Hoping to see more videos with more repairs and just knowledge of how to do things, I am so glad I seen this because until now I how know how to change mine !! I appreciate it and will be looking forward to videos!
Right on!! I will try to keep content coming but with my travels to Japan my videos will be delayed for a few weeks.
Thank you,
Manny's tuning!
Damn bro you strong removed those lug nuttz by hand oh he strong lol
Just a little elbow grease does the trick 😜
Forgot the backing plate install before bearing install 😅 good job tho . Thanks for video ❤
I Purposely removed it.
Ayeee, thanks for the nice walkthrough!
Yeeeaahhhh!
thanks for the tutorial. can't wait till you make the video to show how to do the drivers side. I at least have 1 good rear bearing for now
Yesssiir!!!
I will try it sometime this weekend, hope mine comes out without any fuss, I'll still rent a hub puller to be safe
I would totally recommend to get a tool to rent as my car has been a california car with little to no rust and everything comes off easy like it should.
@@manuelalmaguer123 Lucky! Mine's the complete opposite, the roads are nuked with salt here in Newfoundland. Before the winter arrives, I am going to try to go through every rust spot underneath the car and get it converted and repainted, likely the same with the suspension components as well. Wish the car I got was taken care of more
@@manuelalmaguer123 Also do you think I could use synthetic silicone brake lub? The one in particular is the kleen flo ez slide brake lube, saves me from buying another one
@@sharifsircar well I would recommend to use a synthetic grease to coat the axle and be sure to clean it off completely. You'll probably want a penetrate for the rust like wd-40, pb blaster, or similar product to help with removal.
@@manuelalmaguer123 Yep that's synthetic, I do that before I get at any bolt on this car lol. Thank you for the quick response!
Thank you for the video!
I am unable to remove the 2 rotor bits due heavy corrosion and screw head damage from previous mechanic?, is it possible to remove the center cap before removing the rotor so I can remove it all as an assembly? Thank you!!!
7:19 I should call her
Lmao
Im trying to replace my hub on my 97 prelude but our hubs look a lot different how would i take mine off? Yours looks a lot a lot easier
The rear hubs are very simple to do as shown in the video. The front hubs are a little more demanding due to needing a press and removing the whole knuckle.
The preludes are all universal to this video for 97-01 u.s. spec and 96-01 Japanese spec.
Thank you,
Manny's tuning.
You didn’t zoom in to the notch in the axle nut , so I’m assuming you don’t need to unbend it to removed the axle nut
Front ?
What brand did you use for a replacement ?
For the time being, I went with an oreillys brand.
Hey brother, What was the reason for you replacing the wheel hub/bearing assembly? My tire (doesn’t have any bulges and all my suspension seems to be tight and in place) is wobbling crazy and im trying to figure out why..
I replaced them because I had vibration from the rear and the hub was due for replacement. It's good maintenance to do regardless.
@@manuelalmaguer123 thanks man, I appreciate it.
I have the same car, but sliding the new hub on, it definitely doesn't go on as smooth as yours. Am i doing something wrong? my auto parts store are assuring this is 100% the correct hub for my vehicle.
Did you use the grease and clean the axle completely from any debris?
HI Manny. I have a bb6 that i want to turbo upto 700 HP. In your video you dont state the stages that you went through to make this motor happen. I would like to know who you went through for the engine build. Thanks Andrew
Ericks racing originally built this engine in Baldwin park, California, I can make a video of how and what has gone into this build in a few days.
Do you have an ig? I wanted to ask some questions about the hub removal
