Ahh the 60s. When I heard the song, I closed my eyes and thought back in time. Of course it's only the films from which I get my idea. But what would I give to just spend one day and one evening in this era. Everything seemed so simple and straightforward back then. The only song to reach #1 in two separate chart runs. It went to #1 in 1960 when the teens caught the track. It reached #1 again in 1962 when the adults learned the dance.🙂

My husband and some friends and me saw him in Bankstown RSL club in Australia years ago. He was brilliant. At the end, he invited everyone up on stage to do the twist and magically made his exit while we were all dancing. A very memorable night.

I believe it's a different song. It's called Twist Again.
I'm so old I can remember when this first hit our TVs, and the horror of the older generation, lol. I adored it. Still do. That drum beat- wow!
Let me guess! They were telling the teens to turn that race music off!?😂
@@koryb33kory No, the music from the 50s to 90s challenged the old view of how music was made.
it's very hard to believe that this is the number one song world wide since 1958.
