Wow.. I have a situation with a man who I have strong feelings for. I became anxious and needy and it turned him off. But he still reaches out to me often. But I felt that it was time to create space before things got worse. And to also build myself. I decided to step away from him but was confused about how to deal with him without seeming bitter. I was thinking no contact was the way to go. But my intuition was telling me not to reach out but to respond to him with kindness instead. I'm glad I found this video. It's confirmation that what I'm doing makes sense and is definitly a positive way of allowing him the space he needs to gain control and have peace. Finally I found some videos about my situation. I totally get this now. I wish you success. I have been watching all your videos after watching another relationship expert and im glad I found this point of view. Because I do have to contact my ex and the circumstances are that she is unable to communicate without a functioning phone and her family doesn't want me to talk with her. Her mother I mean. But my gf loves me and I've been pushy, beggy, desperate, but now that I am calming down she is contacting me with how are you and she doesn't talk about her whole day. "Just here with my brothers and watching tv tired and lost my job and my phone", so when she contacts me its a rare occasion whether she's telling the truth or not making effort to speak to me or the opposite she is making effort and its that serious over there then all I can do is portray my current progress positively have her smile and laugh and then she disappears again for a day or days. I know what I have to do for me but this communication thing is a big problem for me. Could we have more examples and topics regarding radio silece communication topics and categories?.
Ps: we lived together for 11 months and she left me for being dramatic and jealous we had altercations m we both accept blame for but she left living with me to her overprotective mother. She's doing it for her love for her younger two siblings because they lived in an abusive house hold with her mothers relationship choices. Now she has no job, no phone, overbearing mom, and we barely talk. I am not sure what to do other than continuing to progress. But I want examples of how to reply to her.

I love your advice!! I’ve never been a fan of no contact becauze A) I wouldn’t want to hurt someone’s feelings and B) I’m clearly needy sometimes and get hurt easily. However, I’m ready to step into my authentic self and be the best me I can be. I’m not sure what my ex partner has on his mind during this time but I know I would never want to hurt him and I know he didn’t mean to hurt me. Hopefully this can be resolved and we can go back to madly falling in love. And if not, I’ve gained some amazing wisdom. But I really don’t want to think it won’t work out.

I VERY rarely post on social medias, but now I want to start showing my active, social and positive lifestyle.. I'm not too keen about selfies, so I usually just shoot non-selfies.. I look better in the real world than in photos, ha ha.. 😎😜 Does it matter to post selfies, or is it enough to post photos from my activities or the nature I experience combined with funny and positive comments about what I experience..? This is the 2nd tym im trying this and i can attest it does work...bt if you do whatever is needed of you...i let myself hurt after the breakup,dealt with my neediness and clingyness...and i challenged myself to try and be better...now my ex has come back but i realised that what changed the most was me.To know that i can be happy on my own regardless of his presence was empowering.Now im much more confident,independent,free and happy. The no contract rule should be about you just use him as motivation to be better.

How to react if we get a pointless text after nearly three months NC.
My ex texted me 3 times after we broke up.
2 weeks after the breakup, the next 1 week, and the next 2 weeks (yesterday).
I always replied (shortly but kind) for showing that I'm not bothered with madness anymore. But I never asking back..
however, he always ended up leaving the last bar of message over me.. until the last text yesterday, I only replied one bar, and stopped. I left the last message to him.
All that comes in my mind is like, what does he want? Why does he keep texting me, and just leave the text over me?

How long should a NC period be? It has been over one month since the break up. We have a child together and were together for 16 years. My ex constantly comes back and uses our daughter to get reactions out of me during no contact which usually works. Even went to extremes by taking her to the hospital and having me leave work, just to get my attention. Me and my ex wife have been together for 22 before are divorce. During the 22 years she left me four times before the divorce. And then after the divorce she wanted to come back. I was hesitant but I did take her back, and now 5 years later after the divorce and she came back she has left me yet again. After she swore to me it would never happen again. After two weeks no contact, his co worker let’s my ex know that he is on promotion board with me. My ex then contacts me wishing me luck. I reply, we exchange couple more text with me doing last reply. The day of promotion, he wishes me luck again, after a few hours and after my promotion board, I texted him saying it went well and I got the promotion! He said he is really proud of me! He knew that I could do it, and that it was awesome! I want to remain or be in control from this point right? So do i reply back? Or do you really respond back to that?
I have rage issues due to super abusive childhood which has left me insecure. I have worked a lot in the past when the relationship before the one I am mentioning here went extremely sour, and when I entered into this relationship I promised to be a good, kind and loving person. But three months in the relationship, he cheated on me and all the work I had done in the therapy before, went in vain. It made me what I was before, made me extremely controlling and during relationship, I did terrible things to control him so that I don't lose him, to get his attention, and I was seriously obsessed and fixated on his chemistry with ex and did terrible things so that he does not talk to his ex, have lied to get his empathy, have manipulated and used his vulnerabilities during fights. Of course he dumped me and his family and friends hates me, I am into therapy and have worked so much on me. I really wish to have him back as I love him deeply and to show how much he means to me and how I will not repeat what I did in the past. Do you think I can salvage this?
Things I did-
Snooped on his texts and blocked his exes on his phone due to my obsession
I posted horrible things on Facebook about him to catfish his ex as I found out they were bitching about me, when we were together
Threatened to broke up on the day his dad died--- It was out of rage, as he screamed in front of the whole bus to not poke my nose in his business, when I was advising him about his work
During a fight, I threatened to go call the police for domestic abuse as he said some pretty horrible things which led to my anxiety attack and once I am anxious I do anything and everything to protect myself, as a part of my defense
Fought horribly with him after his mom died as I was not allowed to attend the funeral but his ex was--- and it was hurting my ego
Said stupid things to get his attention, which I meant none.
I have lied so much about so many things to keep him as long as I can and other times I have threatened him so that he will be around me.
I have done things that made him loose his job
He dumped me but we were still living together as I did not wanted to move out and end it or did not wanted him to move out either. I have read his messages and know that his family calls me abusive, controlling, manipulator and liars and they would call and text him to move out of the apartment and away from me as soon as possible. I tried to stretch out the living situation as much as I could. He was frustrated and will have fights every other day as he wanted me gone, and I was not ready. Eventually I did after 3 months. The times when we were living together after the breakup, he would be nice one day and we will fight the next day and so on. I was a terrible roommate, and will never clean up after myself. But we still use to be physically intimate even when he wanted me to be out of his life.
I know I am a terrible person, and I am no more afraid to be judged. I can't explain people why I am the way I am and what I have endured growing up to be a person I am today. But i don't want to be this person and so I am doing intensive therapy. I am doing it for my own development and to be a kind and loving person, that my ex can love. I want to know from you coaches, have I done enough already to damage it for ever?

That’s a great theory but one question what if I did all this ! And my ex she didn’t belive me or trust me so I think I need coaching session , I want my ex back but I would like to get beat version of me for me too be happy and my ex to be happy even if it not with me !

My ex contacted me 15 years later! She emailed me. Thank God I was over her. I had cried every single day for a year when she dumped me out of the blue. She was my only lesbian relationship. Since I wasn’t interested even in friendship, and I didn’t feel she had treated me right back in the day, i ignored her after the initial hello.

Hello, I tried your metod but id didn't work out as planned. My EX probably thought that im not interested in her anymore and started dating another guy. Which planned all this long time ago, filling her mind with bat things like we ar not ment for each other, im that and that and doesn't deserve her etc. He's an expert, started as a dependable friend she can open to and made it all the way through. I still love her and it will probably take a long time to get over this but I'll try my best. Thank you for your videos they helped me a lot.

Does no contact help to have back just only a friend ? So, a friend of me and I, had a conflict. He is only a friend of me, that always liked my friendship and always liked to write me. I know him since 2 Years, through same friends. Because he is 8 years yonger than me and leaves in distance from me, I told him not to pretend more than friendship. I am 41, and he 33 years old. He was ok with that, more because of the distance ( he wrote, he finds me very attractive and an interessant person, he does not care about the age, but for him is only the distance a problem).
Before a month I visited a friend of me, woman, that leaves in his city, she is 30 years old. He also met her. At first, I was ok with that, it was my idea, that they also can become friends, because I thought she could know through him also some other people. But after that, he had a crush on her. After I was back, they met sometimes, and he told her, that he likes her very much. My girlfriend told me always when she met him, they had a very good time, every time they met. I can imagine, I also have always fun with each of them. They are both interessant persons. In fact, I became jalous, because I could imagine. But he never mentioned to me, that he met with her. I wondered so much, he didn't tell me, I thought there is nothing to hide from me, it was my idea, for them to meet. So, hiding me that, made me angry about him and I wrote him, I don't like, he does not tell me about meeting her, that our contact has changed, and having contact with him, is not anymore something special for me. My friend,the woman, told him, she does not want more than being friends with him, she made him no hopes for more. Now 20 days has gone that he in the same day did not become hopes from my friend, but also I broke the contact to him. He wrote me back, he could understand my reaction and that he is sorry, that through his behaviour, he brought the Situation to such a point.
I did not write him back. That was the last we wrote. But now, sometimes I think I feel something for him. I became jealous, I did not think, I would become jealous about him. I miss it now to hear something from him.
