Do you agree with us about Dunkin donuts? Would you have wasted $35 like we did when you could have just googled it lol. And If you hage been to Salem did we miss anything that you would recommend?
I grew up in the town next to Salem and could never understand why anyone would go there. Back in the 1970s it was just a depressed old mill city with horrible traffic. They've since rebranded themselves as a Halloween theme park. Either way, it's miserable.
Ahh, the Salem Witch Museum is a hokey, goofy, kitschy rite of passage for New Englanders. None of us would actually recommend it, and none of us actually enjoy it, but we've all done it! 😂 😂 You've been initiated now, though! Salem is fabulously spooky fun, and I'm glad you had fun! My favorite places are Diehl Marcus teas and candles, the Black Veil shop, Red's for breakfast bloody Mary's, Jaho Coffee, the gardens at the Ropes Mansion, walking out to the lighthouse, and doing ghost tours at night! They're spooky kooky fun!
Hello Stacey and Kev. Salem is definitely a destination and you hit a lot of things. I would have had both of those donuts. I usually order one or the other when I go. Stacey does a great job with research when visiting some place. Also looks like you had perfect weather for walking around. As always thank you for taking us on your adventures ❤❤
There’s so many Restaurant's and places in SALEM to Eat ,Bars ,Coffee places ,Stores, ,many other Museums and things too see and do in Salem! LOVE IT THERE! Next time you go to Salem you should visit The Willows , an ocean front park destination packed with games , food and fun . If you want to see real actors recreating the Witch Trials you have to visit The Witch dungeon Museum! It’s very cool .,its sad you didn’t read the reviews before entering the Witch Museum. I enjoy your videos and adventures! 💖
We were in Salem last week for 3 days, in between trips to Boston and Maine, my wife loved the hocus locus locations, although the village was closed when we were there, back at work now and depressed planning my next holiday
Another brilliant video. If you get the chance you should visit the witchcraft museum in Boscastle in Cornwall. Really enjoying the American road trip so far.
Absolutely lovin your vlogs love all these American trips we”re thinking of doing the same trip so it’s brilliant to see and get all your brilliant advice thank you ❤
Hey I enjoyed the video and like it when you give the introductory background information on places that you’re visiting with all the history. Even though I live in the US, 90% of what you mentioned I didn’t know. I try to stay away from coffee now, but in terms of donut/sandwich shops I want to know where Tim Hortons ranks. I heard you mention you prefer Kristy kreme over Dunkin’ lol. Hope yall are having a good trip so far
Did you not go to the actual Salem Witch Trials memorial ? Was opposite where the blue trees were. Personally I felt that was the main place to visit to pay respects to the people who were falsely hanged - was very respectful and actually why Salem became famous for the horror of what happened to the 20 innocent accused & the court system that totally failed to protect them.
As a resident, Salem Witch Museum is such a tourist trap. The building is cool looking but the “museum” itself is just… dioramas that were assembled somewhere in the 1980s. Lmao It’s really terrible. The best museum is the PEM and the best tour is on the Trolley in my opinion. House of the 7 Gables is also really neat inside I also recommend going on a tour there. We’re just a city-town, we’re not a theme park.
Oh, the Peabody Essex Museum is definitely the best attraction in Salem! I’m a half hour north on the New Hampshire border and the PEM is by far the best attraction in Salem. Haven’t been to a Halloween in Salem in many years. They’re fun. I’ve heard the city has even relaxed a lot on the restrictions they put on to rein in the wild Halloween crowds that caused some complaints maybe twenty years ago.
Went to Boston for our honeymoon in 2004 Went whale watching and we went to Salem for the day on the train a lovely town but I dragged my wife into the witch museum we still laugh about to this day on how tacky it was.

Thanks so much for watching ,and haha, if we go again, we know not to go to the museum . Been there done that and definitely didn't buy the T-shirt 🤣
In Massachusetts Dunkin Donuts are everywhere so we take them for granted

Thanks so much Matthew, really appreciate it
I have a Dunkin’ in my neighborhood, yet I go across town for Krispy Kreme anytime I want donuts
Should have got the lemonade at Lulu’s. Best I ever had.
Happy to see that you are enjoying our Northeast. Did you get to see the colors of the changing leaves?
Yes, they were just starting to change. As more vlogs go out and we drive further north that is when we really got to see it

Yes we did. We saw it when we were walking around not filming for a little bit. It 👍
Ahh too bag you didnt post on a local Salem site. They could sort out the good / bad sites.
If you are interested in witches in Europe, must read Silvia Federici's book Caliban And The Witch.
Thanks for the recommendation 👍

Glad it wasn't just us then 😁
We fell for the Salem Witch Museum trap… however, when we were there, there was a Halloween parade which was great and isn’t Salem beautiful?
Yeah, it was a beautiful place 😍
the Salem witch museum is the biggest tourist trapped in Salem and in Massachusetts. I live in the next town over and i wouldn't recommend it.
Congratulations, you’ve now been to what is often voted the worst tourist trap in the United States. That almost makes it worthwhile. Almost.
Haha, and didn't we know it!
