    you are amazing, seariously... I have been following other mentors here on youtube (Saturno Moviment, Fitness FAQ, Gymnastics Method to name a few) and while they are all great in their own way, you are becoming my favourite. With you I have the impression that you know me so well... you seem to know all my struggles, my obstacles in the journey towards handstand. I recently subscribed to your channel and I am sure I will be just one of many many more subscriptions that you'll get in the next years. Your knowledge is impressive and I am grateful to you for taking time to share it with us. If it's not too much trouble, I would really really appreciate a series of follow along routine for beginner/intermediate practitioners. I can hold my handstand for 20 seconds off the wall but I use the wall to get into position. That said, keep up the great work! :)
    Sincerely,
    one of your (many) followers

    Chest-to-wall assisted handstand was a game-changer for me. The natural extension of the toes helped me maintain alignment, unlike the back-to-walls that promote a back arch since you don't have the toe extension.

    Thanks for the effort. This video is a good source, for learning about the general rules of handstand, and some basic training tips. However, there is very little info provided about the progressions, why you should train them, and how to find your weaknesses to target them specifically with the proper exercises.

    • @CoachBachmann
      @CoachBachmann  3 місяці тому +1

      Hey, glad you enjoyed the episode. I think no matter how much additional info I would add someone will always feel like something specific is missing as different athletes have different ways of training. Your points are great though and I believe they deserve their own dedicated podcast episode. I will put it on the list!

    I keep watching your videos fully first of all cause they make sense and you give lots of values, I watched yesterday your handstand push ups podcast and I wish I could show you the videos, after that I went and did my very first 2 reps clean and in control Handstands push ups, thanks,
    I would love to hear you do one on how to control the handstand in parallels, cause you have said that is easier but in my case I feel shit, can't sense my body and even if on the wall I feel like unconected with my body, but on my hands it is like super easy to sense my body and change positions of the shoulder and adjust, I do not feel like balancing but on the parallels it is like super hard.

    • @CoachBachmann
      @CoachBachmann  8 місяців тому

      Give it 2 weeks of consistent effort. It will feel strange for a while to come. Give your body a chance to adjust. Write down the 5, 10 or even 15 sets that you’ll do on parallettes during each workout and in just a few short weeks you’ll see significant changes

    I saw you din not include back at the wall. One benefit of that might be training how to use fingers as stopping legs getting over maybe ?

    • @CoachBachmann
      @CoachBachmann  11 місяців тому +1

      You know... First of all, you are right. This is a possible benefit of training back to the wall. I experimented with clients (in person & online) a lot to see if and how this can work. In person I saw some success. No chance online. A beginner who does not have a coach next to them will not do back to wall handstands properly. It is too hard! Plus I found that there are chest to wall exercises like the slide away (scroll far back in my shorts) is much more beneficial for fingertip use/activation.

    I just need to learn to stand on my hands! Now I can stand 10-25 sec. I can constantly kick up, press up like zombie pike press and stalder press so I can get up but not really stay on my hands

    • @CoachBachmann
      @CoachBachmann  11 місяців тому

      You need to work on base hs technique. I would recommend starting at the wall so you don’t have to focus on getting up. Instead you can fully focus on being and staying up.
