    I've been to some wild games at Kyle Field. Huskers in 98. Bonfire 99. 7 OT drama in 2018. This game. Nothing compares to beating Texas in 99, but I've never heard a louder Kyle Field than what I heard last night all the way in the top row of section 402. What a game. Proud of Calzada and the entire team. Gig em

      There was a Texas tech game one year where Aggies won 48 to 49… that winning moment I turned to my Mom to talk and (at the top of my lungs, the loudest I could go) realized I couldn’t hear myself. I don’t remember the section, but I was on the 10 yard line 1st deck… had season tickets since day I was born growing up in town

      Same. But its also great for the game when a team with all the 5 star recruits ISNT undefeated every year. Its even better if the Alabama Alumni run out of $$ to bribe players to come. As if Saban's magnetic personality, the vibrant architecture and culture of Tuscaloosa, is the reason disadvantaged kids flock there.

      Personally, I think Alabama will still make the playoff and likely win the national title. Similar to 2012 --- the midseason loss almost seems to take away the pressure of being #1, and now Alabama can fight their way back up the ladder which they tend to do.

    My take on Texas A&M. A&M is the most confusing team in the CFB currently. Don’t confuse confusing with inconsistent. They aren’t. From an outside view point looking in on them at a BROAD surface level you will make that immediate assumption. I don’t blame you though for making that assumption. They came off of a great season last year and headed into this year with a lot of questions about the O-Line and the QB spot. Some may say they were ranked too high in the AP and I as an Aggie fan have a middle ground on people who said they were “ranked too high” or “overrated” when it came to season play this year. The Aggies in pre season I believe had there bets most certainly placed on Haynes King to be the man. Media swarmed all over it like flies on shit and that boosted the teams trust alongside with them getting solid practice each and every week day in and day out with him as the number 1. They had so much invested on King that they didn’t have the “morale insurance” I’d like to call it if they lost him. Faith, Trust, and reassurance is what they had in QB 1 Haynes King. He brought them the inspiration and the excitement heading into the 2021 Season. King was a duel threat. I believe Jimbo and the rest of the team thought if the questionable freshman O-line can’t hold up in some games then King can make some yardage out of it due to his quick movement as an extremely talented runner. He had a faster 40 and shuttle time then Justin Fields and Fields was taking Ohio State to the upper echelon with the wheels he had when he needed to use them. I’m just trying to implement this picture that A&M as a team built so much faith on this kid that it was nearly detrimental and a risk they’d be willing to take. So fast forward to game 1 Kent State. They play mediocre but that’s somewhat expected cause it’s the first game of the year. Testing the new QB, O-Line, and new schemes. They win out and King had some bright moments and some low moments as expected. The back up Calzada was in for one drive and threw an interception. The team, the fans, and even I see why King got the job and not Calzada. Game 2 Colorado. King gets hurt on the second A&M offensive drive of the game. Now for anyone who has played collegiate, highschool, middle school, or even peewee level football know that if your star QB goes out in the middle of a game then a sudden spike of worry hits you like a bus. The investment, the time, the trust, and the hype dropped badly cause A&M at there mistaken default had no insurance for it. When king went down, he took the whole A&M team with him that day. Spirit and faith all together. I guarantee you that’s what happened. That’s not an alien feeling and I’ve played football all my life and it’s happen to me twice. Competition started from being a little hill turning into a mountain in a split second. That’s adversity. Now you throw in the back up. The guy who DIDNT win the job. It’s real tough when you are a back up QB taking up all of that weight from a major top 4 finished A&M program along side with the fans and the veteran players who now throw everything on your platter in an instance. That’s tough. REAL fucking tough especially in the middle of a neutral site game. The team offensively completely fell apart during that game except for the stellar defense they had. Calzada and the rest of the offense was on a different planet. It also added to the O-line! They didn’t have that secondary “king trust” in Calzada if they fucked up there job so now they really got to protect him. The only great moment that was taken away Offensively from that game was Calzada not giving up and leading them to the victory with the late TD pass to Spiller. Simple as that. Game 3 is New Mexico. The team, the fan base, and the media hear that King is out for probably the rest of the season. All of jimbos designs and plans have fallen through, team moral after barely winning against a mediocre Colorado is low, and Calzada now is named the full on starter. A total oh shit moment for Calzada. They go into the New Mexico looking like they did against Kent State but better on Defense. Way better on Defense. Calzada had his moment like how King did in the Kent State game. Showed some great moments and had some bad moments. The run game was somewhat in a void of oblivion. The team didn’t play to there potential. You could tell this wasn’t the same Aggie team that was winning a year ago. Different attitude. Different feel. And that all simply came from the low morale they had for Calzada. Game 4 Arkansas. This is where it really hit the Aggies and was extremely apparent something was wrong. A&M played these mediocre teams leading up to an unfamiliar Arkansas team that just beat Texas. A&M is facing offensive situations where there problem at QB is becoming apparent and the line giving up on multiple plays, they simply were not ready mentally or physically for an Arkansas team that got so much momentum from beating a Texas team. Arkansas is also an SEC team. This is a whole new animal we are facing. Not these small time teams, no, this is SEC play now and A&M is at a low cause of the teams sub par performances the previous weeks due to the mental stress of what’s happened to there pre season dreamt future that faded away with there original QB1. Calzada shits the bed this game. A deer in headlights and I don’t blame him. This is a QB who had no SEC prior snaps and completely messes up the chances for them to win this game cause of this whole new level of play compared to the crap teams they were playing before. Offensive line did awful. And as that was happening, the mental stability of there stellar defense collapses and KJ Jefferson throttles the Aggies in Arlington. The Aggies hit a new low people. This isn’t the team we projected them to be nor ever thought of them to be. I was pissed. I really was. I despised Calzada like he was intentionally sabotaging the team. Later I come to recollect on how much of an idiot I was for thinking like that. After this loss, the whole program is thrown into limbo. Game 5 Mississippi State. It showed people. It really showed that A&M was missing. This wasn’t the team I was familiar with. Sluggish play, Bad choices, and awful stigma all around. You could tell that these players are different from the ones from last year. Calzada did a tad bit better from the Arkansas game but it wasn’t too much of a step from where he was a week ago against Arkansas. Just a tad bit better. We lose and the season to us as fans are over. The media begins to question the extension of Fisher and Co. and the hope for anything good is on an LSU 2020 level. Calzada gets an onslaught of shit from the fans, the analysts, and the rest of the media sadly. A&M drops from the AP Top 25. We were at ground zero people. Let’s be honest. I had no faith we would get back up. The spirit seemed missing. The hustle suddenly died. This wasn’t the Texas fucking A&M that I knew. Game 6 Alabama. Through a tough week of being pissed and listening to the media shitting on my Aggies and I myself saying some dubious comments about them I didn’t know what I was in for. I sat in my bed at 7 and decided to say fuck it and watch the good old Aggies get throttled by Alabama cause it’s THE #1 Saban Alabama and just wanted be there as spiritual support for my Aggies. Boy..... The team that I saw on the field last night was nothing I’ve ever seen before. Seriously. Not ever. From a team that was at the bottom of the SEC West, QB 1 clipped, terrible O Line, a fading defense, and a battered hated quarterback this was the dynasty team that Jimbo Fisher was building at college station. I don’t think I’ve ever seen A&M play so we’ll all around the ball. Every star player did there job to perfection. The 12th man in the stands did there job as well. Calzada wasn’t Calzada. Calzada came from the fire baptized and beat Alabama as and unranked opponent, back up QB, with a sublime O Line. Never have ever seen a QB come back from something like that. I have so much respect for him, Jimbo Fisher, and the rest of the team. They kept there heads up. They didn’t quit. Now when I was looking for an A&M finish I expected this year to be a one loss to Alabama and a NY6 bowl or even playoffs but this team was in fact wayyyy above that vision. Now the only question is how will they continue? How will they use this game as momentum? How will Calzada play for the rest of the year after leading a team to victory after getting injured mid game and setting them back up in field position for the victory? How will the O Line replicate that amazing play of no sacks allowed for the rest of the season? It’s only a question of time people. Hard times create strong men. The rest of the season is in the air and I have good faith they will execute it perfectly. This is why I’m an Aggie fan. Good day.

    • @stuffuponstuffuponstuff7449
      @stuffuponstuffuponstuff7449 2 роки тому +3

      @@jjmanzano9 that’s what I’m saying. We may see a few step backs here and there but all in and all there most recent outing with Bama showed the maximum potential they have as a team when each and every player plays to there fullest ability. It’s astounding in my opinion that a freshmen O Line and Calzada turned it around this game. Typical teams in that situation would collapse in a heart beat especially playing a team like Bama, Clemson (previous to this year), and any other powerhouse team that’s having a stellar season.

    We live moment to moment, day to day, and yes, play to play. Get out on the field of play, whether that's at work, home, church or whatever and execute, give it your best effort every time. For all you shooters out there, #10 ring is goal everytime. It just could be your last play or your last day.

    I’ve been in Texas all my 61 years and for the past 2 decades the Texas Aggies have become both the biggest university in Texas, and the most loved school and team in the state of Texas. It was always sort of a split between the longhorns and Aggies for the last 40 years but the longhorns have not been relevant for 20 years. 73% of Texans love the Texas Aggies and about 38% the longhorns according to a 2019 Dallas Morning News statewide poll with +- 3% error.

    Historic Game; maybe its the start of a Playoff bracket and even SEC championship standings WORTH anyone's attention. It's gotten boring. Outside of a few thrillers, compared to NFL Sundays, Saturdays its pointlessly predictable. In the Pros the draft and salary cap ensure close games and plenty of upsets EVERY week.

      Yeah Patriots and Brady might have won it all a bunch of times but their path was always difficult, they always lost 3 or more games, playoff games were competitive to the 4th quarter usually....its not steamrolling covering 18+ point spreads every week, game over by halftime. The Brady Bucs didnt even win their division. Got blown out, badly, a couple times.

    We had to settle for 3 when we could have had 7. A kick 6 is an unusual play in football and an interception in our end zone all equals a 3 point loss by alabama. Alabama has been beat by double digits once in the past 11 years. The blowout loss. to clemson. Weplay poorly and still only lose by 3 or 4 or so. 2015 5 turnovers against olemiss and lose by 4. Tua has 3 turnovers and we lose by 4 in 2019 to the best lsu team ever. Mac has 3 ints and we lose to auburn by 4 or 5 in 2019. We never get blown out and there is a reason. At our worse we are still better 99% of the time against 99% of teams
