    Being skilled at dogfighting is one thing, being a good teacher is another thing. It's very rare to have someone who is great at both. Thank you for sharing both of your skills!

    The pip goes along with the derivative of the curve, not the curve itself. It only calculates based on a linear equation and doesn't take any curves into consideration (and isn't exclusive to SC either). The F-16 manual states for gunnery to fire ideally inside of 1/2 second time of flight, which for repeaters in SC would be a maximum effective range of 700 meters and for cannons that drops to 350 meters (according to United States Air Force doctrine).

    As It was once said in an old PC game called Independence War! The one main quote from training was: " You got make her Dance!" In that as in your main flight path, you slide left, you slide right, you bob n weave, you rock n roll, you ride the wave ~~~~~ You make her Dance!

    I’ve been watching your videos for the past few days, you’re literally the first one I’ve been able to find that goes in-depth and in detail and breaks shit down to an equation on how to Dogfight. Now all I need is practical application with against more experienced foes and continue learning until everything becomes muscle memory. Long story short, you’re doing great work man, and probably one of the biggest assets to the Star Citizen community, probably don’t even know it.

    Only been watching you videos recently,
    I really enjoy the technical aspect of combat you present.
    I do like though that pipper systems can be fooled..
    ( bit different but kinda like notching a radar in modern day combat)
    I would love to have a zero-assisted fix pipper..
    yes, even if there’s no latency or lag in server and everything is pin point accuracy there will still be those who complain about not hitting their mark because of variables

    The bigger problem why some are not getting this is because they are not able to translate what they are seeing in the cockpit with how they and their target are moving in the 3D space. There has to be a better way to teach this so those who cannot visualize what you are representing and there are a lot of those who do not have that type of analytical mind to be able to see the perception in their mind and need to see it more graphically. Your 2D representation is not cutting it for those types of players!

    4:30 so ur basicly roll dew degrees and create wave pattern by side strafing, wont it be better in 0g for ex with Vanguard, if ill be 90% rolled and by vertical truster i would create left to right screen travel path. And by adding sligh rolls to left and righ, combined with vertical upstrafe it would be much faster then using sidetrusters right?

    • @Avenger__One
      @Avenger__One  2 роки тому +1

      You wanna be side strafing and alternating up/down roll right/left

    Also i allways wondered, erkul shows some numbers, buthow about a power of vertical trusters? side truster pull? ect? im trying to find perfect ship for me, something with a lot of guns, like tana or bucaneer, but with smallest profile possible ane highest side/up pull possible

    • @etogreen
      @etogreen 2 роки тому

      The Bucc strafes like a medium fighter, and it's pitch/yaw jerk profile is bad, making it hard to apply damage. Hawk is a little more responsive with good firepower, but still not great. Tana would have great up strafe if the engines swiveled with VTOL instead of landing gear, and it is also a pretty big profile. I'd recommend the Arrow, it has more dps than the Gladius currently. And more responsive pitch/yaw jerk profile, so it can apply that dps great. It also has very small profile and good and responsive strafe.

    • @etogreen
      @etogreen 2 роки тому

      You can always earn rec in multiplayer swarm modes in AC, and use it to rent the ships in AC and try them out. It's better if you have someone you can do the games with, so your not waiting forever for a player to join.
