Orion Conspiracy (PC DOS) longplay

- P&C adventure in a space station, developed by Divide By Zero and released in 1995.
Orion Conspiracy was released after Guilty and before The Gene Machine. Compared to Guilty, UI is patched. What I like most about this game is the attempt at character oriented approach. More conversations with characters and not as much flying around in different environments to solve meaningless item puzzles. Worst thing is the most overused and hence boring (murder mystery) adventure game plot. Throw aliens in the mix to justify "suspense" and "action", when most of the game loops same gray corridors over and over and over... - Ігри
I remember many years ago I saw a flyer of this game and was fascinated by the screenshots and it even looks good today!
I love your channel! How is it possible that you are always uploading games that I've never heard of? And I know a LOT of ms-dos games!
+theflep Thanks! I've finished most of the well known adventure games before myself so checking underdogs and what I've missed :)
The setting and tone makes me think that Yahtzee Croshaw had more than a sideways glance at this when making 7 Days a Skeptic.
I was pretty startled when I heard the first "Fuck" in this. Surprisingly mature themes for a point-and-click in 95, even having every racial slur said once.
Good variety of characters. I'm guessing the whodunnit would've felt bigger if one were to play the game blind. Damn shame it went all Indigo Prophecy with the alien twist 2/3rds in.

Most dramatic pause in history.
lol
lol
This has to be the weirdest depiction of the future I've ever seen. Discrimination and intolerance in space!
First adventure game ive seen that has excessive curseing blood love it
Indeed this piece of shit is fucking gold this motherfucking asswoop of a cock game its perfect.
I have to commend you on your stamina for sitting through this, +einokeino303. Ouch.
I wonder who the fourth Xeno was that was apparently stowed away on the shuttle at the end, according to Devlin's Story: "wait, what is that horrible grating sound in the back of the Shuttle. Unbeliev//////////////"
I never seen this cool game before.
This game is great, like you're visting Weyland Yutani.
I wonder though, La Paz being pregnant by Lowe which could have been a xenomorph when they made out.
Goddamn the dialogue in this game is Wildin
Cool story, game would only be about 1/3 of the length if it wasnt for all the corridor walking. Most of this voice acting was really bad but there were some good moments, quite abit of gore too actually, for a game this old.
I miss the point/click games. This one was good. Besides the Police Quest and Space Quest franchise; there was another good one. Have you heard of Future Wars: Time Travellers?
Sure,, I finished it on Amiga with a walkthrough back in the days
haha me too. Loved the Monks lol. Both that game and this game is rare. Wish they were remade. I'd buy them instantly on Steam. When I saw the Police Quest Collection on Steam; I got it immediately.
You can get lots of p&c adventure games from GOG, Those are preconfigured for DOSBox and ready to play DRM free. They don't seem to have Future Wars or Orion Conspiracy though, but you can get classics like The Dig and Loom from there. Beneath a Steel Sky is available for free.
einokeino303 I check GOG periodically. Geez, I miss Orion Conspiracy and Future Wars. I also was looking for Sim Tower as well. All 3 are not on GOG.
What is your job?
So this is where Robot Chicken got their voice acting from?
so what actually is the conspiracy in this game, can someone spoiler it for me :)? I don't feel ready to watch this
Mogami-Hudson (basically the Weyland-Yutani of this universe) made a pact with a Xenomorph (hundreds of them cocooned in the station asteroid) to exchange control of the station from Kobayashi Corporation, for Xeno's million year old technology. The plan backfired, the Xenomorphs nearly killed them all, Mogami-Hudson lost control, turns out Lowe, Waterman, and Chu were Xenomorphs, and the station eventually explodes. McCormick, LaPaz, and Meyer escape but apparently there was a fourth Xeno stowed away on the escape shuttle which off-screen likely kills them all. This game could easily be made into a film or even a single season TV series.
Wow, amazing @@Solarnova thanks

Can you turn off the voice acting in this game?
Oh the horror of awful voice acting! It's just as awful as I remembered.
hurist “I was FUCKIN’ busy, okay!?”
