How to Find CRAPPIE with 2D Sonar (How to Locate Crappie)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 сер 2018
- Here are some tips that I use to find crappie using a 2D sonar unit. Finding crappie can be tough, especially if you are not sure what your fishing electronics are telling you. I explain how to find fish (crappie) while adjusting the depth range, chart speed, cone angle, and color pallete on your sonar unit. 2D sonar is virtually the same for all units Humminbird, Garmin, Lowrance, and Ray Marine.

Finally know what crappies look like on 2D! Thanks
Excellent video! I recently bought an older bass boat which has a couple of Lowrance units with GPS and maps, but only do 2D sonar and I've been trying to learn how to use them. This is exactly what I needed. Please keep producing more videos of this type. Thanks for producing good quality educational videos.
Thank you for a simple explanation of the fish finder. Every other one I've seen they are talking about high dollar units and not simplifying the explanation.
One of the best vids I've seen 👍🏿... The format is excellent and info on point
Thanks for taking the time to show this instructional video! Looking forward to the rest of this series!
eagerviper thanks for watching!
Appreciate you going over that about the crappies. I been misinterpreting alot of fish for clutter in the water..
Thanks for the info. Lookin forward to the rest of the series.
This is one of the best videos I’ve seen regarding how to interpret sonar images. Nice video. You do a really good job explaining what is shown on the graph.
Thank you!
I agree
Nice video!!! Very good explanation thanks my friend for take time to explain.
This was super informative as I am just now learning how to use a fish finder. I look forward to part 2 and 3! 👍🏻👍🏻
I also posted a video on how to use side imaging if you're insterested in learning about that. A link is in the video description and also at the end of the video. thanks for watching!
Great video done in a on-the-water presentation. Awesome man, thanks.
Very well done. Appreciate the detail.
Great vid. I appreciate you doing this for the “dummy’s” like myself who couldn’t figure this out on our own. Detailed descriptions and very well made video. Keep them coming! I will be watching the others soon!
Thanks, and thanks for watching. Let me know if you have any questions that I haven't covered in my current video series on sonar units. I always like new video ideas!
Mr crappie do u own the brand
Excellent video. Can’t wait for the next one.

Thanks for subscribing!
cant wait for the other videos.
Thank you. Been watching many instructionals. I think you are among the A+ ones.
thanks, i'm glad the video could help.
Thanks for making this video. I have been misreading the school of crappie as a brushpile and the brush pile you showed as a more dense bottom.
you're welcome, glad the video helped
Way to be real! I learned 3 new things. Way to get to the point from minute 1. So of course I hit the bell!
Thanks!
@@FloppingCrappie Great video. I still have troubling feeling confident that I'm seeing crappie on my fish finder. This was more helpful to me than the "watch me fish" videos everyone else want to do on UA-cam. I was surprised to see the crappie suspended away from the brush pile in both images. I've always been looking for them/expecting them, to be surrounding or inside the brush pile. Is this common?
Wow, you really presented some solid information with this video. I will be returning to this video often. Thank you!
Thanks for explaining this, good information.
Great video dude now I can actually understand what I'm looking at on my units
cecil christopher I just posted part 2. If you're interested in brush pile fishing you should check it out. It also includes side imaging sonar.
Nicely done. I learned a few things. Thank you.

Excellent and very important video to watch for a lot of people out there. Thanks for making it! I'm looking to get my first "real" fish finder very soon. Trying to decide between the Helix 7 Mega SI & the Lowrance Hook Reveal 9 with upgraded transducer. Then I will probably watch this video again just before I hit the water.

Davidson , first thing getting is i Pilot on my Power Driver V2 trolling motor. Using 2 Echo Map Plus 45CV. Then a big Hummingbird
Best tutorial on 2D sonar I've seen. Thank you for doing this. I can't afford the $2000+ units, so this really helps me understand. I have a Lowrance hook 5 and all I used it for was reading water temp and depth. Hopefully I can get more use of it now.
Glad it was helpful!
