    What is it about that long section just before the last right corner- before Carousel? You just can't hold speed up there.....been there twice , I thought my car had lost boost as I could hardly get it over a ton.
    Boys.....I say this with respect as I admire your driving skills and zest as I think many do, but I'd seriously get cages in your cars ( if you have,not already) at your speeds you could loose it big time and talent and energy like yours should be protected.
    Keep doing what you doing, I have,not stopped smiling all morning watching this👍

    • @CamberandCombustion
      @CamberandCombustion  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks! For our Clio 197 we used a set of Laguna wheels as we picked them up cheap, they have a wider offset so do stick out a little further but not too much that they rubbed. Can't remember specifics on numbers unfortunately.

    • @CamberandCombustion
      @CamberandCombustion  4 роки тому +3

      As a standard car they have a super capable chassis and are designed to be abused on track! But simple changes like some performance springs (slightly stiffer and lower) will help control body movement, and if you can run the Cup dampers then even better. Adding some negative camber to the fronts with adjustable top mounts is probably another good idea to help use all of the width of the tyres.

    Hey guys! Really like your videos, but I have a question. How often do you change parts in the suspension like rubber bushing, anti-roll bar mount, and maybe even driveshafts, etc? I don't really have a feeling of what attacking the curbs like that does to the maintenance cost of the car so I was just wondering if you'd be willing to share...

    • @CamberandCombustion

      Hi Kostas! It's difficult to say exactly as it depends how often we go to track days, but usually after one trip to the Nurburgring for a few days with around 20 laps there are some balljoints that will have started knocking. No doubt hitting the big kerbs means they have to be changed more often

    Awesome footage, awesome driving, but seriously to both of you guys, you are both on the limit on most of your video's (especially the guy in the 306) at the speeds you are doing one big off could potentially be disastrous from a health / life perspective, get fooking cages installed in both cars for fooks sake, your bollox are not bigger than the value of your life........At least if you have a big off (which I hope you don't) then you'll have some decent chance of surviving. Call me an idiot but I was once a 20 something lad that was involved in 160+mph races in road cars with fook all protection.
