  • In this weeks video I am going to be build reviewing the Airfix 1:72nd scale Junkers Ju 87 also know as the Stuka dive bomber
A terror weapon of Germanys WW2 blitz the Stuka was a formidable ground attack dive bomber. But when it came up against more nimble fighters like the Hurricane and Spitfire it was out matched and lost its edge as the war progressed.
The Airfix kit that I am building in this video is the 75th anniversary of the battle of Britain kit, making this kit 15 years old at the time of making this video. This means that this kit is pre dates all of airfixs nice retooling efforts.
And you can tell, there is a bit more flash on this model, and some of the parts dont go together as well as they could, Also there was a strange problem with the decals for this kit. Though they where nice and thin, and moulded to the model well , the carrier film was not cut away from the decals ,this may however be an age thing and some damp has caused the decals to go off over time.
With all that said though no of these issues where a major problem, difficult to over come or took away from the enjoyment of making this model
Anyway thats my look at the 172nd scale Airfix Stuka dive bomber
As always I hope you enjoyed the video and if you are building one of these yourself at home that it gives you a good idea of what to expect from the build
Until next time look after yourself and have a good one
