This was a clear-cut case for using a master stream. This wasn't just a car fire; this was the equivalent of a couple of small semi trucks going up with multiple exposures. Good for the LAFD for busting out the deck gun here - it knocked the fire down in under a minute.

Spent some time living in a Transit Van and for those asking how they both caught fire....my guess is they were sharing 1 or more extension cords and that spread from 1 the other. I've seen quite a few people's homes(rv's) go up like this and it's said. Usually from a faulty heater or wiring that's old. They burn so fast that even if FD gets on scene within 2 mins the RV is gone

I never understood why we don't have hose reels on our rigs here where you could get some water on a fire in seconds while the rest of the guys wait until the place is burned to the ground before they get water on it. If you watch enough US fire videos, you'll see time and again a small fire that could be attacked upon arrival if they were so equipped that could be greatly mitigated while the hoses get up and running. It's infuriating. That deck gun was a great help in this case.

The Homeless have mismanaged their lives. The very first thing is to learn the "Responsibilities of Adult Living". Life is the Hardest most Painful thing that will ever happen to any of us. The best that we can hope for is to "Die in our sleep". The hardest part of life is being ridiculed for 50 years for working hard and being responsible only to have your success reduced to "You got Lucky". I'm not where I am because I got lucky. I'm where I'm at because I kept getting up no matter how shitty life was. Nobody cares if you're happy, only if you can meet your responsibilities.
