@@dccisco9515 Perhaps those outfits were outrageous back in 1966 - but the Sixties was a time of experimentation in fashion, and the Go-Go boots worn by the women at the time were a big part of that experimentation.
@@dccisco9515 Well, friend, this video was intended to be shown on the Color-Sonics and Scopitone film jukeboxes of the day, and the majority of those machines were in taverns, lounges, clubs and bars - not to mention rumpus rooms, so these videos always had enough tease to warrant one more quarter thrown into the machine. In regard to their wardrobe, let me just say that the sweet blonde dancer in the Saturn Yellow sweater, as I call it, had a very wide set of hips and pelvis, and as such, her sweater didn't completely come down to cover those hips, and she must have required her dancer's briefs to be cut to allow more freedom of movement - hence, her leg openings were cut much higher than those of the others in the ensemble, and admittedly, she was - pardon my Scotch - blessed by the buttocks fairy; as much as I hate to say this, she's my favorite dancer out of all of the dancers in this video - just for those very reasons.

I love the song, but I love Ms. Sinatra so much more. Imagine the world she grew up in and the stage she was at post Catholic school and all, and then the sixties. Wow! There is a good movie waiting to be made about her!
I couldn't agree more, Gregory - in fact, I've had an idea for a documentary feature film about Nancy, and when I get the chance, I'll start doing the research and investigation into financing and so forth.
When I was a kid in the 60's I mostly heard three songs selected on juke boxes: Roger Miller's "King of the Road", Ray Charles' "Hit the Road, Jack", and this one. It really brings back memories.
Fun fact: This song was originally written by the author, Lee Hazelwood, to sing himself. But Nancy Sinatra convinced him that it would be too harsh for a man to sing about walking all over a woman. He agreed and let her record the song, which became a hit in part because it promoted women standing up for themselves in their relationships with men, which was one aspect of the growing women’s rights movement in Western culture.
Heard when 6yrs young; sitting in the backseat of parents’ station wagon and was enchanted. Funny how music evokes powerful memories of place~time and nostalgia. 😻
yep i remember liking this song as a small child i didn't know what the words meant but i thought it was funny. i was like 6 i think when i heard it the first time.
I just love the thought that these women would tell stories to their children and grandchildren telling them they were in the Ed Sullivan show with Nancy. Absolutely love this song.
I always think this is a great performance...just grabs your attention and it's just such a simple concept. Sadly the 60's channel this was on Freeview with is now gone...one of the best tunes they played on it.
Nancy Sinatra is a great human being, activist for democracy and musician. Her music first entered my life in grade school, as my parents were Sinatra super fans. I heard her Bond song when those early films were re-released in the 1970s. I still think she did one of the top five ever. I've read that Nancy modestly says her voice was not that strong. I've always felt she possesses one of the most melodic voices ever in pop music. Her duets with Lee Hazelwood are sort of a perfect marriage of two people who weren't actually married. :) In her liner notes for the "Light in the Attic" Boots album re-master, Nancy mentions her iconic father listened to the songs for her first album and recommended her first single should be - "the one with the boots." Frank always knew. I wish I had known him. But I'm grateful for the music he and his family brought to my family's life. To those of you whose grandmothers danced in this video - that's so cool!
👍Nancy Sinatra, irreplaceable for me and an icon with this song. I heard it in the 1960s in the Federal Republic when the AFN in Saigon went on air with the program “Good Morning Vietnam” for the US Army. Today the song is relevant again for me thanks to the Federal Government's proposals to the Defense Minister for the reintroduction of compulsory military service. In the 80s, I myself served voluntarily in the German military for four years, also motivated by this song.♥
So do I, Johnny - especially the sweet brunette in the Sky Blue sweater, and, of course, the sweetie blonde in the Saturn Yellow sweater; those two are playing peek-a-boo with us by using their derrieres, if you catch my drift.
My grandmother is one of the background dancers. The one in BLUE!!!!

Vietnam Vet Tom
Fantastic times! I wish I could go back in time and enjoy those wonderful years again!
I remember the whole family gathered in the living room to watch the TV special 'Movin' With Nancy' back in 1967. I was 10. My sister-in-law and older sister were kind of snide (they were jealous). 😊
One amazing incredibly talented family. So proud of that.
Thank you Nancy for always making an appearance at the Rolling Thunder Memorial Day tribute in Washington, and supporting the Vietnam Vets. You will always be special in our hearts for going into combat shows not only to entertain us, but to show us you loved us and cared, too. We were thousands of miles away, but you brought a little bit of America to us. And thanks for the hug especially! God bless always!
Just fantastic! What fun to be in that studio and experiencing that vibe! 🤩
Nice ❤Relaxing tune!
Why it is so simple, but so great?
Because of her 🎉❤😊
БИСС !!!!!! БРАВО !!!!!! СУПЕР !!!!!!

Сегодня это выглядит смешно и примитивно.
I remember dancing around the house to this when I was a little girl ...Nancy Sinatra was the only one to do this song so good❤
Miss Loretta did it best. She lived it ❤
tis song has a very deep meaning ....
The lady in the light pink was having the time of her life
@@lennybird yes I agree 😊 and 1966,year I was born
They *all* were my friend.
@guydreamr great song year 1966, when I was born
I wonder where they are now ?
Especially the one in the light pink top😅😅
Yes and she was the sweetest one😍
It's a great song today because the talent is ageless. That era produced legendary bands and singers who will outlast generations of bands and singers to come.
We had the boots, go go dresses but longer ones because parents said we were too young lol. At slumber parties we played the song, sang and practiced all the dance moves. Good memories! 🥰
What a pretty and very interesting woman ,hello my darling ?
Ditto!
I love the guitar work on this song.
I always loved this tune. And I was only like 5 or something. Still love it and I'm over 63 now. Brilliant.
Relevant after how many decades !! ❤
Even after all these years I'm STILL crushing on Nancy!😍😍
This girl has class with a capital "C". Frank would be proud of her. Can't stop drooling.
You want that snatch admit it
@@jimbo43ohara51 Frank was proud of her, my friend - back at that time, when he called her on the phone, he would start the conversation with either, "Hello, star", or, "Hiya, record seller."
By the time this topped the charts, Frank would introduce himself to his audiences as, "Nancy's father."
Same Maximussparkus! I wasn't even a teenager (70's) and wondered why she wasn't the most famous woman in the world! Haha! I loved this song and still do! I also love her version of Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down).
I don't remember the music video being this fun and humorous, nor do I recall Nancy being this gorgeous. XD
Its probably new just a remake she looks old
@@dccisco9515 Actually, this is a restored video of Nancy - and the dancers - from May 1966.
Wooow!
This song remember my youth…..my first pair of boots!
Yes…..
Great Nancy Sinatra!!😊
You keep sayin' you've got somethin' for me
Somethin' you call love but confess
You've been a'messin' where you shouldn't 've been a'messin'
And now someone else is getting all your best
These boots are made for walkin'
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you
Ya
You keep lyin' when you oughta be truthin'
And you keep losing when you oughta not bet
You keep samin' when you oughta be a'changin'
Now what's right is right but you ain't been right yet
These boots are made for walkin'
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you
You keep playin' where you shouldn't be playin'
And you keep thinkin' that you'll never get burnt (ha)
I just found me a brand new box of matches, yeah
And what he knows you ain't had time to learn
These boots are made for walkin'
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you
Are you ready, boots? Start walkin'

I’m a great grandmother and still loving dancing and singing life is a journey not a destination xxx
I love the song, but I love Ms. Sinatra so much more. Imagine the world she grew up in and the stage she was at post Catholic school and all, and then the sixties. Wow! There is a good movie waiting to be made about her!
honestly shocked there isn’t already. i bet she led a fascinating life
I wish they would!
I couldn't agree more, Gregory - in fact, I've had an idea for a documentary feature film about Nancy, and when I get the chance, I'll start doing the research and investigation into financing and so forth.
She was so targeted by the jooish mob that she actually was harassed to death. They killed her, basically.
I knew her and wish I could contribute to a movie about her life. It’s epic.
Still love Nancy and this song♥️♥️ Our Shindig boots and go go boots back then♥️👍 I miss those times
When I was a kid in the 60's I mostly heard three songs selected on juke boxes: Roger Miller's "King of the Road", Ray Charles' "Hit the Road, Jack", and this one. It really brings back memories.
Thinking she is still alive in 2024.. A LIVING LEGEND

@@andreitdx9825 Nancy Sinatra is still alive. She released new music earlier this summer IIRC. On Prime Music.
❤✌🏼😎
wow
Her daddy lived a long life too
yes
Fun fact: This song was originally written by the author, Lee Hazelwood, to sing himself. But Nancy Sinatra convinced him that it would be too harsh for a man to sing about walking all over a woman. He agreed and let her record the song, which became a hit in part because it promoted women standing up for themselves in their relationships with men, which was one aspect of the growing women’s rights movement in Western culture.
Fantastic!! 😅
I'd be disappointed if I was a simp*

She was spot on
She's a Sinatra. song would never flop, daddy insured it.
I was very lucky to see these live on there farewell tour Judy was beautiful as ever vocals unbelievable the harmony was different class
One of the very first songs I remember from my 5 or 6 years old, radio playing in the house!
Ha the first song I remember from when I was 5 or 6 travelling up to Glasgow with my dad. I'm now 64😊
Heard when 6yrs young; sitting in the backseat of parents’ station wagon and was enchanted. Funny how music evokes powerful memories of place~time and nostalgia.

I just love the thought that these women would tell stories to their children and grandchildren telling them they were in the Ed Sullivan show with Nancy. Absolutely love this song.
Damn what a song for the ages
Truly Truly a Masterpiece by Nancy
Agreed.... 👍
Still so classic, and I still always find myself looking at the background dancers! Always happens for me ❤
I remember this song quite well, I was 10. No videos back then. You heard it on the radio and that was it.
This looks like the most fun video shoot ever.
I was thinking the same! Hahah
😜 I feel bad for the guy who had to mop up all the drool-- and God knows what else-- behind the camera afterward.
I always think this is a great performance...just grabs your attention and it's just such a simple concept. Sadly the 60's channel this was on Freeview with is now gone...one of the best tunes they played on it.
Why do I watch it over and over again?
Simple. It feels real good.
Then feeling good is good enuf.
( Elias quote to Charlie Sheen..Platoon movie)
Beautiful ladies!!!!!!
As a little girl, I adored Nancy Sinatra.
You Only Live Twice
3 times a lady smile
A song and promo video that simply puts things down to the fundamentals!😊
Nancy Sinatra is a great human being, activist for democracy and musician. Her music first entered my life in grade school, as my parents were Sinatra super fans. I heard her Bond song when those early films were re-released in the 1970s. I still think she did one of the top five ever.
I've read that Nancy modestly says her voice was not that strong. I've always felt she possesses one of the most melodic voices ever in pop music. Her duets with Lee Hazelwood are sort of a perfect marriage of two people who weren't actually married. :)
In her liner notes for the "Light in the Attic" Boots album re-master, Nancy mentions her iconic father listened to the songs for her first album and recommended her first single should be - "the one with the boots." Frank always knew. I wish I had known him. But I'm grateful for the music he and his family brought to my family's life.
To those of you whose grandmothers danced in this video - that's so cool!
You had to ruin it...just reminded she's another with TDS...
This song is an absolute masterpiece.
Yes indeedy....I'll be pissed forever that I was only a year old when it came out and thus way too young to appreciate it firsthand. 🤬

This is a Masterpiece by Nancy Sinatra
This is my childhood. My father used to play this. He had Nancy Sinatra´s album and I loved it and still do!
It fascinates me how every ‘young generation’ in every music era have their own vibe⭐️
This is the music that is timeless and should be held in high regard.....
That kiss blown out still makes my heart swoon!
Song for all time. Great voice.
Ein super , super , super Song !
Omg risqué outfits...love it.
So do I, Johnny - especially the sweet brunette in the Sky Blue sweater, and, of course, the sweetie blonde in the Saturn Yellow sweater; those two are playing peek-a-boo with us by using their derrieres, if you catch my drift.
Love this with Nancy , Nancy and Lee one of my all time favourites ❤❤🎉
