not to complain but if you want to sound like a local you can't say, Peabody, it's Peabiddy haha. This is one, if not, Thee most beautiful city in America. I'm from Philly, but we can't hold a candle next to this beauty. Oh to live there. If only.
Philip McIntyre is believed to be a brother of Samuel McIntire. Not proven yet. But Philip McIntyre was captured during the battle of Dunbar (1650)and sent to Work in the Saugus Work as an indentured servant. He is my 10th grade grandfather. I grew up at 83 Essex St. It’s to the left of the Custom House. We used to climb over the Custom House fence because my friend Kristin lived right behind there. We would play on the back lawn area of the Custom House. One night one of the guards caught us playing back there. He said we were fine to play back there as long as we protect the area we were the guards too. We got to roam around Pickering/Derby wharf as kids. We never owned a house. We always rented apartments. Got to play over at the Salem Commons. Used to rollerskate on the basket ball court over there. Went to Camp Naumkeg camp up in the Willows.
Elias Derby is my 6th Great Grandfather, I am enjoying this video!
At the 17 minute mark, I saw that you passed my old house we used to live at 3 Essex St. we live on the middle floor on the left-hand side.❤

Good job! 👍🏻
those red buildings were originally painted with a concoction of sour milk & rusty nails. Can you imagine the smell when the sun beat down?
Wonderful video!
Owls are good luck

Is the friendship of Salem a reproduction of the original?
It’s a reproduction.
