So many of them do that. They always feel like they have to "win" the call by claiming they knew. Sure, you knew he was scambaiting you and then you stayed on the phone with him for five hours just for giggles.
The ones that talk about "don't use your brain" and "don't get smart" make me so angry. They are literally telling their victims to shut off their common sense and follow orders blindly. Sickening.
Yep ... "don't be over-smart" and "stop using your brain" are some of the most ridiculous, stupid things these thieves say to their victims. It's hilarious to hear because it is so dumb and only an IDIOT would tell someone this. But yes, it is infuriating to think that they say this to real victims too! And of course they do ..... because if a victim DID use their brain and slow down a bit, making the scammer wait and allowing themselves to think about things a little, the scam would fail!
Scammers race through their scripts and tell their victims not to interrupt them because that way they a) can get through their stupid script without losing their place and sounding less believable, b.) are better able to confuse their victims and c.) force their victims to move along quickly before they have the chance to think about things and realize its a scam!

We have fantastic cyber tools at our disposal, it should be possible to quickly blacklist the source ip and services commiting unsolicited calls and other scams.
@iiYonko there is absolutely nothing done in my country with exception of an email you can write at.
There should be a number you could press during unsolicited calls and scam calls that would quickly stop the source server and numbers to be active on our phone lines.

Most of these buffoons want to intimidate us seniors, they feel if we can be bullied into turning over our money and make it look official they’ll get away with their scam, If Kitboga and his team didn’t take time out of their lives, many of us older folks would have been taken in by these clowns. Several of my senior friends bank accounts have been saved because of Kitboga taking time from his life to piss off these scammers and posting on UA-cam so we can learn from the clips.
you should just get like 4 or 5 scammers and put them all on the same call, and let them fight battle royale style, but put like a million in your fake bank so they stay to fight for it.

That’s why it’s so important to spread the word about these scams. If you know any elderly/vulnerable people in your family, church, neighborhood, etc. make sure to tell them about every kind of scam you can think of and especially no matter what the circumstance to never send money by gift cards, mail cash, or to anyone claiming to be from the government or a tech company

@@krishnar1182 My grandmother is thankfully wizened enough having lived in the ruthless city of Chicago that these scams won't work on her (and she doesn't use a computer anyways, but then there's scammer phone calls, too). So I'm not worried about her...currently. Should she begin to lose her memory though, that's when things really become complicated. Someone that needs adult protective services might also need to have most modern methods of communication removed to avoid them from being contacted by a scammer or indeed, a power of attorney over their money. So just notifying elders of these things might not be enough. If you know their extended family, let them know as well as they might need to be the one to step in and protect them...assuming they too aren't scumbags after the money.

People who scam elderly make me so mad and they deserve to be scammed themselves. I lived with an elder and she would get these calls so often. She saved some of her friends from getting scammed and would even prank them sometimes and we'd laugh about it when I got home. I was really impressed with the stuff she'd come up with but when she'd describe the conversation it's obvious how manipulative and abusive these people are. I felt like I had to hide my rage a bit because I didn't want to start swearing in front of someone's grandma.

It blows my mind that these scams ever work. Especially when it goes on over the course of multiple days. How is the victim supposed to send 50 grand that they don’t have? Wouldn’t the victim be able to refresh and check their accounts the next morning and see the money isn’t there. It barely even makes ANY sense
they specifically target old and technologically illiterate people.

I'm always surprised at how mean these people get. Like it doesn't blow their cover. My grandma was almost scammed once, but stopped talking to him when he got angry.
Glad she was snapped out of it, but that kind of verbal abuse is awful to see and hear secondhand from kits videos. So, to have her actually believing just hurts so much more. I hope you told her it’s not personal, and to keep her wits about her next time (cause there will be a next time). Maybe show her kits videos. That’s helped my grandparents.
My loved one was falling for the whole "we're coming to arrest you in forty minutes if you don't send us every penny you have" thing, even when they started screaming at her and calling her horrible names. She has a bad heart. When she started going into v-fib (she can feel it -- it's life threatening), she came running down the stairs to my living space, sobbing and gasping for breath asking me what to do and that she couldn't do what they were asking, she needed to tend to her heart rhythm before she dropped. I asked probably two or three questions and recognized immediately what was happening, told her it was a scam, but had her sit and breathe and also play along in the background as I took over the call and baited the idiot for 45 minutes, most of which was giving him like twenty invalid card numbers, haha. He was almost crying by the time I asked him where the police were because it had already been more than forty minutes. Then pretty much overdosed him on obscenities and told him where to shove it. He almost killed her, you know? 😔 these people have no souls.
Mine was almost too, but luckily, she lives nearby and any time something sketch popped up on her computer she'd immediately call me. She got a call from a scammer once and trolled him hard. I was so proud. He tried to tell her that her "grandson" was in jail and needed to be bailed out. She had 6 kids who ALL had kids and 8 of them are boys, in different states. She kept asking him "which one?" and "what state?" he just kept pushing, "your grandson!" She didn't give any names or say how many she has. Threw him off HARD. I laughed so hard when she told me about the call. She knew it was fraud but just wanted to fuck with him. 87 yr old troll. Loved it.
This one was shocking. I've seen alot of them be evil, but the rage in his voice at bullying what he thinks is a defenseless old man is sick. Wtf is wrong with these people? Hearing that other guy scream back at the scammer was great, you can tell it scared him. He shut his mouth real quick when his customer "his own age" turns the rage back on him. Coward and a bully. It's amazing how so many of them are abusive pieces of crap (maybe they think they are acting assertive), and when they don't get their way they go mental as if you have personally wronged them by not falling for their scam.
I get quite a few of these calls in Australia. It's basically at the point where if you hear an Indian accent on the line, it's a scammer. I really don't want to assume all Indians are scammers, but I have a hard time trusting them, which really sucks since my primary doctor for the last 10+ years is Indian.
