with an extra PCIe riser, you might need to move the GPU location outside the case completely. You will need to add an extra 40mm or 50mm to accommodate your GPU, making the PC thickness 80mm. If you want to do this, my 3D file will not fit, so we need to design a new one and take exact measurements with the components you want to use. Thank you.
if i'm not wrong, hardware heven and wolfgang's channel already did that using m.2 sata controller with 5-6 sata port on dell optiplex micro or hp elitedesk
Awesome build! Have all the parts except the MSi LP 3050, awaiting Amazon shipment. The model you show is the M920x not the M920q which has only one usable SSD slot. Please post the case print file ASAP as I have to send it out for quotes from local PETG printers!.
In this video, I use the Lenovo M90q, which is different from the Lenovo M920q/M920x. I've just updated the 3D files link in the video description. If you would like to check the 3D case for the Lenovo M920q/x, please see my Lenovo M920q video for the 3D case link. Thank you!
I'm surprised you have a 70W GPU it running stable in a Tiny 6. According from all i've read the Tiny6 PCIe slot can't handle >50W reliably and will by default throttle at all time. I do have the single slot yeston 3050, my Tiny 5 (920x) can't handle it and my m90q gen4 with 65w CPU at least needs another cover with more ventilation. It's sound profile is like a leaf blower anyways :/ Thinking about changing for a MS-01, but the minisforum firmware support is absolute trash and even worse for linux users. Thanks for this inspiration, very good video!
I read the datasheet for both models. The M920q's maximum AC adapter option is 135W, which does not support a 65W CPU or a GPU. Meanwhile, the M90q's maximum AC adapter option is 230W, designed to run the Intel Core i9-10900 with a PL2 of 224W, but it does not confirm GPU support. So, pairing a GPU with a 35W TDP CPU is possible as long as you can manage the temperature to prevent overheating. Thank you.
I've tried it already, but it doesn't have power. Maybe the pinout of the ARGB device is not aligned with the SATA power connector of the Lenovo M90q. To make it easier, just sleeve the cable with the USB cable that connects to the LCD screen. Also, if we can find an RGB fan that independently glows by itself, we can just connect it to the CPU fan cable, and it's almost done.
Currently, I am focused on creating UA-cam content and do not have plans to sell any products. Selling products requires the seller to be responsible for product quality and support. Additionally, selling products under a brand name like Lenovo requires permission and licensing to avoid legal and intellectual property issues, which is quite complex. Since I own my Lenovo PC, I can modify or make changes as I wish. However, selling modified products is a different matter. I hope you understand, and thank you for watching.
Quite a few, the m920q (m920x, m720q and P330 Tiny) are for 8th and 9th gen Intel CPUs. The cases look very similar, but the location of the cutouts and screw holes may not line up. A 3D printed case like this does not care about those differences so it may work fine. The holes it uses on the back seem to be the same. And there is a third screw on the side near the video card in the back. I missed it if this case fits.
@@itggear I get ya. To be honest you should use your real voice! More and more people are gonna use ai and everything is going to be soulless on internet otherwise.
Oh please, even for a 5V ARGB controller, I couldn't find any power source on the motherboard and ended up using USB power. So can you imagine where you would find the 8-pin PCIe power for the RTX 4060? Also, the motherboard can handle only 135W power for the whole system. If you install the RTX 4060, it will shut down under load.
I like what you do, but I would like you to modify some cheap Chinese mini PC like an N100 so that you can improve the cooling and change the case. me gusta lo que haces, pero me gustaría que hicieras una modificación de algun mini pc chino barato como de un N100 para que le mejores el enfriamiento y un cambio de carcasa.
This video is just an idea showcasing what the corresponding model shown in the video can do for its owner. I already had this PC, so I decided to mod it and didn't need to buy any other PC. If you don't have this PC yet, I'm not trying to convince you to buy this model and do the same mod as I did. You can choose whatever you want.
@itggear I appreciate your content. It's the exact kind of thing I would love to do if I had the time to sit down and learn modeling and hardware specs more thoroughly.

be so cool to find a company who could c and c that case shell out of metal for you, in black, be so cool and solid too for transporting it around.
SendCutSend laser cut and bend something. CNC metal for the top would be CRAZY expensive.

I need to do this!!! It looks amazing
The mods available for M720Q and the M920Q keep getting better. I think I might do the is in a green with a 90mm be quiet fan.

do you still use throttle stop?
No, not with this lenovo. Watch one of his earlier video he explains it
The Lenovo M90q does not throttle with the GPU installed. Thank you.

Can the cpu be changed from PCIe 3.0 to 4.0? Example i5 10500 to i5 11500.
idk i think you should change the motherboard too
