Hi!! your video was the first one to show up after my 'daily hair wash' search. For the past month I've been washing my hair daily with shampoo + conditioner and I've never in my 29 years of life seen it this healthy. My scalp no longer itches and my hair is actually retaining length, i experience MINIMAL shedding and i can notice the growth!!!. It's amazing and I'm never going back. I screamed at Bozo 😂🤣. The issue is people love putting others in a box. Your a Christian so you shouldn’t wear xyz, you have natural hair so you should also not wear makeup etc. It’s so exhausting! I was also shocked moving down south seeing so many wigs/weaves. I didn’t expect it. It’s too hot for 24/7 wig wearing imo. But the humidity is also an issue for those with natural hair. Great video

Evie your skin is glowing girlllll😍 for me personally the biggest change is mentally. People compliment me on my natural hair and how it makes me looks and for some reason I am actually able to receive those compliments. When I was wearing wigs especially the ones that were not similar to my actual texture I felt like that’s what they were complimenting (and they often would mistake me for being mixed but I am a full black woman) and while I did choose the wig and take the time to put it on it just never felt as good in comparison to not thinking about if my lace is blending and when I need to install a different unit etc. in my late teens - early 20s that was fine but now it gives me so much more time for other things and I can literally wake up shake it and go (sometimes have to re- wet it) but other than that it’s a win for the black community especially as a sista. And evie I know you may prefer baddie but to me you’re very elegant and Classy imo that’s far better than a baddie 💕

I'm over salons. Natural, Silk Press, Wigs, Weaves. I'm just done! I've been natural for 10 years & my hair was thriving. But 2 years ago, I went in for a silk press bc I wanted a blunt bob & it all went to shit from then. The 1st stylist was definitely finessing me. She cut my bob blunt our 1st appointment & I went back 6 months later, she cut my hair in layers (I didn't know what she was doing at the time, my hair is fine strands & doesn't do well with layers bc my curls tangle on each other, I do well with blunt 1 length cuts) After maybe 2 months my hair was so unmanageable, so I went back (like a dummy) & she kept doing it & said it was because I didn't come every 6 to 8 weeks! I went to her from Jan 2022 to July 2023. Broke up with her, went to another stylist, she did the same thing. The third stylist fixed it for me, by only cutting the base to let my crown grow out & catch up (these stylist will literally have you out here with a 6 inch crown & 14 inches at the nape) & I saw her once every 6 months for 1 year, but she lost her visa & moved back to Jamaica. I miss her a lot but she was really the stylist for me bc I could manage my hair at home & see her like twice a year. My crown grew 5 inches, so now I have 11 inches on the top & my hair is looking better & not like it was hacked to pieces. So now, I'm just not going to set foot into another salon bc she showed me my hair is manageable & that she was just there to guide me. Now if you are color treated or have some high maintance style, going twice a yr to the salon isn't realistic. But I have virgin natural hair that really just needs to be washed & trimmed. That's not a luxury service. That's so basic! It was honestly a demonic feeling I got from my 1st stylist. It seemed like she was a vampire trying to suck my energy (money). I'm shopping over the ethnic lines & I see more black women doing so as well. L'Anza Healing Oil line is my favorite! I was looking for something that I can use for my natural curls & my silk presses & you're right, the science of hair is straight forward. I'm honestly so much better off & spending my money on true luxury experiences that are more rewarding.

Oddly enough, I have strangers ask if its actually my hair. "It is my hair, kinks and all". I have always shampooed my hair weekly, but twice weekly has proven to be beneficial. I finger coil my strands which takes about two hours; It takes about 30 minutes to dry. Afterwards, I wake up and lift my kinks and get on with the day. This is one of the REALEST videos on UA-cam! Its like you can't speak correct English with clear diction, like museums, art, ballet, opera, or use uncommonly used words and still be a black woman. When you have no interest in things that are deemed "more black", you are indeed invisible or talked about. I dress modestly and professionally most times. They look at me like I am a human unicorn. I have alopecia and do wear wigs because I do not want to deal with all the questions of what happened to my hair. Nosey people really test my faith. Its growing back and as soon as it does, its over for the wigs. Even in wigs, I am ignored by most men with the exception of those who perceive me as weak due to my calm demeanor and being soft spoken. I am 44, plus size (size 14, though I have lost 100 pounds) and came to terms long ago with being unseen. I refuse to be molded into someone I was never meant to be in order to be deemed worthy in the eyes of people that truly don't even know who they are and function in a false sense of identity. My validation is for me in Christ alone. I go to all the things I love despite people finding them odd. Acceptancy of who you were never meant to be is the beginning the most beautiful metamorphosis toward your authentic self. As long as God is here and I know He will be, everything will be fine❤

I’m so glad I started rocking my natural hair. I get so many compliments, and my curls are popping.

I'm wearing wigs now while i regrow ly natural hair. I had locs for over a decade but I felt like my hair was becoming weak and thin. It is taking a minute to adjust very short hair.

chasing men is such a masculine energy. men are the ones who chase women. men are the ones who fight for women. men are the ones who do whatever to get women. not the other way around.

I got a loose curly weave yesterday and had to take it out. My hair was screaming to breathe and be “shown off.” We stand out and look ultra feminine with this hair of ours ❤

I see little to no hair growth in 5 months....even with Shrinkage, you should see some progress.

There is a time and place for both. I am a private person for the most part but at work, I am SECRET 🤐. I don’t want nobody at work knowing what I do on my free time 😂😂🤣

Hahaha! I’m the exact same way. But then you end up being the bad guy for skipping out on happy hour!

I (Nnena) am private and proud! At the same time I’m an open book. I know to many this is a contradiction but let me explain. I don’t go around shouting my business but since I don’t lie if you ask I will tell. The older I get I learn to keep more to myself. Once you tell one person something it’s no longer in your control who finds out.
