How to Find CRAPPIE with 2D Sonar (How to Locate Crappie)

  • Here are some tips that I use to find crappie using a 2D sonar unit. Finding crappie can be tough, especially if you are not sure what your fishing electronics are telling you. I explain how to find fish (crappie) while adjusting the depth range, chart speed, cone angle, and color pallete on your sonar unit. 2D sonar is virtually the same for all units Humminbird, Garmin, Lowrance, and Ray Marine.

Excellent video! I recently bought an older bass boat which has a couple of Lowrance units with GPS and maps, but only do 2D sonar and I've been trying to learn how to use them. This is exactly what I needed. Please keep producing more videos of this type. Thanks for producing good quality educational videos.

@@FloppingCrappie Great video. I still have troubling feeling confident that I'm seeing crappie on my fish finder. This was more helpful to me than the "watch me fish" videos everyone else want to do on UA-cam. I was surprised to see the crappie suspended away from the brush pile in both images. I've always been looking for them/expecting them, to be surrounding or inside the brush pile. Is this common?
