  • My dear friend Georgia was pretty nervous about flying with me. I asked her to record her thoughts on the experience, from her therapist point of view.

    Your friend looked like a kid discovering the wonders of the world for the first time. Great job Brian make this flight a notable point in her life.

    This is absolutely beautiful. Her sense of awe and child like expression is the reason why I love to fly.

    I love this. I sat watching it with a grin firmly bolted to my face. I love seeing the heady mix of apprehension and joy on Georgia's face and her description is fantastic. Just what I needed to fill up my heart on a Friday afternoon after a tough week at work. Thanks man. ❤

    I always loved taking people up for their first time in a small plane. Especially females since they tend to show their emotions more. Their faces were always glued to the windows. I managed to talk them into doing a few stalls and they’d scream every time the plane would drop out from under them and they’d immediately want to do another one. I was based out of Tune myself at the time but this was before Tune had a control tower. Good to see a Tune growing up.

    Well done video. Neat to see you work while the passenger is just soaking it in...

    Brian - a beautiful video. So we’ll done. Love the concept of letting your passenger describe her experience. The eloquence and child-like wonder was delightful to hear.

    0:30 "like a leaf blower" .. yeah, but aircraft engines aren't that strong.
    1:35 love how you potted down the engine noise as headsets went on.
    16:50 nudge the mike. yep.
    Love Georgia's narration! Including impression of the airport (the FBO must have been a big todo) and seeing her expression on takeoff. Seeing her expressions on final was telling as well. And your new nickname is "sky shaman".

    Excellent video, with an important and captivating narration from Georgia... "you did it!". As an aside, now that you have those really nice G5s... you should spring for shoulder harnesses. All the best. Wayne (DA40 KSBA)

    So when is her first lesson? I love taking this idea of GA that so many people see as foreign and showing them just how awesome and accessible it really can be!

    Was this taken at KJWN? I'm learning to fly there at Harmony! Maybe I'll see you flying around :) I've started my solo XC's recently.

      @BrianSiskind  Рік тому

      Yep! I also trained at Harmony in 2021 - awesome you are getting it done! My plane is hangared at KBWG, but since I live right next to JWN it is nice when we can bring it down for a few days.
