It is what a typical ex does. When you block or deactivate it is seen as the sign of you being in a weaker position, still pining for them. When you do absolutely nothing - just don’t post anything, they will scratch their head.
@@taliatut Suppose it depends who dumped who. If the dumper likes to keep tabs on you after the breakup then that's a sign of regret but if your nowhere to be found then it will create more separation anxiety and she or he would be more likely to reach out sooner.

We understood us during my relationship really well but I wouldn't have called that "relationship" as friendship. more like "we know each other really well" or something like that. She's trying to get a reaction out of you. She wanted you to get your attention. It's my experience, at least with my ex, that they leave one channel of communication open for you to reach out to. Depending on what she texted, it was most likely a breadcrumb.

She DM’d me 2 weeks after the breakup saying she still has a hammer that I left at her place lol. I answered a few days later telling her to keep it. Then she asked “how am I doing?”. I just told her I’m good, and about to go play basketball. She liked the message then poof. That was a month ago now. Like what was the point of that?
She was reaching out to check your level of interest in her. You brutally slammed the door on her face with your response. She has not reached out as she felt you were no longer interested, judging from your response.

It's a hard line to tread, I'm doing it myself right now so I know your pain. Not too hot, not too cold. I think its key to understand that with an ex, there's an emotional trigger for every behaviour the show you (silence included), as it's an emotional situation. Unless you have kids together or something and it's purely a logical message about scheduling etc, try and think what the emotional cause for her actions are, rather than trying to apply logic, coz we all know they aint logical lol. It was shortly after she dumped me, so a part of me did want to kind of put er in her place.
