Great video, i did the same thing before season started with spreadsheets. One thing I think you missed is all the extra damage from charms and war travs. With WF being faster that exact same charm damage hits more frequently which adds up to quite a bit of DPS over Buriza!
Super details vid man I love it. For me it’s wind force > buriza and it’s not even close. I started with buriza and the damage is definitely higher but wind force just feels so much better. Faster attacks = more leech and more critical strikes. It also just feels smoother and you can recover better by leeching more quickly when taking damage.

First of all, great analysis. However, I think you've missed an important point. The frame rate of the buriza is high, meaning after you shoot, you're slower to move. You're slower to get the first shot out to slow/stagger enemies so you're much more vulnerable.
Sick man wanted to do the exact same thing but now I don’t need to. My calculations were suggesting the same, WF marginally wins pre pierce, but with pierce Buriza is stronger on flat dps. Long story short - go with what you prefer and enjoy, the damage output is the same. :)

I was actually shocked when I started doing the deeper calcs with physical reduction that buriza was doing more damage. Agreed on your last statement. I always tell people there is no wrong way to play d2.
Very good video. I am still on team Buriza. My bowa is close to perfect (what i've found so far) but still some improvements, mainly the max / ar / dex inventory. Most hell mobs i hit dies in one shot or survives with a slither of health. Think when i fix my inventory i might one shot everh mob solo player
I know, ur opinion, but I prever act5 Merc cause I ain't got gear and especially RUNES or Items for Faith OR Beast. I'm also struggling with Hell diff but I got low lvl Buriza. But anyways your vids are like MLG Gaming-content for Diablo2 or PD2 so thx for this and keep on going :D

To be perfectionist, you should include how the -29 dex reflects for the Buriza damage ;) That's a great analysis BTW.... I was in team Buriza allready (but just because as a Self found player, I still dont get Windforce)
I thought about it, but I didn’t include it because the strength requirement is 30 higher on Buriza vs WF so it’s pretty much a wash. I meant to mention that in the video.
It might be pretty weird but I really did not enjoy using a buriza even if dmg was up there. Really felt slower and the look of small bolts coming out is not as enjoyable as arrows.
my a1 merc does never die either, not in solo not in group play, legit never in well over 100 t3 maps. the a5 merc lvl 20 might does give give like 1-2k extra sheet over a lvl 8 templars which is quite a lot but the vigor movespeed is sooooo good to have furthermore in any non random grp play some of your support bots will run an a5 merc for you anyway so it will boost your group speed so much more to have the vigor for all, and in solo my ego can live with a little bit less sheet dmg we 2 hit anything anyway

@@boragaming1839 Yeah that would only change the Resist breakpoint which Buriza becomes more competitive to around 20% instead of the actual 10%

just go windforce it can still all the shit that buriza can do solo dclone and ubers with the best of em thats all that matters

IF u calculate in all the flat added dmg from your charms , windforce is kinda better .
windforce has always been the iconic physical bowazon bow and i dont like that pd2 is trying to change that.
Guess you never played original LoD :) Burizazon with guided arrow was the king of PvP in the first patches of LoD.
