Can't believe I got to see this legendary game live. The only game I go to this season!
It was my final game as a student and one I'll never ever forget. Glad we got to see it live
9 men on the line. 10 sec run-off. game over. no legend. just bad officiating...as so often has been the case in my 56 yrs. by ignoring it, we only encourage more of it. The Linesman is looking RIGHT at it but didn't care. It's a black and white rule like 12 men on the field or lining up off sides. It's not discretionary. GAME OVER. LSU would've been in final four discussion and going now to better bowl instead of being in science project for UFC nonsense. And people wouldn't be hyping A&M's somewhat disappointing season, where between this heart breaker and the fiasco in AwBarn, it would deemed a failure and Jimbo's recruiting would have been hurt.

I'm an SEC fan and having seen this crap pass for legit has been going on for too long. These zebras need to be called out and humiliated and fired just like what happens to players and coaches who don't measure up. But, oh no, I'm told their job is hard (like no one else's is) and leave it alone. Marcus Spears was going to do a segment on it and SEC Network officials told him to bury it or else. he buried it.

You are talking about the spot confusion brought on by electronic snafu that had yellow stripe two yards too far. I get that. Back to what I said (which you ignored)...NINE men on the field. That was not debunked or even addressed. It was buried. And it's game over with run-off. Save all the "need to move on" and admit you lost the game. Allowing that play to stand, with three refs and the nation looking right at it, is a disgrace. Band and Parkinsons of no interest to me and has nothing to do with last play of the game blown call - which you have no answer to except college rah rah bullshit. Doesn't work with me. Stick to the facts and stick to the issue.

For those saying "he was short of the line," look at 51:47. You can see the official marker is at the 43 yard line, and Davis completes the catch at the 41, making it a first down.

If y'all really were THAT much better than us, it shouldn't have been an issue for y'all to go to OT, even if you (incorrectly) think the refs screwed you over. Take the L. I'm an LSU fan so of course I'm biased. I'm not here to hate because yes we had 7 chances in overtime to win and we didn't close the deal. This is the only call that I can say the officials just got completely wrong. Even the announcers said it was a catch and fumble. Every other call was questionable but I can see why they made them. If the roles were reversed and they called it an incomplete pass on LSU you guys would feel the same way. GG to the Aggies. Excited to see what happens next year in Death Valley.

WOW! You can't make this stuff up! The first 60 minutes were exciting, but it was only a prelude to the 7 overtime! I thought Boston College at Miami in 1984 (Doug Flutie Hail Mary) was exciting, but THIS is the real thing.

And Sternburger looked like he did make a “football move” after he caught the ball in OT1....I do hate LSU but it seems they may finally have a legitimate gripe when it comes to getting screwed by officiating.
Had that happened in the end zone and called a touchdown, you can bet you life they would say it was incomplete. That is a 50/50 play. I've seen it called complete, and incomplete, in equal proportions over the years.
The more I look at that replay the more it looks like the ball is constantly moving and not secure.
Yea I can see the 50/50 argument. I have seen it go both ways. Alabama had a similar catch and “football move” play in the iron bowl but the receiver went out of bounds instead of dropping the ball and they called it a reception. I guess either way they called that play one team was going to leave feeling shafted.
