So it's almost impossible to do that without the thing Ian mentions 👆, creating your own motivation. And by that you actually affect on your hormonal background and bring yourself into a state where you are actually able do deal with the things. Kudos Ian
Yes, exactly. And Ian also made a good point about the fact that if you have (generate) the motivation, you will feel happy doing the training. He didn't say it, but it would seem to me this creates an upward spiral, with one feeding the other.

I don't believe he was comparing the two or using one as a substitute, he mentions discipline is necessary to do the task, motivation for him just makes it more enjoyable. In my mind motivation and discipline are two sides of the same coin you have to have motivation to be disciplined (I'm not going to spend a life time balancing a book on the tip of a pen because there's no motivation for me to do that, the things I need discipline to do I do for a reason, its working towards a goal that I am motivated for) and you have to have discipline to act on that motivation
@@Level-Pro-MaxYes, but interestingly enough, it’s also discipline, when you make yourself do the things you don’t feel like doing, you’re practicing the skill of discipline. Within the year of 2022 my grandpa died when he fell and hit his head, 3 month later my aunt died from cancer and 6 month later my dad died from lung cancer.
