I like stone cards as a soft card remove, because all jokers that require certain cards in hand its the same as just removing the card. For example, chalkboard still works, and the card that gives a mult based on the lowest card number in hand skips stones.

Does chalkboard really works tho? The wording says specifically spades and clubs in hand and tho stone cards aren't diamonds or hearts they're not clubs or spades either

@@gravitysword2002i think the game considers it more of an outside entity and isnt counted in the mult similar to how OP pointed out raised fist isnt affected by stone card. However since stone card is +50, it may work but it is just always the highest card in hand

@@gravitysword2002 At least chalkboard doesn't work with debuffed clubs and spades. Not sure about stone cards, but I suspect i doesn't work

Chalkboard does not work with stone cards in hand I have fell victim to this multiple times forgetting that.

the first arcana you got was death, which is one of the like 2 cards that can help you get more stones, and you sold it
you also sold a gold card tarot for $2 after a round where you could've used it for $3

Why make a card gold and get $3 and potentially more money when you could just sell the demon for $2 in the shop afterwards.
Granted he didn’t need it but it kinda irks me lol

I think the Astronomer joker is overvalued by the game, but it does have a place if you're rerolling a fair bit as you can buy and sell the planet cards you get as a form of money generation instead of just taking it as useful for actually playing planet cards. Still pretty bad tho

Yeah, I’ve had a successful Astronomer run but it was a yellow deck with a ton of cash flow, and needing a truckload of cash is a pretty hard condition to meet for a joker to be good. It was more of a successful run that happened to be using Astronomer

I watched my friend do a nonseeded abandoned deck stone highcard run. He had blueprint on stone joker to get double stone every match and then move it to copy Ride the Bus

Funny little detail, the stone cards do have suits and values. You can see them if you convert them into a bonus card through a tarot.

Or, more accurately, they revert to the value they originally had when modified in that way (bonus, strength, wild, mult, etc).
(Or you can think of it as retaining suit and value info and the stone part as a modifier. Idk.)
