Let me know if things looks differently in your hybrid, and what options you have :)
Thanks a bunch, mate! Needed to see a POV video like this
Twoj GS wyglada naprawde kapitalnie :) - bardzo podoba mi sie ta wersja kolorystyczna.
Dzieki! Staram sie utrzymywac go w idealnym stanie :)
I liked this, I have a GS 350 AWD. Not hybrid, but that platform is pretty amazing!
I agree! It looks great, and is really comfortable for longer trips :)
Fajne autko👍🏻😁moje marzenie
Nice video thanks. Thinking about buying one of these but have 1 question. Does the petrol engine and braking system charge the battery? How long does it take roughly to charge if the battery is very low?
Yes,both charge the battery.
Should be in 1-2 minutes to see allmost full charged
Yes, engine/brakes charge the battery. As Mihai-Danut wrote, takes 1-2min to charge it completely. If you have longer downhill (like 1km), it's enough to charge entire battery just with brakes
Czesc Kolego, bardzo ladny egzemplarz: gratuluje.
Wprowadzaja low emissions zones i zaczalem zastanawiac sie nad zakupem takiego samochodu. Jakiego spalania oczekiwac, jezdze raczej spokojnie.
Dzieki i Pozdrawiam.
"2 to 3 km that is enough to cross the city" must be a small city.
Here in perth one suburb is same size.
just bought 2006 gs450h 290 000km, on battery i can do 50kmh for 2km. Havent done battery test.
In daily drive you don't press gas all the time, there are parts of road where you just roll or break - in real life 2km of battery range allows me to do 3-5km :) But for Perth is definitely not enough, I really meant small cities :D
Owner of a 2007 GS450h here 😎
How many kilometers or miles does yours have? Any major repairs or issues?
@@stebum picked mine up from a dealership at the end of 2019. Had only done 96,000kms which isn’t too bad for vehicles here in NZ. Since then, I’ve only managed to use up an extra 10,000kms. Has had a recent service and has flown through two WOF (Warrant of Fitness) due every 12 months with no issues or repairs needed. A very tidy and reliable make and model 😎.
@@dmncplpa I recently picked up an 07 gs450h with 93k km on odometer last week and it runs great but may need a hybrid battery replacement soon due to age. I ran Dr Prius app and it says it's at 38% lifespan remaining, replace soon. Runs fine though. Been reading online of inverter failure and that was scaring me so I've been trying to do research but might be scaring myself more than I should haha. Not too much info on these cars in general.
@@stebum woah. A hybrid battery replacement? Sheesh that could be costly from what I’ve heard. Based on my recent servicing at the local Lexus Car Dealership, there were no reports of the hybrid battery needing maintenance. Everything seemed to be fine (aside from the 12v battery which is slowly crapping out which I forgot to mention). I’m pretty sure given the amount of miles your vehicle has done prior to you purchasing, I’d assume there would still be enough juice in the hybrid battery to carry you through to another few more years at least. The hybrid batteries are made to last up to 10 years apparently. Wishing you the best of luck!
not sure they added that battery to assist 3.5 petrol engine so people could try save a few liters of gas with their high performance luxury sedans lol think its more for the hybrid torque and crazy acceleration and less about fuel economy
It actually helps with both - acceleration and performance is insane thanks to hybrid system, but also fuel economy is way better - GS with just 3.5L V6 takes in avg around 10-12L/100km, in this one with the same engine+hybrid avg is around 8L/100km ;) But I agree - performance is much bigger advantage :)
I feel my engine kicks on way too soon. I just got my hybrid battery refurbished last year
It may be caused by temperature, for example. When engine/battery is cold, my car doesn't let me to drive just on battery for first few minutes. Also during winter most of the time engine is on :)
You shouldn’t drive just on the battery, you don’t want to keep running the battery low! The hybrid should help the petrol engine in all driving conditions, it’s for pulling away and alongside the Petrol engine.
I agree - point of the movie was just to show, that it's possible :) Most of the time battery and engine cooperate and as you told, battery is used mostly for pulling away, stronger accelerating or during traffic :)
I can get it up to about 47mph on battery in my IS300H getting just over 55mpg which I'm delighted with. I was only getting 18mpg out of the IS250
Good score, not bad! ;) Differences in fuel consumption between hybrid and non-hybrid versions are seriously huge
So what trick?!!
What year is this model ?
2011 :)
that kW indicator instead of the Charge/Eco/Power indicator i think was one of the stupidest things Toyota ever did.
if i'd get a GS450h now i'd do everything possible to replace that with the JDM version - that had a CEP indicator just like in a Prius.
I have it and i like it way more than the charge/eco/power, it all depends on the person😅
