In fact, we cannot directly compare the RTX 3050 Low Profile with the RTX 2070 GPU. The RTX 2070 GPU is more powerful than the RTX 3050 LP. I am looking to buy one to upgrade lol. I did find some solutions on the forums but seems that you can buy a 400 watt proprietary hp power supply and but I am not sure about size for the gpu.

I didn’t clearly understand the point you raised. However, I would like to explain my implementation of the fan hub. The HP EliteDesk 800 G3 tower motherboard has two fan headers: one CPU fan header and one chassis fan header, both of which are PWM fan headers. In my video, I connected the AIO pump to the CPU fan header on the motherboard and used a 1-to-2 PWM fan splitter cable to connect the rear case fan and the fan hub. The fan hub also uses a PWM signal, but the two-wire pin you see in the video is not a reset switch cable. It is a PWM signal control, minus the +12V pin and GND pin, so it has only two pins: a receiver PWM signal pin and a reporter PWM signal pin. Also, the cable management and CPU fan installation are not included in this video because I’ve covered detailed cable management in a previous video. Thank you.

@@itggear3400 no that's not what I'm talking about its about the edges of that I/O sheild I'm talking it's dangerous for your motherboard that's different story that the metal uses on the motherboard itself they have plastic inside of that metal they use that's why it doesnt make any contact on the bread board of the motherboard.

Hi! I understand your concern about the I/O shield edges. However, the HP case, including the I/O shield, is made of steel and is designed to be safe for the motherboard. The original HP case doesn’t have non-conductive materials like plastic to prevent shorts, and it works fine. However, thank you for your suggestion. I will keep your suggestion in mind and use plastic to create a custom I/O shield for my next build. You're right; plastic is easier to cut and adjust the I/O port hole. The reason I use a piece of steel to create an I/O shield is because it is more durable and thin. If we use a thin plastic or PVC material, it may be soft and weak. Still, if we use highly thick plastic or PVC (1 or 2 mm up) and due to a leak of precisely cutting the hole, the motherboard will no longer align with the screws stand-off, so We can not mount the motherboard to the case. If you would like to buy it separately, please search for a CPU cooler mounting bracket specific to your CPU, such as Intel 1151, Intel 1200, Intel 1700, or AMD. Usually, this bracket comes with a CPU cooler and may be designed for a specific brand or model. The bracket I use in this video comes with the EK 120 DRGB AIO CPU cooler, and sometimes this bracket may not fit with other CPU coolers. Thank you.

If you use an adapter on an HP desktop and it doesn’t turn on, sometimes the PC BIOS disables it to prevent any damage. You can try removing the CMOS battery and then installing the original power supply to see if it turns on again. My PC also did not turn on several times when I tried to bypass a USB port error alert by using a jumper pin. Thank you.

I think it would depend on your M.2 adapter size. If the adapter is as small as mine, which I used in this video, I should be fine. However, if you have a multiple M.2 slot PCIe adapter that is large in size, it could potentially block the airflow of the GPU fan. It depends on the actual hardware of your setup. Thank you.

@@itggear3400 My SSD is so big that it covers almost the entire slot, it seems to me that my only option is to carry a blower type graphics card if I want to have good airflow

Installing an RTX 3070 Ti on a 230W PSU (power supply unit) isn’t recommended. Even the standard RTX 3070 Ti alone consumes around 290W. So, if you’re eyeing that beefy graphics card, consider upgrading your PSU to handle the extra power demands. Safety first, right?

Based on my experience, using a 24-pin to 6-pin cable adapter has its pros and cons: Pros: - Allows you to use a standard power supply. - Enables installation of a graphics card. - PC continues to run without issues. If you’re planning to install an ATX power supply unit (PSU), ensure that you position the PSU all the way at the top of the PSU mounting bracket. The case allows for adjustable PSU positioning. Swapping out the HP ProDesk case is such an interesting idea. However, I find it a bit challenging because there’s currently no 24-pin cable adapter that works seamlessly with HP ProDesk motherboards. Additionally, the I/O shield is non-removable. So, if we decide to proceed with the case swap, we’ll need to stick with the original power supply and get creative by crafting our own motherboard I/O shield.
