    Hello, Its me again. Ive recently seen a video from ETA Prime doing a mod with a 3050 from Yeston, it seemed to have good temps on another type of mini computer, so i wondered if that was able to be done with a Tiny6 like yours? Seemed like a good idea since the 3050 only draws power from the 16 lane PCI-e slot plus in total without taking into consideration heatsinks-3D covers and power brick the total cost of parts rounds the 450 to 500$

      As he mentioned in his video, he will post another video about the Yeston RTX 3050 LP with an older Intel CPU system, like the Lenovo M90q. I think he will post that video soon, so you might be able to learn more through his video. Thank you.

      Yes you can use that one. I had drilled a hole in the top for airflow for my RX 6400 and it works like a champ. Running an M920q. Using a Yeston 3050 will be just fine.

      I sent a link to ETA prime of a video I made with the YESTON RTX3050 6GB single slot lp that I bought about a month ago, paired to a Ryzen 5 5600GT, so it runs on PCIe gen 3 instead of 4. Idk if he saw my email. I’ll make more videos about it. It’s also a bit loud, but worth it, the performance is excellent. I like this guy, sadly I don’t know how to do 3D printing. ETA channel great too. Try the LENOVO TINY P340,P350 or. P360. Very powerful, slim, but a bit pricey.

    Masterpiece, I’m thinking why not use the extra space above the CPU to place the power supply, so that there is no need for an external power supply, or to expand mechanical hard drives and other things?

    • @itggear
      @itggear  23 дні тому +2

      The power supply is far longer than the PC, so I cannot put the AC adapter inside the PC. Instead, that space is better suited for a 2.5-inch drive or adding a screen to display PC performance info, like CPU and GPU load, temperature, weather, clock, and so on. Thank you.

      I had some issues with my 230W AC adapter, causing the PC to shut down under heavy load. This problem occurred because my adapter seems to be a non-original product of poor quality. If you have the original Lenovo AC adapter, even a 175W one should work fine. Thank you.

    • @itggear
      @itggear  24 дні тому

      I think designing a 3D case to fit a standard Mini ITX case is possible; however, we don't have front I/O such as a power button, USB, and front audio to work with that motherboard. Also, there are many available Mini ITX cases similar in size to this 3D case available on the market, so we might want to consider those metal cases rather than a 3D-printed one. Thank you.

      I think modding the GPU like the RTX A2000 carries a high risk of potential damage to the GPU, as I might knock off components on the PCB. • @greenprotag
      @greenprotag 24 дні тому

    • @itggear
      @itggear  24 дні тому

      Sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes, I watched some videos on UA-cam showing coolers, like those from the Arctic brand, but I don't remember the model name or number. They use a combo CPU contact frame to attach to the heatsink directly without using the CPU mounting screw holes. However, the one I saw was a full 150mm CPU cooler, and I'm not sure if a low-profile CPU cooler that mounts the heatsink using the CPU contact frame exists on the market. Thank you.

    Would it be possible to use an I9-12900 with an A4000 gpu on 300W's? This is the direction I was leaning, and I found a custom low profile shroud for the A4000 that'll make it possible to use the original lid for an M90Q Gen 3. It already has a vented mesh top. From the standpoint of power draw, and thermals. I know that you can edit dynamic vcore voltage. I could cap the cpu at 175w, and limit the gpu to around 75% power. Might actually be doable. Wondering also how this would affect the performance. If it's even worth it at that point.

    • @itggear
      @itggear  12 днів тому +1

      I checked the Lenovo product page for the Lenovo P360 Ultra with i9-14900 and RTX A5000 Mobile, which also has a 300W AC adapter option. So, if your A4000 is a low-profile GPU, that 300W AC adapter should be enough. The A4000 low-profile also has a 70W TDP, just like the A2000 and RTX 3050 LP. Thank you.

  • @alejandroespinosafernandez3604

    Hello everyone. I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q (with an I7 9th gen.), to which I adapted external graphics (RX 6600) through an Adt-Link R43SG 4.0 adapter. It's a good setup, it runs all games in high graphics at 1080p between 50 to 60fps on average. However, sometimes the bottleneck feels hard in the most demanding games because I'm reducing the GPU bandwidth by half with the adapter. That's why I want to update my setup with better elements. So, I don't know if it's better to assemble a conventional or mini-tower, or buy a low-profile graphics card like the Rtx 4060, and put it on my current PC to the PCI Express bus (Also thinking about buying an M90q Gen 3 in a not long future). What do you think?

    @eragondelta1 24 дні тому

    Hi! Trying to replicate this build but on an m90q Gen3. I’ve been dealing with stuttering within even basic games like LoL where frames drop every few seconds, making it unplayable. Was this why you switched to the 300W power adapter?

    • @itggear
      @itggear  24 дні тому

      The reason I switched to a 300W AC adapter is that I had issues with my PC unexpectedly shutting down under heavy load. I assume that my old AC adapter was probably defective or a poor-quality non-original product. In your situation, it seems the PC is overheating and throttling. You can check your PC, CPU, and GPU temperatures to see if they are too high and causing the PC to slow down. Thank you.
