Cinnamon Roll Cake

3 cups unbleached All-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup soft butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 TBSP flour
1 TBSP cinnamon
13x9 baking dish or pan
350°F 25-30 minutes or until done. Some went up to 40 min. It all depends on the heat of your oven.
1 cup powder sugar
2 TBSP milk
1 tsp vanilla extrac

I made it! The cake itself was not sweet, but buttery. The sweetness really came from the glaze and the brown sugar mixture. It was the perfect amount of sweetness! Thank you for sharing this recipe!

I love this cake. I made it a few years ago for some occasion, maybe a Christmas day breakfast, and unfortunately everyone else in the family thought it was too sweet so I haven't made it since. But seeing this now makes me think I've sacrificed long enough 😁. Thanks for posting!
Try using 1/2c soften cream cheese and 1/2c powdered sugar instead of a whole cup of powdered sugar. That should balance the sweetness problem.
"Too Sweet"...What does that mean? As Dolly says "Serve it over ice cream to cut the sweetness".

I would saute one large peeled apple chopped into small bits, in butter, and add to the cinnamon mixture. Lovely recipe.

Looks great, I would add some pecans on there as well but that's just me and being nuts, ha, but looks yummy...wish computers could smell! And it's very easy to make as well.

That looks delicious! For a twist I bet it would also be good mixing in about a half cup of cream cheese in the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture that you swirl into the cake batter. Or maybe use it in place of the butter...I bet that would be delicious.
I've thought of that and I'm am going to do it. I mean, everything always tastes better with a little creamcheese! 😆 I have a creamcheese icing that I love making that would be awesome on this!
It looks delicious. You can also use Splenda brown sugar I baked with it. It is really good. But for regular people who can digest sugar🤔that looks like a winner.🤣🤣

This is like a Honey Bun Cake, made almost the same way but it calls for cake mix instead. This looks delicious but the other cake is easier(for those of us that are busier & not as experienced in the kitchen).

Thank you for sharing the recipe, this is one of the best cakes I have ever made its very fluffy and not dry, I didn’t however add flour to the butter filling and it still was a success and super yummy. My husband loved it and asked me to move the tray away or he’d eat it all.
