- Balatro Part 7 - Balatro comes out in four days, so let's do one last demo run for old time's sake! This time, I get a crazy high score with a single card, but it doesn't start off with that in mind. Just goes to show how crazy this game can get.

Psychologically "number go up" has proved itself to be a good tactic for making something fun for gamer. Vampire survivors with basically no graphics and being a bullet hell makes you play a lot because DAMAGE GO UP, a poker roguelike makes you play because CHIPS GO FLAME, Warframe makes people play for years because LOOT AMOUNT AND DAMAGE GO UP.
Idle games are literally designed around this philosophy as well
Well there's a bit more to warframe especially than just "number go up."
@@CowKirbo Oh brother but there's also so much "number go up". In builds, in hours spent in mission, in relics cracked, in plat traded, in resources dropped etc.
I of course wasn't playing every day of every week but I've had the game for years.
@danser_theplayer01 you're right a portion is definitely number go up. Same with any looter shooter.

That run scaled so much that I don't think it was possible to lose after a while. Amazing.

Baseball card is a passive buff, you can place it anywhere and it the same way has polychrome affects the uncommon jokers
Took until the very end to realize he was screwing up his joker order
less screwing up, moreso not realising that THAT Joker works regardless of order.
He simply didn't realize that the Baseball Card joker applies its multiplier when the uncommon joker triggers, instead of triggering itself.
Honest mistake to make, I think it took me a while too
is the only benefit from its position then because it procs twice from being leftmost?
@@codesymphonycompletely unrelated but any idea where the word ‘procs’ comes from. I know what it means, but it just looks like it’s short for something and I don’t know what.

I think the fact that ramen looses only 0.01 multiplier per card discarded (which means it would take like 100 cards discarded to make it do nothing at all) should've made you think twice about it persisting between rounds
Really happy to see this game return, easily one of my favorites last year.

You could afford to skip because of the skip mult joker, where the 2 played hands give +4 mult, the skip joker gives +25% mult, which is +5 at the stage you were at for the card and extra for the inherent mult present...

The red is way bigger than the blue because of multiplication, which commutes, so you have to consider the red and blue before the mult multipliers are applied (I.E. only after the pants are applied)
Hello. I was wondering if you have played murder by numbers. It has nonogram-style logic puzzles that you like but it is also kind of a detective visual novel with a good story I may add so idk if you would like it.

I absolutely LOVE balatro. So don't see this as trying to get you to play a different game.
But PLEASE continue the backpack hero series. I love it so much.
I enjoy watching this game despite having absolutely no clue whats going on.
I would love to see this run redone in the full game. I know they have seeds, so going through and doing the same exact things. Unless the full release mixed it up somehow
My only issue with this game is the runs end too soon lol. Hopefully in the full release they extend and add more levels, or maybe a procedural "endless mode"

One issue I have with this game is that it gets a bit boring just seeing you go for full houses most of the time (especially earlygame), it scores high since its one of the rarest hands but going for straights and flushes sucks bc u reroll random cards, while for full house if you miss u still have 2 pair which is fine. Idk if there's anything to be done to change it but just something I've noticed.
i think its just a difference in playstyle lol, i never got full house to work, but have gotten loads of success for straight & flush builds. even moreso in this version due to the "shortcut" joker being insane for straights and 4 new jokers scaling really well with flush.

With the copy tag deck, I managed to get high card's level to 13 (stacking copy tags on a single orbital tag) and it gave me a comically large multiplier with my other jokers in play. i love this game so much
