Nice job. At 19:24 the chain looked like it moved, but then you tapped it down later😅. I noticed on other videos they put Cam Phaser locking plates to hold the phasers in place, but you can do this job in your sleep by now lol. So before you even start taking off the old chains you set the marks by turning the crank shaft over to the correct positions, but my question would be if your chain has already jumped a tooth or two how do you correct that? I'm assuming the phasers would be a bit off. No one has really explained that on video. Your savage for taking off that peace on the oil pump since everyone says it's a no no 😅🤫. Be cool to see how you put the silicone on the timing cover and slap it in since thats what my next project is. U da man👍🏻
If you are not in a hurry I can make a video tomorrow of how I disassemble these engines. This was you have an idea of what to do the tools are fine but not needed. I do my engines a little different because I always inspected and hem thoroughly. Since 2018 till now I believe I have done at least 500 of these engines
I am behind on work so that’s way I have to come in tomorrow and tear down this engine so I can get all the parts on Monday. Like and subscribe it helps my channel
@@antonioaguirre6166 that be cool to see. Maybe you can show how to set up the timing chains before you take the old ones off and explain what you need to do if you're off a tooth or two and how to reset/time the phasers, crank etc etc... correctly. Your explanation of how and why you do it a certain way is super informative a Master class of how to do it and your videos are much appreciated👍🏻
Yes the camshafts caps are labeled On the right side bank 1 are labeled 1I,3I,5I that means they go on the intake camshaft, they are directional too. And 1E, 3E, 5E they go on the exhaust camshaft, they are directional.
On the left side bank 2 the one with the long camshaft. Will be labeled 2I, 4I, 6I that means it goes on top or the intake camshaft. 2E, 4E, 6E, 8E goes on top of the exhaust camshaft
this car had a combination of problems. it had the transmission pressure switches codes. it had the camshaft and crankshaft correlation codes. and an electrical issue too
