- Long time no see!
Apologies for taking so long to bring you my latest build vid. The @OfficialAirfix Stuka on the face on it is an excellent model kit but as the video shows, I had real trouble with the wing assembly. I would be interested if anyone else had this issue.
Anyway, apart from that its a nice kit, quite complicated though. I wouldn't recommend this for a beginner, this kit is for an experienced modeller.
I appreciate you showing the troubles with the wing fitment. We micro engineers can fix issues, but hopefully manufacturers watch builders videos and take note. Very nice finish!
I’m still not sure it was the kit… 😧
Hello mr. Tim!awesome job done building that ww2icon.also you have done a decent paintjob.your work is a shiny beacon in the modelling world.i really was entertained a lot.i like your narration too.i usually am building Tanks after ww2.with best regards and sticky greetings from Brandenburg/germany.your fellow modellmate.christian
Hi Christian.. gotta be honest mate, the Stuka isn’t my favourite aircraft so this was a struggle. I glad you enjoyed the journey. Top lad 👍
@@TimsScaleModelling hello mr. t.gotta be honest too.its a pitty i can give only one thumb up.your work at least deserves 2 thumbs up.thats a pain in the ass.so i give my thumb up to you.with sticky greetings. Your modellmate.christian

Hi Christian, I’m glad you like it mate 😊
Just come across your channel and I must say what a great build. Also subscribed to your channel, and will be checking out more vids
Fantastic Mike, thank you ☺️
Cool weathering effects. 🛩
Cheers buddy 😃
An excellent build. It is comforting for those of us just starting out to realise that the experts have annoying fit issues as well sometimes. Happy Easter.
Cheers mate
You've got yourself a nice looking stuka there mate
😉👍
Stukas you can shove matey but a cracking job all the same.
I guess when you are dealing with hot plastic cooling and ever more (rightfully) discerning modellers nothing will ever be perfect.
I am slowly re warming to Airfix Tim. I suspect that their idea of using wing spars rather than simple plug ins does complicate things slightl, but it should produce more accurate geometry.
Nice job with the weathering. Really nice. Spent time in't desert myself and nothing stays intact for long. Interested to know pound for pound just how much sand we ate😂. Something I read recently (regarding the career of the Hurricane) touched on how badly abraded their canopies became in the sand pit, while the German canopies were of an apparently higher quality. One of my great aunts worked hand polishing gun turret Perspex (said they started quite rough) and another was machine gunned on her bike in rural Brum by a 109. Said she saw the arse holes face as he rolled out for another go....clear canopies then😳. Great job. If ever you need references for Army Air corps subject, give me a shout.
Great looking finish. I love the Camo paint job. The seats were also a nice touch.
Thank you Will. The cockpit as a whole turned out ok actually and yeah, the seats are a great addition
It's great to see another video build Tim. Really enjoyed watching and looking forward to seeing more.
That’s great, thank you Alan
The wing fit is better if you remove all paint from mating surfaces, eg the spar and inside surfaces. Even one thin coat of paint can throw the fit out. I had to sand off all the paint from the mating surfaces and the inside surfaces from my B-1 kit.
Great weathering work on this. Thanks for sharing your hard work
I found the kit hard work, which is why it’s taken so long to finish.. so thank you to you mate 👍
Brilliant mate! That's a lovely looking Stuka.......
Thanks Septic
Terrific build Tim! Always enjoy your work.
Thank you mate
Great build of a nicely detailed kit and added extras.. I haven't got this kit in the stash so can't form an opinion about it, but judging by your build, it seems to have the same good and bad sides as most of the new Airfix kits. I recently bought the OLD Airfix Stuka in 1/48 scale and it will no doubt be a less complicated build than this one, when I get round to it. I enjoyed seeing your build and the cockpit paint work shown is very useful, so thanks for that. Top effort and a beautiful model, I always like a desert scheme, well done.. :)
Thank you Rob, much appreciated mate
Excellent build son 👏
Thanks for the video, and your really nice build.
No silver/metallic chipping on prop; it's a wooden blade!
Ah!! School boy error 🤣 Thanks Joe
real Art.
👌👍
Your build video is excellent. Thank you. On the other hand, your background music is annoying.
Yes Dale I think you’re right, I did consider no music but that would have worse. Thanks for the feedback mate
🛩️🛩️🛩️🛩️🖖🤝🙏😮😮

Sorry. I was really interested in this video but had to stop watching it because of the really irritating background noise. Is there a version somewhere without the "music"?
I know it can annoying, but better than just silence imo
You can turn down the volume or mute. Wait. Surely, you know that.
That music ...SO Annoying - Detracts from what you are doing!
Totally agree but it’s that or my (even more) annoying voiceover….
@@TimsScaleModelling TBF Tim, preferred voice, was forever muting\unmuting - so lost the plot and patience quite quickly - Looks good though
Thats a Luftwaffe Aircraft plane of Hitler's Luftwaffe & Goring too. The Stuka was shot down in great numbers Swastika on the tail. Bad plane.
Good model.
This is a model kit you understand. Yes it was a devestating machine. I don't think this has to do with how bad it was or political.😐✌️
Looks like an AI reply - 😅
