Now that was spectacular... and humbling. Such care. Such precision. Courage too. Don't think I'd have the nerve to gloss and then wash like that. Guess confidence come from experience. Great video too Tom.
I am an artist who has spent his life rendering warplanes and the men that fly them. I've never done models, but after seeing the craftsmanship of this particular modeler, I am struck by what an absolute work of art this is. It is one thing to assemble and paint a model. It is quite another to turn it into the realistic work we see here. I especially loved the application of the watercolor pencils and pastel chalk. Bravo! A splendid work of art.
I really appreciate that comment, thankyou! I try to show as many steps as possible in the video but always try and keep it simple and don't be afraid to experiment first before applying to the model
Yes. Decent model at an amenably affordable price, but definitely for young eyes and hands in that scale. Watched this in my search for D or G in 1/48. Surprised by the dearth of Stukas in other than Bs in that scale. Italeri's 2010 new tool re-released with new parts as a D-5 and G-2 respectively in 2012 & 2013 and currently seems the pick from what's available in 1/48 out there so far, a bit scary really considering Italeri's market self positioning. I'll wait. Want better, and the price Italeri have pitched that kit at does them no favours.
LA MUSICA ME REMEMORA AQUELLOS TIEMPOS DE UNA ALEMANIA PODEROSA Y UNICA // SE EXPRESA EN SUS EXCELENTES AVIONES Y TODA SU MAQUINARIA DE GUERRA UNICA,,,, NO HABRA OTRA ALEMANIA IGUAL... / VIVA ALEMANIA
The way you used pastels and pencils for weathering has blown my mind, my mother used to make drawings and this made me discover I have a gold mine right here at home lol
Beats the heck out of the kits I bought in the 60's I made a G model by adding p51 drop tanks, drilling out the large end and fitting finishing nails into the hole and glueing on. I was about 14 then times have changed, although the kits back then were onlly 50 cents Great build
The rate at which kits seem to be improving is mind blowing, I want to get into scratch building a lot more and I do take a lot of joy from using an older kit.
The music in this just caused an argument in my home! 😂 I'm absolutely speechless the wife just went nuts at the first part of the video that tune 😆 thought I'd just comment on it as its absolutely bonkers lol
That was a lovely build. The music choice was sublime by the way. Since these Stuka's operated from barley improved runways, I will stuff those undercarriages with mud and grass, really dirty up the underside. I just received a 1/48 scale Tank buster for the holidays, so this video was very timely. UA-cam algorithms at work!
A beautifully painted and weather-worn Stuka.....great job...really enjoyed the build and Ludovico's music provided a pleasing background to it all 👌. All aspects are a great watch!
Great job on this! The Stuka is such a cool-looking plane, it's one of my favorites. I have a piece of one that took part in Operation Barbarossa, with some of the original yellow paint still on it.
That, my friend, is some mighty fine work. My hat's off to you. That Disruptive-Camo job you did came out great. You also get extra brownie-points for that Ludovico Einaudi track playing in the background. Einaudi is one of my favorite composers. He's right up there with multi-voice composers like Hans Zimmer and Jerry Goldsmith in my books.
Nice stuka model, my dad built a ju 87 g stuka model with the twin 37mm cannon on Eastern front like battle of Kursk, more real stukas need to be restored if possible
Great craft! Amazing! Why do you use glos varnish? Also how to make chipping effects permanent? I guess they might be wiped out, if you touch model? I’m novice
This ia a very beautiful Stuka Tom! Really enjoyed the vídeo, the soundtrack, And most of all the build! Academy does indeed great kits at a very afordable price. KUTGW
Nice build. Where do you get the painting scheme for the cockpit, as my instructions don't really give many information about it? I'm building the Academy 1/72 JU-87G-2 Stuka Kanonen Vogel.
Love your pencil use for weathering. Quicker and it looks better.
Now that was spectacular... and humbling. Such care. Such precision. Courage too. Don't think I'd have the nerve to gloss and then wash like that. Guess confidence come from experience. Great video too Tom.
I appreciate the kind words Peter! I hope you're doing well!

If you like him, take a look on Plasmo...
Astonishing artwork. Scorched and worn in battles, it looks better than the real one.
wow You are an artist thumbs up
Awesome build my friend and a lovely choice of music 🙌🙏
Dude, just wtf how is that possible, even the perfection that i imagined wasn’t as perfect as your creation
I really appreciate that comment, thankyou! I try to show as many steps as possible in the video but always try and keep it simple and don't be afraid to experiment first before applying to the model
TSYModels great to know, keep up dude u rock
Amazing build. The level of care and attention was mind blowing. Great choice of music too 😊
Amazing work at such a small scale. The glass in the gauges really blew my mind!

Awesome build. Greetings from California
some fabulous work using the photo etch.. lovely finishing too
The way you used pastels and pencils for weathering has blown my mind, my mother used to make drawings and this made me discover I have a gold mine right here at home lol
Sir I salute you on such a great build Thank you for the post
Absolutely brilliant model & video. I do remember building a similar one in the 70's made by matchbox by

After watching this I got hooked and bought this same kit.
Gut gemacht.
fantastic build, enjoyed watching
This is a beautiful build made even more beautiful by the stunning music. Thank you.
Are you on the modeller's payroll for typing some puff piece?
Amazing work, no fancy tools and still quality, very inspirational indeed😊👍

Practice Practice and lots of mess ups, I really appreciate the comment, thankyou
Yoooo the pencil for chipping effect was genius!!! I'm doing that only own stuka model no doubt, but its Zvezda snap kit
Superb build and the music is
Incredible
Nice work! I especially liked your use of the colored pencils for weathering. I have not used those yet - may need to give them a try.
Good job, looks great.
What a fantastic build, the background music is great too, thanks for sharing.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching and commenting! T
Excellent video & job building and painting your JU-87G-1 Stuka "Tank Buster"!
The music in this just caused an argument in my home! 😂 I'm absolutely speechless the wife just went nuts at the first part of the video that tune 😆 thought I'd just comment on it as its absolutely bonkers lol
What was the context?? I have to know about this! I hope I didnt cause any drama....
Very nice work.
Working on the same kit now, hope it comes out half as good as yours!

I meant barely. Barley was in their post flight beverage. :(
Amazing.
One word... Wow....
Cool video , cool music , than kyou !
Thx! I needed an example of painting technics for my stuka coming in in the mail.(This is my 5th model i ever built)

Incredible work! You sir, are an arr-teest!
Great vid, Never seen anyone use pencil or pastels for weathering, great finish. TFS "thanks for sharing" G :)
Parabéns! Excelente trabalho Camarada.
Very nice detail. Well done!
The german name for this type of the StuKa is "Kanonenvogel" what means "Cannon-bird"
Or tank buster
Nice! 👍✈️
Fantastic building and great video!
Great looking plane. Well done.
Nice result!
A beautifully painted and weather-worn Stuka.....great job...really enjoyed the build and Ludovico's music provided a pleasing background to it all 👌. All aspects are a great watch!
Something slightly eerie about the music with this build also, Im glad you noticed the music! Thank you
The Ju-87 is the best looking plane of all time. Your work is amazing. Einaudi's Nuvole Bianche makes it even better.
excellent 🔥🔥🔥
Remarkable and painstaking work.....
Nice, your video is pure art!
Great work..!
Million thanks for sharing..
What a pro
YOUR A VERY DEDICATED INDAVIDUL TOO THIS GREAT HOBBY.
that plane is just downright scary, cool and evil at the same time, and ...excellent job as usual
Wow. Just wow.
Nice! It seems you like, and are a master in 1:72nd scale
Well done, good music, good production.
Excellent Ju87 and a beautifully compiled vid
Thank you.
Great build, well done!
Great video and final result. I'm trying to improve my aircraft weathering techniques so this was really useful. Thanks!
Great music choice!
Espetacular
great build, the only critic is that the antenna mast was not inclined, cheers
Superb!
JOB WELL DONE
A true Artform doing models to this standard....😎
Great job on this! The Stuka is such a cool-looking plane, it's one of my favorites. I have a piece of one that took part in Operation Barbarossa, with some of the original yellow paint still on it.
I couldn't believe the size of it when I saw the example at the RAF museum in Hendon, UK. I certainly wouldn't want to be in-front of it!
God that sounds amazing
@@TSYModels yeah it's pretty big. The Sturmovik is bigger though, I think
Awesome build great job! Really need to get my self that pastel set - great idea for weathering!
Academy makes good models, I have several acdamy models and like all of them.
They certainly do, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box on this!
Nice job!!
great job
More videos please!!!!
The perfect model does not exi-
Excellent!
It is a good kit. Too bad academy does not make the 1/48 version.
Inspiring stuff. I particularly liked how you used pencils and pastels to great effect. A fantastic end result. Thanks for posting.
The first time I have used them too and I was really happy with the result, definitely much better than using a sponge with silver paint on.
That, my friend, is some mighty fine work. My hat's off to you. That Disruptive-Camo job you did came out great. Thankyou for the comment, yes I love Einaudi, I was fortunate enough to see him perform in Amsterdam and it was absolutely breathtaking.
I just got this plane.
Nicely done.
Nice stuka model, my dad built a ju 87 g stuka model with the twin 37mm cannon on Eastern front like battle of Kursk, more real stukas need to be restored if possible
Outstanding 👍👍
PERFEKT
Beautiful model, and model maker extraordinaire.
Great craft! Amazing!
Why do you use glos varnish?
Also how to make chipping effects permanent? I guess they might be wiped out, if you touch model? I’m novice
parabéns fantástico não tem igual muito bem feito e super detalhado o canhão voador da Alemanha lindo nota mil.
Amazing paint job on this! Love it!
This ia a very beautiful Stuka Tom! Really enjoyed the vídeo, the soundtrack, And most of all the build! Academy does indeed great kits at a very afordable price. KUTGW
Thankyou so much Alex! I really enjoy your channel also. Infact... I will go and watch some videos right now!
Perfect Build! Totaly in love😍
Thankyou so much! Slowly trying new techniques so the next one should be even better.
Awesome work my friend, you just got yourself a new subscriber😊
Yes, amazing, thx!
Great. You are a very talented Model Builder..what is the piano music about half way through? Sounds like "Hate the way you lie"
Nice build. Where do you get the painting scheme for the cockpit, as my instructions don't really give many information about it? I'm building the Academy 1/72 JU-87G-2 Stuka Kanonen Vogel.
You've gotten possibly the best videos.
A huge compliment! Thank you so much!
