- Hey guys! In this video, I share my top two ways on how to recover a failed twist out routine! Sometimes our hairstyle doesn't come out the way we want it and that is just the nature of natural hair and instead of being sad about it or washing your hair and starting all over again, there are a few ways to make your hairstyle look great! 99% of my twistouts are fails, lol. High puffs are my friend or just basic 2 flat twists, low bun. Crown braid.
the pick out for failed twist/braid outs is my go to lol. I always get compliments & ppl telling me that my hair looks “Africana”😆 the ‘big’ look on natural hair is underrated!!
I agree. I love huge hair. And since majority of my hair styles are fails, I always rock a big fro and get lots of compliments and some stares lol.

My twist outs were fails up until napturals recent twist out secret routine. It did take me two days for hair to dry BUT complete game changer!
Your hair turned out very cute. You always look so beautiful. I don't have a lot of luck with my twist outs sometimes and it can be soooo frustrating. I usually put my hair up if the twist out doesn't come out the way I want it. Today is actually my wash day so I will be attempting it today again lol 🤞🤞
The end result looked cute. Try a moisturizing leave in, curl defining cream and an oil for your twist out instead of a gel (basically LCO). I usually sit under the dryer too to dry my twists. My hair comes out so soft, but still defined.
Krystal N you are so right! I tried this combo and it worked well but sometimes leaves my ends a little frizzy!

I haven't had a successful twistout yet. When mine fails I put it in a puff or shrink it down into an afro

I literally just did the same. Twistouts aren’t my best look, I mostly do WNGs, decided to try it again and it wasn’t what I was going for so I made it a puff with bangs and off to church I went. Next time I might just pick mine out like you did. Cute curly fro.💗

I tried Koils by natural Moisturizing Shealoe Leave- in Conditioner, grapeseed oil, and The Mane Choice Crystal Orchid Gel and I got a great twist out that last for 1 week. No flaking and felt moisture.
All I can say is NICE!!!
I did a last minutes twist out and I know it's going to be a fail from since I started doing it so I'm looking to see what I can do from now lol

A leave in and curl defining cream would've helped.
When I have a fail I just tell my husband I’m transitioning and he’s lucky I’m even trying to look nice during this time haha
Then in public I throw on a slap cap or Tress baseball cap and pretend I’m just going grunge 😊

Omg I’ve been having the same problem since the warmer months & summer. I’ve put my hair in a high top ponytail or a pinned faux hawk.
Lani B omg your right maybe it’s the weather too bc I noticed my twist outs come out better in the colder months 😩
I think you need to hydrate your hair a little bit more use a leave-in conditioner with your gel and it will turn out good and, the very big hair volume is a little to much for your simple cute face you may need to slow down with our volumizing comb :) , other than that everything is good :)
