Fire destroys home in Aberdeen

A home was destroyed following a housefire in an Aberdeen subdivision on Sunday afternoon. The initial call, which came in shortly before 1 p.m., reported that the deck off of the back of a home off Camberly Lane was on fire.
The occupants and their dog were able to safely evacuate the home.
Multiple fire units from across the county responded to the scene and immediately began an attack on the fire. The first fire crews on the scene reported heavy smoke and flames showing at the rear of the home that had spread to the roof.
However, the fire quickly spread throughout the home. By the time the fire was extinguished, the home was a total loss.
