Airship Fortress was remade in Mario Kart 7, which, surprisingly, is actually the second most recent Mario Kart game despite being more than a decade old.
With the exception of the SNES tracks, the four main retro cups in the base game have never remade any track more than once. The DLC cups are just an added bonus. Airship Fortress was in 7's Lightning Cup, so don't expect it to come as a retro in the next game unless it gets DLC of its own.
There may be some fan favorite tracks missing from the game, but I think the fact that there are now _ninety-six tracks_ in the game makes it hard to be mad about it.

@@MainlineThruTheRockiesthis. I'm fine with a couple tour tracks but they take up most of the roster and could have easily been better tracks that we haven't had remade before or a retro track comeback.

Lack of Airship Fortress, Dino Dino Jungle, Bowser's Castle 64 and Toad's Factory is criminal. Otherwise all my favorite tracks made it into either the base game or DLC, so that's awesome.

@@goofyfish17 nah its because boss of toad factory was underpaying their employess which made the factory shut down and nintendo doesn t wanna mention it because it would crash their stock
@@goofyfish17 Wario Stadium from Mario Kart 64 has had way more chances to be remade than Toad's Factory, and Nintendo has passed on every single one.
I'm kinda sad that people aren't talking about the other DS courses that haven't been added, like the Bowser's Castle and Rainbow Road from that game. Two amazing courses that both had elements that could've been great for the zero gravity gimmick of Mario Kart 8
The one track I really am sad about not returning is gamecube Wario's Colosseum. That would have been perfect for antigravity! Also missing the Wuhu island tracks. They would have been so cool with the beautiful graphics!
The absence of Airship Fortress is definitely the one that hurts the most. There are other tracks I love that didn't make it, but nothing that I will miss hard (the closest might be Toad's Factory, which was never going to be in since it wasn't remade for Tour, so I never hoped for its return to begin with), but Airship Fortress... why...
i bet the reason why Piranha Plant Pipeline did not make the cut is because i assume some people think that the name is literally similar to 3DS Piranha Plant Slide's Europe name being: *Piranha Plant Pipeway* , so i guess that makes sense
NOOOO!! YOUR DUMB F To put good tracks in the game like this one and Airship Fortress, they need to WORK HARD for the track to work in the game, and Nintendo is allergic to trying hard. because they know fans are dumb and will buy anything
It doesn't even use the name Piranha in Japanese so I doubt it. There's literally 4 Mario Circuits and 5 Rainbow Roads, changing a word is no different.
Rest in peace DS, the very first video game I’ve ever owned that was mine… the greatest birthday present ever, and the memories will sadly remain hazy but heartfelt.
TLDR: rest in peace to everybody’s memories, and as we go onto the actual day of the dead let’s at least take a moment to remember the loved ones we’ve lost too!!!
@T.extmeNin10doland_giveaway y’know, this really sours my good mood… this was supposed to be a genuine chain of kindness, and the spam bots ruined the nostalgia-filled moment that everyone was supposed to be feeling.
I was guttered when Airship Fortress, Toad's Factory and Wario Colosseum had no chance of coming back but now I'm just letting this pass, I'm hoping Wario Colosseum and Toad's Factory is retros in the next Mario Kart and Airship Fortress as a DLC track.
I've got to give my condolences to DS Luigi's Mansion. It was such a unique track, taking inspiration from one of the best Mario spin-offs. Truly a silent gem. Also, it means that there are NO Luigi-themed tracks in MK8DX, making it and Super Mario Kart the only games to not have one. I guess the closest thing we have is the Luigi's Mansion battle course....On top of that, it also would've fit, since the wave isn't releasing *that* far away from Halloween.
Sure, Luigi’s Mansion may have fit the Wave due to it releasing close to Halloween but seriously, if Mushroom Bridge, a *Flower* Cup course is too easy for Wave 6, then Luigi’s Mansion, a *MUSHROOM* Cup course is going to have *NO* chance
Wario Stadium is the oldest track that has never been revisited: every other 64 track has been remade, and every single SNES track returned in SC. I feel like that's notable.
I thought airship fortress would make it. I need that or preferably a new airship track, with rocky wrenches, mechakoopas, jumping ship, and so much more, including more obscure enemies
It’s insane we got Rosalina’s Ice World because it’s almost as old as Airship Fortress in terms of it being a Tour retro. In another universe, I would’ve been in the same wave as DK Mountain and would’ve look absolutely glorious.
It REALLY hurts not to see the tracks that have not been remade at all prior to MK7; N64 Wario Stadium, GBA Broken Pier, GBA Lakeside Park, GCN Mushroom City, GCN Wario Colosseum, GCN Luigi Circuit, DS Figure 8 Circuit, Wii Toad's Factory, Wii Luigi Circuit, and all the Bowser's Castles and Rainbow Roads. Especially when some other courses have been remade 2 or 3 times. We better get a lot of these in MK9.
Mario Kart Tour tracks are the most bland looking tracks out of all of them. I absolutely hate all of them. Even the remakes of our old tracks. They just look so lifeless compared to the tracks from mario Kart 8 Deluxe base game
80 (there are 16 missing from SNES instead of the four listed, Super Circuit's Bowser Castle courses were lumped together as one, and 10 RMX courses from Tour were forgotten about).
Agreed 100%. If you count the separate SNES tracks (+12 to the total count to make it to 16 missing courses), the separate Bowser Castle courses in Super Circuit (+3), and the RMX courses in Tour (+10), the total missing course count ends up being 80 tracks, not 55 like the video listed. And then there's the 30 courses from the Arcade GP trilogy, the single course that VR had (though that's admittedly an amalgamation of GP DX's courses), and the 30 themes from Home Circuit (dunno if you wanna count that), then the total missing count skyrockets up to 141.
I’m a little disappointed that they added a 3ds track and it wasn’t wario shipyard, but I’m happy that they added a 3ds track at all, 7 was my first Mario kart game and is very nostalgic for me
@@lennydickson8845 You want to know the best part? Remember when Mario Kart 7 brought back SNES Rainbow Road and only added extra percussion to the music? Well, guess what they did with Rosalina's Ice World for this game? *_EXACTLY THAT._*
There were talks about a privated video on the dlc playlist so it's possible they have one more surprise for us, but even if there isn't, 96 is more than enough
I'm kind of sad GCN Rainbow Road didn't make it. I never played Double Dash, but I know the GCN Rainbow Road music track from Brawl. I honestly would've loved a Switch rendition of "It's called a road, it's called the Rainbow Road". But alas, it wasn't meant to be. Maybe if GCN Rainbow Road was picked for Tour, it would've been added to 8 Deluxe as well. I'm content with the tracks we have gotten. Now Mario Kart 8 can finally be put to rest.
GCN Rainbow Road... eh... let me ask you this - do you enjoy Neo Bowser City on 200cc? Don't get me wrong, GCN Rainbow Road is an awesome course, and I'd argue it's among the best Rainbow Roads in the series. But, well... the course has some REALLY nasty turns. There's the hairpins after the second jump, which don't have guardrails on the outsides, but the big kicker is the S-curve section after the big helix, which is a series of turns with no guardrails that get increasingly tighter as you approach the pipe cannon. That section in Double Dash is very comparable to Neo Bowser City's S-curve section on 200cc.
Even if it was in Tour, Nintendo still definitely would’ve chosen Wii Rainbow Road. It’s more popular, more difficult and Nintendo knows how popular Wii is compared to Double Dash. That’s why we got 2 Wii courses 2 Waves in a row. That’s why there’s a total of 8 Wii nitros in the BCP and 4 Wii retros. That’s why we got the *entire* Star Cup remade and Wii’s entire character roster in 8DX. From the very beginning, the BCP was *always* planned to end on a Wii course. If Nintendo replaced a GCN course with Daisy Circuit, then they definitely wouldn’t replace Wii Rainbow Road with GCN Rainbow Road. From the very beginning, Nintendo has had an extreme bias towards Mario Kart Wii. Heck, they even pushed all the GCN courses back a Wave, *just* so Wave 3 could have a Wii course, as well as the fact that Waluigi Stadium wasn’t ready yet. Even if GCN Rainbow Road came to Tour, it would have *NO* chance, especially with the way Nintendo treated Double Dash during the BCP.
The Booster Course Pass was almost perfect for me but I was just missing Mushroom Bridge (Tour remake was great, I would have picked this track over shroom ridge), Luigi’s Mansion, Delfino Square, & Airship Fortress
They have enough missing courses and characters to probably make another whole booster course pack, if they make a few new ones. But we all know this is the end, maybe for the best. I salute the fallen tracks 🫡
Oh, N64 Wario Stadium has been remade a lot. DS Bowser's castle not quite as much, but it does have a few remakes that look pretty good (the MK7 one by Cruse_Tambal is still in beta, but the MK8 one by Lloyd Nabbit looks quite promising, didn't really take a look for MKW).
I think the reason piranha plant pipeline wasn’t included is the uk version of piranha plant slide is called pipeline so they didn’t want people getting confused
Piranha Plant Slide is called Piranha Plant Pipeway in the UK, not Piranha Plant Pipeline. Its name definitely wouldn't be a factor to why Piranha Plant Pipeline got scrapped, because an actual language-specific instance of courses sharing the same name, this time with Japanese, did not stop Cloudtop Cruise and Sky Garden from being in the same game. Still, naming should not matter either way when we have Mario Circuit, GBA Mario Circuit, Mario Circuit 3, DS Mario Circuit, Bowser's Castle, Bowser Castle 3, Rainbow Road, N64 Rainbow Road, SNES Rainbow Road, 3DS Rainbow Road and Wii Rainbow Road.
Pirahna plant pipelines is the only track from Mario Kart Tour that didn't make the cut?, somebody remember the RMX tracks?, yeah, they use the environments of Mario circuit, Donut plains, Choco Island, Vanilla lake and Bowser castle (with GBA soundtrack), but those tracks are very different and unique that really are "totally new" tracks!!
Yeah, the video skipped 25 tracks from the games. SMK is missing 16 tracks instead of the listed four, the four GBA Bowser Castles were listed as a single course, and the 10 RMX courses from Tour are missing. There's an additional 61 courses from the Arcade GP trilogy, GP VR, and Home Circuit titles if you want to be even more specific (though the HC courses are themes, technically speaking). As such, the total is 80-141 missing tracks, not 55 (even more if R and T tracks are separately counted).
A nice sendoff to the missing tracks that we all know and love (especially Toad's Factory 😢), here's hoping some of these come back as retro tracks in the next installment of Mario Kart.
It would be cool if Nintendo bumped the amount of courses up to 100 by adding an extra cup, and that cup is full of cross over things. Like one track could be Maka Wuhu and another could be Wuhu Loop. Or a nitro cup with just new, never before seen tracks.
If anything we should be happy because it's very likely a lot of these tracks that didn't make its way in to 8 will be fully remade for 9 I love 8 but as someone who's played since 2014 it's getting extremely old and I'm ready for the next game as soon as it's ready
Exactly. This game is nearly 10 years old.. it's about time to lay it in the grave.. if someone would have told me 2014 I have to wait over 10 years for another mk game (to that time every 3 years a new MK released...) I would have probably commit suicide lol it's so frustrating..
We should be happy about not being able to play these tracks in the game that... has all the other fan favorites, and instead be forced to play them in a game that will probably only contain those few fan favorites instead? ...I don't know about you, but I'd rather have all the important stuff in one game than having to constantly go back and forth between different games to get the full package.
Since different Rainbow Roads, Bowser Castles, and Sherbet Lands are considered separate tracks across games (as opposed to being lumped together by the same theme), you're missing more than the 55 tracks that were listed in the video. In Super Mario Kart, there are 16 SNES tracks missing, not 4 (otherwise the grouping logic used in the video means that there are only 8 tracks in SMK, which isn't true). They may share settings and music, but the course layouts are distinct enough to consider them as separate tracks (same rationale with how Mute City I and II are considered very different tracks in OG F-Zero). They are as follows: Mario Circuit (only MC3 is in 8D) 1) Mario Circuit 1 2) Mario Circuit 2 3) Mario Circuit 4 Donut Plains (only DP3 is in 8D) 4) Donut Plains 1 5) Donut Plains 2 Ghost Valley 6) Ghost Valley 1 7) Ghost Valley 2 8) Ghost Valley 3 Bowser Castle (only BC3 is in 8D) 9) Bowser Castle 1 10) Bowser Castle 2 Choco Island 11) Choco Island 1 12) Choco Island 2 Koopa Beach 13) Koopa Beach 1 14) Koopa Beach 2 Vanilla Lake 15) Vanilla Lake 1 16) Vanilla Lake 2 Four locales are missing, but 16 tracks are missing. This makes the running total of missing courses +12 on top of the originally listed 55. In a similar vein, there are four Super Circut Bowser Castle tracks missing, not one. (+15) If you want to include Arcade GP, GP2, and GPDX, then there's 12 from GP1, 4 from GP2 (GP2 re-uses GP1's assets and adds more), and 14 from GPDX. (+45 with Bandai Namco, +15 without) GP VR has a unique course, but it's an amalgamation of courses from GP DX and is unnamed, so we can exclude that. (+45 with Bamco, +15 without, +46/+16 if you do decide to include VR for some reason) Tour has the 10 RMX tracks that aren't in 8D. RMX tracks are distinct enough from their source materials, so add +10 to that. I'm not counting the R & T variants since they don't drastically change the original courses as the original courses are still the same underneath the added ramps, and the separate City tracks are included as separate laps in 8D's renditions of the City Tracks. (+55 with Bamco, +25 without, +56/+26 if VR is added) And Home Circuit has 30 themes, but they aren't tracks technically speaking. If you do count them as tracks (I don't personally), then the missing tracks from the total would be +85/+55 (+86/+56 if VR is added). As such, there are at least 80 tracks missing from 8 Deluxe, not 55 (+12 from SNES, +3 from GBA, and +10 RMX courses from Tour mean that there are 25 extra courses from the running count). At maximum (include the unnamed VR course, the Bamco games' 30 tracks, and HC's themes as tracks), there are 141 missing tracks.
ive always loved the wuhu-island mountain glitch on mk7. it were an amazing glitch (after the flagpole of round 2 you make a turn to the left and in that trun, turn around, use mushroom and fall into the water, you skip a lot).
@@yuco27 nintendo just hate all those bugs and glitches thats possible in all games they released. stop add glitches at release and if so, leave them and dont ban someone of that game. the point they ban someone is their own fault and that sucks. i didnt got banned of any game, but i almost did.
You undersell Super Circuit's Rainbow Road. Those jump ramps on the side make the whole thing pretty awkward to race on (in a fun way) while also having ridiculous shortcut potential. It's honestly one of my favourite Rainbow Roads.
80 since they left out 12 tracks from SMK, counted the four GBA Bowser Castles as a single track, and left out the 10 RMX courses from Tour. There's also the 30 courses from the Arcade GP trilogy, the 30 themes from Home Circuit (dunno if those count), and the amalgamation of DX's courses in GP VR, which brings up the total to 141 missing courses. And then Tour had the R & T courses and the city tracks that didn't get used as laps in 8D's renditions if you want to count them even more (I'm unsure of the total with those included).
I cannot believe SMK is STILL the only video game to have all of its tracks brought back as a retro course in a future mario kart game (Even though it’s not the same as 8DX).
No Wuhu tracks 😭 I’m very happy with the DLC overall, it’s already proven to be well worth the money for me. But Wuhu Loop, Airship Fortress and DK Jungle Parkway would have been awesome. Maybe even Yoshi Falls? I know it’s simple but it was a family favorite on the Wii.
Why's no one talking about DS Luigi's Mansion? That track was goated and now we'll never see a Luigi-themed race track in MK8DX...the only mainline game other than Super Mario Kart to not have one.....Also I say race track because there's the Luigi's Mansion battle track.
Nice roundup. It would have been better if you managed to include footage of the retro tracks that featured in future iterations. Like a cut from a SNES track that got remade in MK Wii for example. To show the evolution of the tracks and potentially what could have been in MK8D.
Nintendo comes to you and realizes they are 4 tracks short of 100 tracks in Mario Kart 8. They ask you to pick the last four tracks. They can be from any Mario kart game, and there can be multiple from one game. What do you chose? Mine are: 1. Wii Dry Dry Ruins 2. Wii Toad’s Factory 3. DS Airship Fortress 4. GCN Wario Colosseum Yeah, I know that’s a lot of Wii tracks, but in my defense I woulda traded daisy circuit and moonview for those two. Also I’m sorry lakeside park, I couldn’t fit you in :(
I think they are saving amazing tracks like Toad's factory, Shy guy bazaar etc for the next Mario Kart (Mario Kart X) the DLC was more about turning so-so tracks into fun and memorable tracks (Tour tracks, GBA tracks etc.)
No Airship Fortress is the biggest gut punch to me. They are almost certainly having more teams on that Mario Kart 9 ready for the Switch 2 though after this DLC finishes up

Me, it’s generally aggravating that it didn’t make it. Honestly wii rainbow should have not been in wave 6. It should have been toads factory. There is 5 rainbow roads in mk8 rn. This generally makes me mad that they added another rainbow road but not toads factory… don’t get me wrong, I like wave 6 but Nintendo kinda screwed us on this wave.
Many of the tracks that didn't make it to Mario Kart 8, like Mushroom Bridge, are in Tour. So this vid could have mentioned that little piece of detail.
I’m also sad that airship fortress didn’t make it kinda sad I wanna see how they remix the music and it’s a really fun track but whatever I like that they added a retro Bowser’s castle finally 🎉
I was sad for Airship Fortress but Toad’s Factory’s loss broke my heart it’s a fan favorite what are you doing Nintendo Put this course in MK9 I need to get my entertainment fix in Mario Kart again
I would’ve modified some of the tracks so they can act as Easter eggs for tracks that didn’t make it. For example, very rarely, the Paper Mario castles will spawn in the background of a rainbow road stage
Though there are some tracks we really did want, like dino dino jungle, Airship Fortress, and toads factory, But.. WE GOT DKKKK MOUNTAIN LEZZZZ GOOOOOOOOO
Rainbow Road DS has the giant loop and corkscrew, which are features that other Rainbow Roads sorely lack. It felt like a rollercoaster and other Rainbow Roads feel like a kiddie coaster.

Wish they have more love for MKDD. (Also BADLY wanted Delfino Square)
@@harrybest2041 the rule of a track that was already re-added unable to be re-added again in the base game will likely be broken in MK9 due to there being only one MK64 track left that hasn’t been remade… and I seriously doubt they would add only one MK64 track as a retro in base game… we could be seeing a few tracks that have already been remade show up in the base game…

I hope the next game we get is Mario Kart Ultimate. Every Course, Every Char, Every Mode included. And on top of that, bringing back Item switching from Double Dash and maybe even Special Items...
The ones deserving it the most are the ones that have never been remade like 64 wario stadium and wario colosseum, gcn rr. Also the ones like dry dry ruins which have been only remade in tour.
I personally think that the booster pass really turned out to be something great, it started with a big controversy about the graphics but they clearly improved on that aspect - seen in the Rainbow Road tracks. I know a big part of the initial Purpose of the DLC was to preserve some of the Tour tracks - It's great that tracks like Ninja Hideaway won't be forgotten when Tour will end eventually. The only issue there is the fact that there are some many city tracks... but at least the soundtrack is absolutely amazing on most of the tracks! I love that the Booster Pass expanded the Mario Kart 8 Soundtrack - One of the best video game OSTs of all time! My only issue is that they should have given us more variety in the locations. Daisy Circuit and Moonview Highway are great tracks - But cities are overused in the DLC, therefore I would have loved to see Dry Dry Ruins and Toads Factory instead. Tracks like Airship Fortress will forever be missed but, I think having all these amazing tracks in MK8 would make it impossible for MK9 to compete, so I'm fine for them to return in the future. It's incredible how long MK8 did last! I thank you Nintendo for preserving the relevance on this game for so long. May Mario Kart 9 be a worthy successor!
I’m grateful some of my favorites made the cut but I’m still so peeved that some of my old favorites didn’t like wuhu island and toads factory. They’re great tracks and the memories they have for me and others. I’d be cool if they did a Mario kart game with ALL the tracks ever created
I personally wonder if they’re saving big ones like airship fortress, toad’s factory, and wario coliseum for the next Mario kart game.
this would make the most amount of sense, especially considering how Nintendo is starting to build up on content in anticipation for the next console
But Airship Fortress was already in Mario Kart 7

No chance?
They did come back long before DLC even released though.
Hoping one day we can get an “Opps all Rainbow Road” Cup🌈
It could be great be great fun and a test of everyone’s Mario Kart skills!🌈
I thought airship fortress would make it. I need that or preferably a new airship track, with rocky wrenches, mechakoopas, jumping ship, and so much more, including more obscure enemies
It’s insane we got Rosalina’s Ice World because it’s almost as old as Airship Fortress in terms of it being a Tour retro. In another universe, I would’ve been in the same wave as DK Mountain and would’ve look absolutely glorious.
I guess Cloudtop Cruise is an airship track
It REALLY hurts not to see the tracks that have not been remade at all prior to MK7; N64 Wario Stadium, GBA Broken Pier, GBA Lakeside Park, GCN Mushroom City, GCN Wario Colosseum, GCN Luigi Circuit, DS Figure 8 Circuit, Wii Toad's Factory, Wii Luigi Circuit, and all the Bowser's Castles and Rainbow Roads. Especially when some other courses have been remade 2 or 3 times. We better get a lot of these in MK9.
LMFAO at “Wii Luigi Circuit”. The one Wii track that screams “it’s just Mario Kart. Same with “DS Figure 8 Circuit”. 😂
I’m sorry, but missing that one tour track is, in my eyes, brutal🥺
Thank god it was that knockoff pps ppp see you in Mario kart 9
Locked behind a mobile game until Nintendo decides to bring it to a future Mario Kart game. *fingers crossed*
Yeah and a good one too
See you in Mk9, PPP.
Mario Kart Tour tracks are the most bland looking tracks out of all of them. I absolutely hate all of them. Even the remakes of our old tracks. They just look so lifeless compared to the tracks from mario Kart 8 Deluxe base game
I cant believe there's only 55 tracks not in this game. Absolutely massive.
80 (there are 16 missing from SNES instead of the four listed, Super Circuit's Bowser Castle courses were lumped together as one, and 10 RMX courses from Tour were forgotten about).
The snes tracks should be counted as individual tracks.
Any of those tracks can come back in any future installment.
The RMX courses too, everyone always either forgets about them or leaves them out and it's sad.
I was really hoping for Airship Fortress. But I'm happy that Rosalina Ice Palace made it in
The one that hurt me the most for me was Ds airship fortress, that was just…ouch. 😢
I’m a little disappointed that they added a 3ds track and it wasn’t wario shipyard, but I’m happy that they added a 3ds track at all, 7 was my first Mario kart game and is very nostalgic for me

There were talks about a privated video on the dlc playlist so it's possible they have one more surprise for us, but even if there isn't, 96 is more than enough
4 more courses would add the number of couses to 100 so...
Same, but maybe it'll get remade if we ever get a Mario Kart 9...
@VestedUTuber I remember I always had trouble beating GCN Rainbow Road at 150cc because of those turns.
Dude, Piranha Plant Cove isn’t an original nitro track, it’s an original Tour nitro track
They have enough missing courses and characters to probably make another whole booster course pack, if they make a few new ones. But we all know this is the end, maybe for the best. I salute the fallen tracks 🫡
I think they saved the missing courses and characters in purposes so they have some good retro tracks left for Mario Kart 9.
9 is Tour@@Blinkers93
The fact that DS Bowser's Castle hasn't been remade in nearly 18 years is absolutely shameful. It's a pure classic and deserves more appreciation.
And N64 Wario Stadium hasn’t been remade in almost 27 years
Oh, N64 Wario Stadium has been remade a lot. DS Bowser's castle not quite as much, but it does have a few remakes that look pretty good (the MK7 one by Cruse_Tambal is still in beta, but the MK8 one by Lloyd Nabbit looks quite promising, didn't really take a look for MKW).
@@ehx3419 are you stupid? N64 Wario Stadium hasn’t been remade at all. You’re getting confused with DS Wario Stadium which has only been remade once

You should also go for A moment of Silence to the Battle Courses that didn't make the cut too, there were definitely some more I wish they added
6:47 cheese land in the base game, it’s like most forget that Mario kart 8 had 2 dlc packs before these 6 came out
Shyguy bazzar was SO unique we have never seen anything like it in the entire mario SERIES let alone Mario kart
I think the reason piranha plant pipeline wasn’t included is the uk version of piranha plant slide is called pipeline so they didn’t want people getting confused
I thought piranha plant slide was also titled piranha plant pipeway
There's literally 4 Mario Circuits and 5 Rainbow Roads, changing a word is no different. It doesn't even use the name Piranha in Japanese either.
Yeah my bad me being an idiot when hopping on Mario kart 8 deluxe and seeing pipeway instead of pipeline
Happens to the best of us
it was a good run but this reminded me a lot about smash ultimate, also rainbow road wii remix is so fire can't wait to relive my childhood
PPP mushroom bridge and airship fortress really hurt since they were all predicted for the bcp
I wanted Wii Luigi Circuit back just for its song
We still have a chance when the new MarioKart game comes out in 3042
We’ll be dead by then! Everything that we love won’t exist by 3042!
Airship Fortress being left out is the biggest kick in the balls for me. It was my favourite DS track.
If anything we should be happy because it's very likely a lot of these tracks that didn't make its way in to 8 will be fully remade for 9
I love 8 but as someone who's played since 2014 it's getting extremely old and I'm ready for the next game as soon as it's ready
When they release the next console as there has always been 1 Mario kart per console
They are as follows:
Mario Circuit (only MC3 is in 8D)
1) Mario Circuit 1
2) Mario Circuit 2
3) Mario Circuit 4
Donut Plains (only DP3 is in 8D)
4) Donut Plains 1
5) Donut Plains 2
Ghost Valley
6) Ghost Valley 1
7) Ghost Valley 2
8) Ghost Valley 3
Bowser Castle (only BC3 is in 8D)
9) Bowser Castle 1
10) Bowser Castle 2
Choco Island
11) Choco Island 1
12) Choco Island 2
Koopa Beach
13) Koopa Beach 1
14) Koopa Beach 2
Vanilla Lake
15) Vanilla Lake 1
16) Vanilla Lake 2
Four locales are missing, but 16 tracks are missing. This makes the running total of missing courses +12 on top of the originally listed 55.
In a similar vein, there are four Super Circut Bowser Castle tracks missing, not one. (+15)
If you want to include Arcade GP, GP2, and GPDX, then there's 12 from GP1, 4 from GP2 (GP2 re-uses GP1's assets and adds more), and 14 from GPDX. (+45 with Bandai Namco, +15 without)
GP VR has a unique course, but it's an amalgamation of courses from GP DX and is unnamed, so we can exclude that. (+45 with Bamco, +15 without, +46/+16 if you do decide to include VR for some reason)
Tour has the 10 RMX tracks that aren't in 8D. (+55 with Bamco, +25 without, +56/+26 if VR is added)
And Home Circuit has 30 themes, but they aren't tracks technically speaking.

You undersell Super Circuit's Rainbow Road. Those jump ramps on the side make the whole thing pretty awkward to race on (in a fun way) while also having ridiculous shortcut potential. It's honestly one of my favourite Rainbow Roads.
There's 55 tracks left. They added 48 in this booster pass. They could still add them in another pass. XD
RIP Airship Fortress
80 since they left out 12 tracks from SMK, counted the four GBA Bowser Castles as a single track, and left out the 10 RMX courses from Tour. There's also the 30 courses from the Arcade GP trilogy, the 30 themes from Home Circuit (dunno if those count), and the amalgamation of DX's courses in GP VR, which brings up the total to 141 missing courses.
And then Tour had the R & T courses and the city tracks that didn't get used as laps in 8D's renditions if you want to count them even more (I'm unsure of the total with those included).
The fact that Wuhu Loop and Maka Wuhu didn't make it to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is such a disrespect to the Miis!

Are there a good amount of Fan favorite tracks from Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Super Circuit, DS, Double Dash, Wii and Mk7 in my list of those 42 tracks I listed off that didn’t make the cut into the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster course Pass DLC ?
I hope the next game we get is Mario Kart Ultimate. Every Course, Every Char, Every Mode included. And on top of that, bringing back Item switching from Double Dash and maybe even Special Items...
They better be retros for the next game!
Hope so.
They have since the ds game so it's really a given
The ones deserving it the most are the ones that have never been remade like 64 wario stadium and wario colosseum, gcn rr. Also the ones like dry dry ruins which have been only remade in tour.
A lot of the tracks being talked about were already retros in DS, Wii and 7. We’re good…
I personally think that the booster pass really turned out to be something great, it started with a big controversy about the graphics but they clearly improved on that aspect - seen in the Rainbow Road tracks.
GBA tour only tracks were definitely a loss
I’m grateful some of my favorites made the cut but I’m still so peeved that some of my old favorites didn’t like wuhu island and toads factory. They’re great tracks and the memories they have for me and others. I’d be cool if they did a Mario kart game with ALL the tracks ever created
@T.extmeNin10doland_giveaway nice try
