Natural hair attracts men that are aware that feminine doesn't equate to long straight or curly hair. It's serves natural women well, because if you are attracting a man because you look like what he fantasizes with long hair, what happens when you remove it? A lot of men are unapologetic when you fool them into thinking you are their preference. Better to attract one who likes what you look like without it. There is someone for everyone. I have a short 4c twa, and I am ultra feminine. The men keep looking. It's all about how you carry it.

I’ve never cared about the male gaze 🤷🏾‍♀️. My decision about me don’t include thinking about what a male will think about me. I did my first big chop in 08 and my mother asked me how I was going to attract a man with short natural hair. A male cousin of mine said, “you’re already dark skinned, why do you want nappy hair too?” I was unfazed.
When we learn to center ourselves and not concern ourselves with the opinions of others, then we will be free. You will naturally attract the people that are meant for you and you will naturally repel those that aren’t.

Women wear whatever kind of extensions you want to wear! Just because someone doesn’t like their “4C” hair it doesn’t make them insecure. It’s makes them honest about themselves. Why would you tell someone to wear something that they don’t like? No other race shames women for wearing or styling their hair as they please. You don’t hear white women telling each other “ if you insecure about your kinky hair, you should get a curly wig or wear curly extensions! White women straighten their hair and no one bats an eye. No one says they’re insecure!

What kills me about most of these femininity coaches who are obsessed with looking super fake (there is a difference between looking put together and looking ridiculously fake like can they be FR) is that they tend to NOT be married and they are selling courses for what? I always said that you should be able to be your authentic self (how ever you want to do your makeup, wear what you like, wear your hair how you want, and etc!) and be able to attract effortlessly! Like I am so over tons of these coaches wanting women to change A TON. like please be yourself ladiesss PLZ

I don’t get this comment. ‘They don’t tend to be married and are selling courses for what?’ Insinuates that women only pursue femininity to attract men and get married. Femininity should have nothing to do with men imo. It’s about being ‘feminine’, ‘femme’ womanly… it should be a safe space away from men. If I read ur comment wrong pls explain. Otherwise I agree with what u said about everyone looking fake and teaching others how to look just as fake

In my country, short hair is considered extremely feminine and the women always look stunning because of their facial features. When i travelled back home, my younger cousins were rocking their short hair so well that it made me want to cut my hair because they looked incredible. I also think women need to realise that everything is not about the male gaze, and if someone doesn't like you for who you are, then you should keep it moving. I am not living to please anyone but myself. For the first time in my life, I have felt more feminine than ever before and I was able to wear my natural hair when i walked for Africa Fashion week, which made me so happy. Ahh ladies, our hair is beautiful.

I started my locs in 2016 and it was a drastic change that I fully embraced, although it wasn’t easy. In 2017 I met my husband and my locs looked like a TWA. I have to be honest and say I think most people would appreciate their own natural hair if it was long. That’s when natural hair is appreciated with natural hair short most men don’t desire it because they don’t understand and it’s not mesmerizing to the eye to them. To them just to see if be a fro, especially if it doesn’t seem as though it’s styled, it’s a no. I’m not saying that from my perspective because I do think natural hair is pretty in any way that it’s done as long as it’s healthy, but I really feel that’s how men view it. Especially black men

Love coach advise us so we can find love but if I find love wouldn’t that person love me and my hair? To me a lot of coaches are not confident with their natural hair and that’s why they give this piece of advice. I’ve been wearing my natural hair for a long time (I still wear wigs sometimes) and I’ve had no problem attracting men of all races : a lot of people have this limiting belief that natural hair stops you from attracting men. If you are confident and you style your hair in a way that suits you will attract men, period! You will not attract everybody just like you wouldn’t with a wig.
I saw your older videos with wigs and I believe wearing your natural Afro suits you better it balances your features.

I haven't felt so good about myself and about life since I decided to wear my natural hair JUST THE WAY IT IS. I no longer wear the kinky clip ins or spend hours doing the bantu knot-outs or two strand twist -outs to make my hair into something that it's not. I have beautiful, strong 4c hair. I live in Hawaii where it is very humid. My natural hair used to laugh at all the work I would do to make it look 3a-4a. I feel more feminine now than I ever have. And I have been getting many compliments on my natural hair lately. My hair is getting longer. I'm aiming for a huge afro. Me and my 4c.

    Dear Evie,
I wanted to let you know that I've been loving your recent videos. Keep up the great work! 😘❤️
I'd like to add something about attractiveness as a natural girly that might help someone out there.
Going natural requires you to develop your character and understanding of the world. Specifically learn this: the things we are attracted to are often related to our values. From what we consider a good time to what we find beautiful, our values play a role. As you improve your values, you'll naturally be drawn to better things.
Unfortunately, our (Black African) community has many poor values, both in Africa and in the diaspora. This might have worked in your favour when you also held poor values, even if unconsciously. However, as you grow and improve, it might not so much.
As long as the majority of men in our communities continue to hold poor values, natural hair may not receive the reception you hope for. Instead of hiding your true self, allow yourself to keep growing. Be ready to change your perspective on the world and hold better values unapologetically. Don't waste your energy arguing with others or yourself about this.
Finally, it's worth noting that quality men who share your values do exist. In fact, they've probably been waiting for someone like you for a long time. ❤️

This was good! I love how you touched on length. But texture is equally or even more important in this conversation. I do believe the femininity convo is more geared toward thicker coarser natural hair like mine. If its a looser curl its usually gets a pass. I dont believe in telling women how to wear their hair but I do think its concerning when I see women who constantly wear wigs, braids, weaves etc. I have been there and its exhausting!!

i think i fell into my femininity by the pure acceptance of myself because i really attracted a lot of great people during this time. i was blooming🌸😅
i found a great guy & only really hung with him with my natural hair & minimal makeup. it felt so freeing & he made me feel so beautiful. he really helped me in seeing my value because before him, it was just my family that would say nice things about me. when he said similar things, i just believed it for sure.❤

Hey Ms.Evie!!!! I just wanted to saying being born a woman is femininity itself. We will never have to try to be feminine when the definition was created inside if us. WE SET THE STANDARD!! And I love the comment you said about our hair matching our facial feature. I noticed I use to do more makeup when I wore wigs specifically the lace fronts they never compliment my natural face as much as my natural soft feminine hairline and go figure its because lakefronts reframe your face. I really hope more of our people , more of the women from our culture stop believing the lies about our hair and truly see what God created us to be and how beautiful we are :) You look stunning Evie White is your color girl!!!Another fabulous video exposing the lies in our community 🥰 Also girl I don't want any man that doesn't accept what God naturally gave us on our head. My hair makes me feel the most womanly the wigs are something most folks do to become feminine baby if you are a woman you don't have to BECOME when you already ARE. 😆
