- Balatro Part 11 - out of the blue, I come across a run that I think would work if I never have more than one joker at any point in time. If I win, I'm taking this to endless mode to see how long one joker can really last.

Usually i don’t like watching live stream VODs because it feels like i missed out on chatting and such, but i actually really enjoyed watching the VOD for your balatro streams

Note that the scores in endless mode scale double-exponentially. Ante 39 is the highest reachable ante, since the score requirement becomes infinite.
Fun fact, the blank voucher actually does do something, you just have to buy it 10 different times, then it’s effect activates! It doesn’t have to be bought all in one game, don’t worry! :)

just on the general shop can have indestructible jokers difficulty it can be really nice, i had a pretty deep endless run just buying indestructible jokers and having madness

the funny thing is that on higher stakes painted deck is arguably among the best, because that extra hand size helps WONDERS and most high stakes runs end before even reaching max jokers so it isn't really much of a downside
@@oblivi8games808 It also feels like late-game, hand size is more limited than negative jokers. You only get two vouchers to permanently increase hand size, and a couple jokers that take up slots/lose value.

It would have to also nerf the mult of the glass cards if so.
Removing it outright seems OP, but reducing the chance would be cool. Like, instead of 1 in 4 it's 1 in 5 or 1 in 10 or something

Hey, thanks for introducing me to Balatro! I watched your videos, got addicted to the demo and now I'm addicted to the full game.
Personally I think you're undervaluing standard packs and the "more common foils/holos/polys" voucher. You might not be able to get foil/holo/poly JOKERS with this build, but you can still pick up some amazing cards in the standard pack more easily than you can make them yourself, like a poly red seal glass card. I love standard packs in flush builds. Also, since Madness only destroys one joker per blind, you actually might have been able to make something work with the Riff-Raff Joker that spawns two common jokers whenever you enter the blind. But hey, can't argue with the end results! 59 million is a hell of a hand!
doesn’t hone only affect odds of jokers (nevermind you are right)? standard packs are decent and all but extra editions on them aren’t completely necessary unless you are able to consistently pick them up
also, riff raff could be destroyed by madness at any point killing the joker source, plus they’re only temporary common jokers at best anyway

It pained me to see Tyler hunting for purple seal while using up the last discard. You need to discard it in order to get the tarot card so if you burn up all your discards searching for it you can't then use it, you have to save one discard so that you can use it in order to get its effect.
And also those two rounds searching for the purple without the extra discard he always could have afforded.
Don't worry he picked up on this later on (yes I watched the stream)
@@invention64He was doing money-management I think it was fine not taking the plus 1 discard voucher given there are multiple tarots that wouldn't have netted him much benefit anyways.

if you buy 10 blank vouchers, you get an antimatter voucher which gives you a free joker slot
also, blank voucher purchases are tracked between runs

PS: Madness is CRACKED while you're on the Black stake, since it still gains the multiplier and DOESN'T destroy Eternal cards.
PPS: Checkered is one of my favorite decks, and it has some amazing potential if you unlock the tribe (The Flush Multiplier), and it works great with Blackboard.

My first checkered deck run I had the 4 Card Flush/Straight Joker, the Shortcut skip numbers for a straight Joker, and the Joker who's multiplier increases with Tarot card use, as well as some others for making money. I also got the 1 in 4 chance to level up the had you're playing Joker later on
Every hand was Straight Flush, and I got Straight Flush up over lv 30.
I think I lost on the big boss at ante 11.
For Checkered Deck, Straight Flushes (including the almighty Royal Flush) are actually fairly viable, oh, and note that Straights and Flushes are similar to Full Houses in terms of expected scoring when all are lv1.

I honestly thought I wouldn't like this game because I ain't a fan of having to do a lot of maths in games because I play games so I don't have to think too much, but I have been loving this game. Still have yet to win a run, but it's still really fun.

So on purple difficulty. You can get eternal jokers (meaning they can't be destroyed). Run it on hex deck. Get a hexed madness. Ahnk it, then fish for eternal blueprint, or napkin and you vibn

I feel like it's technically possible if you get 5 of a kind flush glass cards with red seal and you keep upgrading the hand

"I don't like slow runs into endless" Tyler, have you seen "the infinite point hand" by Skootie (ft. Balatro University)? The deck is literally farming Cryptids for Red Seal Steel King for like a lot of time and the final hand was slow enough to make a podcast and run out of themes

Not sure if you know this but deathing a card into a purple sealed card makes the other card purple sealed. Which then makes it easier to get deaths
