I know Bob personally. He is a legend. He is also such a genuinely down to earth guy. He asked my favorite song that he wrote, and he was floored when I told him it was his song called " By the River ". It is something I have played for my young great nephew that I have raised since he was 5. Bob is a goid man, I think of him as a friend, his wife Juanita is so sweet as well.

One of the greatest singer songwriters of all-time no question about it 🎙😎 Saw Bob and The Silver Bullet band in the early 80s. It's still one of the best concerts that I've ever seen ✌️🙂
Bob's cover of Nutbush City Limits on Live Bullet.. unbelievably fire 🔥 I don’t usually favor live versions but it's a total banger. Bob live is greatness personified, hard to think of a better live performer
I first heard this song at the end of the movie "Mask" with Cher and Sam Elliot. I was like 10 and i fell in love with it. I love seeing him performing it, the energy and passion he puts into it is perfect.
I knew your first Bob Seger video was Turn the Page. If someone had told me in 1975 we would meet here all these years later, that we would listen to songs together, celebrate them and discuss them without ever meeting in person - but with frequent meetings via computer and the Internet (WTF is that?) - we both probably would have said to that ‘someone’ “Hey, you;re crazy as a fucking loon.” Then I would have followed up with “Dig it!” I wish you could have been there with us, Biz. I am happy we can do this here my friend. Thank you for all you contribute via your YT channel. More succinctly: dig it.
Bob Seger ♥️🎤 I’ve seen him 3 different times and each show was absolutely amazing 🔥🎶🎸🎤 I always classified him under “Feel Good Music” ♥️ A true legend!! Great song, great reaction 👍🏼
Bob knows how to tell a story and his penmanship is outstanding as you know!!!! Thanks for this for my Saturday afternoon!!!! It’s just what the doctor ordered with a side of Turn The Page. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ So says Austin Tx!!! 😎🍸 I was here!!!
Brother, this song makes me cry, its so badass. Its one of those tunes that you close your eyes, open your ears and let this man take you ro a whole nother place.
My wife recently turned 60 years old. Definitely one of those milestone birthdays that makes you realize how fast life goes by. I gave her birthday presents, but when we were driving in the car I played the song "Even Now" by Bob Seger and told her that I wish I had written it because the lyrics of that song are how I feel about her that day when she turned 60. I played the song in the car as we drove through the mountains of New Hampshire. 3/4 of the way through the song I looked over and she had tears streaming down her cheeks. Bob Seger's lyrics are so emotional. It was a great moment for me and my wife. Listen to "Even Now" and make sure to have the lyrics nearby.
Awesome choice, Biz. This is one of my favorite songs of all time by anybody bar none. Gives me those good goosebumps. Next check out Bob 's Traveling Man / Beautiful Loser from the Lve Bullet album. It'll impress the you know what out of you. Look forward to your review, and thanks for all you do.
Every bit of Live Bullet has aged well IMHO. I’ve only seen him once live but it was in the middle of the Live Bullet craze, late 1975 opening for another band with a live album that would endure: KISS - Alive. My $5.50 ticket included parking!
Love, love, love everything Bob does. He is a great musician/songwriter and an all around good guy. He has done a lot for auto workers in his home state Michigan. Thanks for the great reaction. 👏👏👏🥰
For the old fans of Bob ... this was his last Best song....he has so many....if you want to jam listen to..Nine to night and live bullet.. those are live albums.. fantastic funk....
Excellent performance by Bob & band. I really enjoyed this song and his lyrics touched something deep down. When my brother in law graduated college, before he had to find work, He made a motorcycle trip from Fla home, across the country to Calif and up to Washington, then crossed back the northern route to visit us in Maine, before heading back to Fla. Said it was an amazing experience, but he said he would never do it again by bike - sore body after- LOL!
that Turn The PAge you reference says 1973 because that is when original came out but the live version you like is from 75 or 76 off the Live Bullitt album
I’ve heard a lot of people refer to Bob Seger’s type of music as heartland rock, and think that’s the best name for it. I would also include John Mellencamp in this category.
I agree, not a hard rocker but a rocker in the same vein as, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty. Add The Eagles and Mitch Rider. Have you done Rambling Gambling Man yet?
Seger has 3 time periods. Pre Bullet band - Prime with Bullit band and last part of career with bullit band. All 3 are amazing but Nobody reacts to the pre bullit stuff and man are they missing out!!! "Leanin on My Dream" "River Deep, Mountain High" (Tina Turner cover) "Turn on Your Love Light" "Bo Diddley" from Smokin OP'S "2 + 2 = ?" "White Wall" .... these are some acid rock raw rock 70's funk . Even a lot of big Seger fans don't know these songs but sure as hell should!! Seger is a true rock god and there is No performer ever like him!!
He recorded in muscle Shoals at the muscle Shoals sound studio with the legendary swampers as his producers and backing band for the first five years of his career and 50% of the next five years they were the ones that brought them good time rock ‘n’ roll once you understand that you can hear the swampers through all his music they were the same musicians that played on Aretha Franklin’s hits and 95 other gold and platinum hits and eight Grammy awards
@@hunter1961100 no he didn't use those guys until later in his career Glenn Frey was in one of Seeger's original bands when ramblin gamblin Man album came out. Then he played with a couple of guys that were okay and decent but that he met up with David t and vanwinkle and that changed the backbone of the band then he started the silver bullet band which really started forming in like 1969 70 and then he would blend the albums between the silver bullet band and muscle shoals.

Very few song writers can tell a story like Bob does. Paul Simon and Billy Joel are the only others I'd put in this category. Thanks bro
The Boss does too.
